Saving Another One. Going over the Cab and Bunk of this 1987 Peterbilt 359 Restoration Project, it was quite a mess. The only visible damage was to the headliner although as always once you look at the back of each panel you are always going to see some damage due to water or pests. This damage is a lot easier to fix than you might imagine especially if you know an upholsterer or can get your hands on the proper cardboard to replace the damaged sections. Usually this level of damage from rodents in trucks results in rust and corrosion, however this time we got lucky. These projects go a lot easier when nothing is ceased or corroded. A lot of time and patience went into cleaning up the origional interior in order to save it. Its getting rare to see these interiors in good shape these days especially with a thriving aftermarket scene however none of them seem to do velure headliners, making the replacements look really out of place which is why saving the headliner is so important.
Still trying to figure out my new camera equipment, i lost the audio for part of the video and had to resort to scratch audio off the gopro for the first part of the video. Nothing is wrong with the equipment it more just rookie mistakes, although in hindsight it would have been smart to get the comica boom pro as it has a backup audio recording in the transponders. I really like the way i did it using the zv e10 to capture the audio even if i used very little footage from it, and using the gopro on the gimble to capture B-roll. However the rolling shutter is a big negative, I know it can be fixed with catalyst browse but when i used it handheld to shoot the dash parts it looks very "swimmy" way more than i would have expected. its a great tripod camera but would require either a lot of work in post or a gimble to be usefull when shooting handheld.
