Thank you so much for the demonstration! Been frustrating with the chocolate sticking to the mould. I feel soooo relived to have found this. There are many resources on the internet but they're not easy to be found. It's a struggle to find to right words to describe the difficulties haha.
Hi so how do I colour my own cocoa butter?wat temperature do I heat it to add colour,n wat temperature should it be when I put in molds?wat do u use to clean ur molds ?thanks
You would need to add powdered color to the melted cocoa butter. There isn’t a specific temperature it needs to be to put color in but cocoa butter (with or without color) needs to be tempered for spraying/painting in a mold, just like chocolate. In a production setting we do not generally advise cleaning molds as properly tempered cocoa butter colors and chocolate will remove completely from mold, leaving no need to clean. Also, consistent cleaning can degrade your molds. That said, hot water and a neutral ph dish soap is what we use when needed. Also, a microfiber cloth to buff the mold helps. Think something like a Shamwow.

How much silk do you add to the coloured cocoa butter?
1% but I usually end up using more.
My cocoa butter went out of temper so I tried this method of silk again and it did not work. Still pooling. How to troubleshoot?
Remember that your cocoa butter needs to be around 90 F when you add the silk or else the cocoa butter will de-temper the silk.

Will I need an adapter to connect the Iwata compressor to a Badger airbrush? If so, what adapter is it?
Yes. The compressor came with one but I ordered a bunch from Dixie Air Brush Supplies. It’s a Iwata (hose) to Badger fitting.
What is the compressor brand called?
It's an Iwata.
What book is that?
