  • If your Lasko heater has a small, green leaf pictured on one of its control buttons it features the Save-Smart function. This means you can set the automatic thermostat to maintain your room’s warmth while using less energy!
Begin by pressing the green leaf to activate the Save-Smart® function.
Next, set your heater’s thermostat to the desired temperature using the plus and minus buttons. The default Save-Smart® temperature is 72 degrees fahrenheit, but can be adjusted.
When you reach the desired temperature, the set temperature will flash several times and the display will return to showing the current room temperature.
When the air temperature is less than the set temperature, your heater will automatically turn on and run at HIGH heat setting. Once the thermostat reaches your set temperature, the heater will automatically switch to LOW heat to save energy.
If the air temperature reaches 4 degrees above your set temperature, the heater will automatically turn off and then cycle on LOW mode to maintain the temperature.
When you want to deactivate the Save-Smart® function, just press Save-Smart® again or the high/low button for continuous heating. This function works best in an enclosed room size of 300 square feet.
These instructions and other tips can also be found in the user manual for your heater.
