I had the same problem I messaged them and got a discount on my next purchase. They are still great to buy from I’m in Australia and they ship quite fast to
No, they will be substantially dearer as a UK one is, but you’ll get better quality and won’t be supporting an oppressive regime. We have to draw the line somewhere and stop buying PRC tat.
I Purchased this jig and it turns out that it is not metal but plastic the attachments do not fit or work very disappointed in the product conceptually I think it works out well I’m gone have to make a lot of modifications to use it on a daily basis
Have 3 type jig look like this 1. From plastic 2. Cash iron 3. Aluminium The price more cheap but not like your imagination, my jig made from aluminum amd precision
@@plywoodworking There is no way to guarantee your center marks on both sides lined up the way you do it because you resent the tool. Also, when measure the squareness of the dowel, you were flexing it a little. Another indication that it is not straight. (Check out 4:31)
What is the black colored tool you are using at 3 minutes 38 seconds called and where is it available I would like to purchase one. Thanks for your help.
I am sorry to say that but the drills are not punctual, they are off the center. It is not obvious from the video that these errors are made by you or by the equipment.
I don't like that this, and nearly every portable drilling system, in a ⅜" chuck. A ½" chuck would be sooo much better. At least let us put a ½" chuck on it ourselves.
@avryptickle yes... but it's *extremely* overpriced. But that's Rockler. I ended up making my own with 10mm linear rods/bearings, some plywood, and a bit of 1/4" aluminum plate. It took me a few tries to get it perfect, but It's so much better than the Rockler or the Woodpeckers. And for the price of the Rockler, I could build 2 of the ones I made (the chuck is the most expensive part at $53. But a good chuck is priceless.) I'm currently building a larger version to make into an actual drill press. Being a perfectionist, to a fault, has had me break it down as it wasn't staying 90°. So I'm waiting on 20mm linear rods to come in. I just took JSK-Koubou's idea and tweaked it a bit to lighten it up a little.
@@carterscustomrods you’re not wrong there. I was also looking at the rocklers and wp, and I see things I like about both, and was definitely thinking it wouldn’t be impossible to combine and improve them.

a very poor quality product, it has clearances that prevent precise work, money wasted, the host of the show does not discuss and does not show the shortcomings of the device, but only shows that the drill is spinning, such a channel should not be subscribed because it is unreliable, the only thing that can be said about the device is that it is red
Does it come with a spy balloon?
Thank you very much 👍👍
Nice review - i just got mine a week ago. Its just as you showed although one of the extension bar holes was not tapped completely thru.
You right have some case like that, my friend get like that and tapping manualy😁

Thanks for confirming that this doesn't drill straight.
thank you very much!!!
Bought one with your link. Thanks.
Glad can help
@ 5:30 you can use those white lines on the sides of the hole to align your bit's center, just get them aligned with the lines your drawn.
Yes you right, i can use align but i show use centering stock automatic perfect and straight on center
I have one of these & it's junk, the chuck is difficult to tighten properly and now the chuck bearing has seized.
Maybe you get fails product, my friend get like that too 1 made from plastic and the others made from cast iron look terrible
Thoughts on NEW woodpecker Drill guide vs Rockler. Similar price.??

Will this take and hold a 20mm drill bit for wood cheers

It did not drill a vertical hole, even in such a narrow piece of srock. Look again at the exit hole - the centre was well off the target.
i dont know why like that, but this tools still work properly until now

Nice! What is diameter of extension rod?
the length is 300mm?
thank you very much!!!! sorry i forget about the detail
As good as it might be it’s from the PRC, so I’ll buy one that is US or European made.
thank you very much 😊
Hi! Could you write please, the maximum drill bit diameter? 50 mm or more? Thank you!! :)
max drill 35 mm, maybe you can use 40mm max but very closer

yup, but really help drill on middle
Don't believe it. It's plastic.
this is aluminium, yup i know made for plastic the price is much cheaper than this.
A shameless copy of the Woodpeckers design. I would never buy your stolen design.
Because I am on a budget that's why i put this, but if you have more I recommend getting the original version

At 6:00 I can clearly see not-that-perfect-straight result. It's not even good-enough-straight. For such a thin piece the drill was quite off...
thank you very much for suggestion!!
I am a big fan of woodpeckers, and after seeing you reviewing a knock up of version, I clicked on unsubscribe

I don't know what mil's problem is. I put silicone oil on the upright shafts and the chuck support slides better.
