@@aniumar5964 Plenty of aunties in the fandom too :D Once you are into kpop for a long time (about 15 yrs in my case) the groups just get younger and, for me, NCT are like beloved nephews. It's not always that you find them attractive in that sense, lots of ways to be Czennie! Kpop is built on the crush concept but I feel like the fandoms get broader and broader as the years go on.... (or maybe that is just me) x

This Killing Voice performance, as the title indicates, is supposed to showcase NCT-127's outstanding vocals, so what you are hearing is a complication of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They have a lot of songs, so you are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs.
In this performance there are 9 members -- from left to right: *Johnny (lead vocalist and sub-rapper), Yuta (lead vocalist), Haechan (main vocalist), *Taeyong (leader of all of NCT, main rapper and dancer), Jungwoo (main vocalist), Taeil (main vocalist), Doyoung (main vocalist), *Mark (main rapper and dancer) and *Jaehyun (main vocalist and sub-rapper).
Taeil is the oldest of all of NCT and he is 28 and Haechan is the youngest in NCT-127 at 22. However, if you want to know who is the youngest out of all the NCT members, that would currently be NCT-Dream member, Jisung, who is 20.
NCT -- which stands for Neo (a pop culture term that means new/original) Culture Technology -- currently has 23 members. And the group right now as a whole has 4 sub-units -- NCT-U, NCT-127, NCT-Dream and WayV.
NCT-127 is NCT's second sub-unit, which debuted in July 2016. NCT-127 currently has 9 or 10 members. This group is more of a fixed unit, so the member lineup stays the same most of the time. The 127 in this unit's name stands for the longitude coordinates of Seoul, South Korea, on a map of the world, which means it's 127's job to represent Seoul -- the birthplace of Kpop -- around the world.
Therefore, some of NCT-127's songs are part of NCT-127 mini albums and other songs are part of full albums that include songs from all of NCT's sub-units. Hence, why some of the album descriptions mention NCT-127 and others just say NCT.
"Fire Truck" was NCT-127's debut song, and at that time there were only 7 members of NCT who were in the"Fire Truck" MV -- Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Taeil, Yuta, Winwin and Haechan. However, now that NCT has 9/10 members they also include Johnny and Jungwoo in the song whenever they perform it.
Fun fact: What you heard was the Korean version of "Highway to Heaven," but if you watch the MV for the song, you will see they also have an all English version. ("Highway to Heaven" was released during their North American leg of their tour in 2019.) They have an all English version of some of their songs because NCT-127 promotes a lot in the U.S.)
"Faster" was just an (INST) instrumental version of the song, which means it's just the music and they don't sing. "Faster (INST)" was the intro to "2 Baddies," so Johnny was supposed to be introducing "2 Baddies" at that moment while "Faster" was playing. "2 Baddies" was their most recent comeback song and the whole reason why they were on Dingo's Killing Voice was to promote "2 Baddies."
SM Entertainment is known for having some of the best singers in the industry. That is just a fact about the type of people SM selects to be a part of its company. You can't be an SM artist without being an amazing singer. So even the company's rappers receive intense vocal training. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. All of SM's artists and groups are known for having out-of-this-world live vocals and perfect harmonies.
The way NCT works is it's a group with an infinite number of members. (There are an unknown number of trainees who are still waiting to debut who could potentially become members of NCT.) As SM Entertainment's male trainees graduate from the training program and SM decides they are ready to debut, they become a member of NCT and they debut as part of one of NCT's sub-units. (They just added 2 new members -- Sungchan and Shotaro -- at the end of 2020, who are expected to eventually become members of a new sub-unit.** )
**NCT probably will be growing to 26 members soon. SM has been showcasing 3 new SMRookies -- Shohei, Eunseok and Seunchan (When Seunchan debuts he will be the youngest member. He is currently 19) -- lately and they recently performed at the SMTown concert with Sungchan and Shotaro. So, by all indications, it looks more and more like NCT will be getting 3 new members and they probably will be part of the new unit. It is speculated that the next sub-unit will be a Japanese based unit because Shotaro and Shohei are Japanese and they have recently been doing a lot of promotions in Japan.
NCT is one of the most internationally diverse groups in all of Kpop. The members as a whole currently represent 9 different countries and they speak 8 different languages. For example, there are 10 native Korean members (*Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, *Jaehyun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung, Jungwoo and SungChan), *Mark is Korean-Canadian, *Johnny is Korean-American (from Chicago), Yuta and Shotaro are Japanese, *Ten is Thai, Lucas is Chinese-Thai from Hong Kong, *YangYang is Taiwanese but he grew up in Germany, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members (WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle). However, they all live and work in Korea, so everyone speaks Korean fluently. Plus, many members have attended international schools or lived abroad, so there are several members who are also *fluent in English, on top of speaking 2 or more other languages.
NCT is a group that is constantly changing and rearranging its members and sound and we never know quite what to expect from them. With an infinite number of members and a concept that allows the members to rotate between sub-units, changing, adding and subtracting members depending on the concept and style of the group or song, you should never expect the same thing from them. You are better off always expecting something new, that somehow, also ends up sounding very much like NCT. LOL
NCT is SM's attempt at taking over the music industry around the world. SM's goal is to eventually have NCT sub-units representing every major city in every country in the world. Some day they hope to, for example, take several Japanese members and create a Japanese sub-unit, or put together members from Thailand and create a Thai sub-unit, etc. It has always been SM's plan to have world domination. And to that point, right now NCT-127 is the group that SM is using to try and get their foothold in the U.S. music market with all English versions of song like "Regular" and "Highway to Heaven" and collaborations with American artists such as Jason Derulo, as well as U.S. concert tours and promotional tours with the American media, etc.
So, this year is NCT's 7th anniversary, but debut dates are different for any number of members because it all depends on when they were added to the group. And many of the members of NCT actually became recognized by fans even before debut because they were part of SM's pre-debut group project called SMRookies, so SM did activities with several of the members before they debuted.

We obviously have eyes and we cant help but acknowledge the talent (vocal and dancing) and the looks. A Kpop performance can just set your mood and your day is automatically better 😃
Despite Kpop growing globally, we strongly believe it is still very undervalued. And a clear example of this is when you see international or western music awards, you will never see a Kpop group winning... even if they preform a song in English..... However, what we do see is western artists getting way more credit for only delivering vocals.

NCT is a 23 member group and all of them have different personalities. I would recommend the "NCT Guide to the hyung line" and "NCT guide to the maknae line." Both about an hour but it´s so worth it ;-)
