*Love the size and it fits perfectly in a corner but **Fastly.Cool** the whole room. Really like how you can auto adjust how long you want the fan to be on. It is quite but highly effective.*

Excellent explanation! I was trying to find out why my heater was going up or down the temperature I had selected, and this video told me exactly why, and avoided the hassle of having to read through all the instructions. Thank you!

Lasko Oscillating Digital Ceramic Tower Heater (755320) has a PID that does not shut off at 2 degrees F above set temp. At night this machine will be showing 85. Pressing the minus button shows 71. Pressing minus again lowers to 70. Heater will not turn off. Swapped out the other two of the same model, same result.

When you turn this thing on, it has the temperature number displayed and it will make you think: this is obviously a fantastic digital temperature controlled heater sent from the gods. No it isn't. Not until you press either the minus or the plus once. Twice or more and you change the setting. But the first press of either - or + (every time you power it on) only then makes it into a digital temperature controlled heater. You can turn it on and it will remember low or high and the temp setting last used, but it doesn't remember that it should care what temp you had set it to. Low doesn't care about the temp only high does. But when it turns on, and even if it is in high mode -- it's actually in constant heat mode until the either the minus or plus is used to make it care about the temp it is displaying. This goes for the remote too. Turn it on, then -/+ or else in the middle of the night in your bedroom, you'll wake up to this thing cooking you well above 85 degrees even though it was set to 71.
Constant on with a digital temperature number on display is the dumbest default for a heater.
You would never think product design would choose that. But here it is. That is how this thing works. Checking reviews shows other people were confused about getting cooked at night as well. Customer support keeps sending a link to this dumb video. Ok. The guy says you have to press -/+ once, but he doesn't clearly state that otherwise it's constant on heat. It remembers everything else but the one thing you would just assume. The truth told poorly is a lie. And this youtube video does not make it clear and people are left wondering for a while why doesn't this thing work correctly? Then you find out with no help from Lasko. And you realize: that is the dumbest design choice.

So if you don't click the auto, will it just stay on at the temperature you set without turning off?

Well, my digital unit only sets between 39º - 47º. Does not go higher or lower. Why? No guesses. It’s brand new.

Mine keeps turning off. Is there a 12 or 24 hour auto shutoff? Trying all different modes and still I come back to the room and it's off.
