    I don't know what grounds you are standing on to state that the gematria he used to come to that conclusion was preposterous. Ichthys means "fish" (which is a codeword for the meaning of the spiritual journey of seeking towards enlightenment) nun means fish (and also to multiply) as well as it has more esoteric associations with Kundalini (the serpent (385, which is also the meaning of the hidden esoteric meanings of the Hebrew word for Messiah 385). How is that a stretch?
    If it's a little hard for you to believe that learned people may know this stuff, I would understand, but people in these orders do know these things, as they are taught these things. And btw, the reason that most people wouldn't understand the manifestos, therefore leading them to believe they were some type of propaganda is the same reason. The adepts that wrote it out gematriacally hidden symbols in the manifestos that only other adepts would see or understand because those meanings weren't meant for the public back then.
    Adepts of the time used to communicate with each other in code, or their lives could have been ruined by simple smearing of their image.

      Great point Val. I have been studying Tarot since the 1970s. My first deck was the Hoi Polloi deck that I bought at B. Dalton Bookstore in I think 1977. I'm also very experienced in Qabala. Here's a link to the extensive Qabala project I completed a few years ago. I'm selling it all on ebay because I have nowhere to continue to store it...www.ebay.com/itm/275192963350?mkevt=1&mkcid=16&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0

    Can you explain the notion that historians would consider the manifestos "early rumblings of Protestantism" when Protestantism started in the previous century?

    • @Fr_Mitch
      @Fr_Mitch  7 місяців тому

      Although the Protestant experiment tecnically began, I suppose, with Luther's 95 Theses in 1517, it took time for it to get up a head of steam and for us to see where it would ultimately lead. Remember that Luther did not himself, at least initially, want to split from the RCC. It would take 100 years for Protestant ideas to combine with scientific developments and touch off the Enlightenment. The manifestos are early rumblings of the earthquake to come -- the wave of Protestant Modernity that crested and crashed in the form of the Secular Meaning Crisis which is drowning us today. But it looks as though Post-modernity is on its last legs and a Post-secular Counter Enlightenment is building, so we can hope and pray for the return of Civilizational Christianity.

    I think you misunderstood the book, or maybe Paul Foster Case didn't make himself clear in the book on the cases that you presented. It isn't a religion, matter of fact, being someone that is in the school, I would venture to say that it literally is anti-dogmatic and you are painting the works of case as if it spreads hate (which nothing on the school, or Paul Foster Cases works are about hate, including towards secularized religion), but it seems his opinion in the book sees that there is a major problem in religion (which, let's not kid ourselves, that one should be obvious by now). Kuthumi is an enlightened master and neither was kuthumi speaking hate, but truth stings. Religion has caused more division and violence than just about any other malady on earth and specially the crusades are a shiming example of how the powers that be use religion to control people into agendas.
    Regardless, the works of Paul Foster Case are about living a loving existence (ONENESS would be the word, or perhaps unity of mankind with one another). This is the hope of every person that has ever seen the true causes of the violence upon the earth.... They just wish for unity and love between mankind, but people would rather be divisive. It's an ongoing problem to say the least, and religion hasn't helped on that front. If you knew of his training, the true intensions behind the world, the school that he founded, then I don't know if you would be so quick to I'm just dumbfounded that anyone that knows these things haven't tried to say anything on his behalf, but you failed to observe that the people in the comments were all members trying to to be loving, polite, and kind in action (exactly what the school that you are calling a religion teaches). I hope you have a good day sir!

      I'm sorry, but it has been so long that I barely remember the book, which was required reading for a seminary class years ago. And, since studying the occult is dangerous, a dead end, and a waste of time, I just don't care to re-familarize myself with the material. I would just say that we should judge these occult thinkers, their ideas, and the organizations their ideas support, by their fruits (Matt 7:16). Occult organizations bear little to no fruit -- they bring few people to baptism, and in fact, disrupt and confuse believers. Meanwhile, conventional beliefs and believers bear much fruit. 76% of the world's charitable works are done by Christian churches. The RCC is the largest non-government provider of health care services in the world, operating 18,000 clinics, 16,000 homes for the elderly and those with special needs, and 5,500 hospitals - managing 26% of the world’s health care facilities. Sir, you are sadly mistaken. I pray you stick with religion and theology. This subject is not for you. You travel your path and leave occultism to the occultist. You are not ready for this understanding and that is okay.

    After reading this book you still called Rosicrucianism a religion. Perhaps you didn't understand it as much as you thought

      PFC says it's a religion. From page 16-17: "" But so that every Christian may know of what religion and belief we are, we confess to have the knowledge of Jesus Christ...in certain and noted countries maintain defended and propagated. Also we use two Sacraments, as they are instituted with all Forms and Ceremonies of the first and renewed Church."

      @Fr_Mitch Greetings sir! Thank you for the review. I read the passage a bit different. He is addressing Christians and telling them they possess the knowledge of Jesus Christ. He also says they use two Sacraments, as they are instituted with all Forms and Ceremonies of the first and renewed church. None of this says the Rosicrucians are a religion, it says they possess a knowledge of Jesus Christ and preserve it through ritual. Jesus himself never founded a religion, a religion was founded after him. PFC is telling Christians that Rosicrucians have the true knowledge.

      @avestaone-lo3de I understand and appreciate that you are passionate about this subject. But my position is that this book is not useful (Matt 7:16-20). The fruit of PFC and Rosicrucians is slim compared to the churches. PFC and his associates have built no charities, no hospitals, no cathedrals, no homeless shelters, no orphanages; have cultivated no great scholars, scientists, philosphers, or saints -- no Aquinas, no Le Maitre, no St. John Paul II, Plantinga, Craig, Hahn, etc. And, judging by the comments, PFCs teachings also struggle to produce supporters who are kind, wise, and gracious. I mean no ill will, only love. I beg you to turn away from occultism and embrace your church of choice. I'm here for a Google Meet any time. mitch@heritageartsinc.com.

      @avestaone-lo3de What is my church? And what is its "inner doctrine"?

    • @Fr_Mitch
      @Fr_Mitch  Місяць тому

      @avestaone-lo3de I'm not a Roman Catholic but rather an Old Catholic, or as some prefer to say (depending on perspective) an Independent or Schismatic Catholic, and I know far more than you've assumed. I spent years in the occult. Bought my first Tarot deck in 1977 (yes, 47 years ago). Practiced Qabbalah. Former head of the local L.O.R.E. group, etc. etc. But I accepted the call and left it all behind and became a priest. The occult is empty and self-serving. It is at the bottom, about getting what you want, about having the secrets nobody else has. The Universal Church, the Mystical Body of Christ, is about giving yourself, and your knowledge, away. The occult is about winning. The church is about losing. The devil is diabolic, that is, his plan is DI- ( meaning "two") ABOLIC (to abolish or destroy). He seeks to divide and conquer. Like a good predator, he separates his prey from the herd and slays them. I beg you, do not fall for his ploy! Rejoin the company of the faithful. Turn back to the church from whence you came, join another, or participate in mine. I present Holy Eucharist on Sundays at 10 AM Eastern m.ua-cam.com/users/12thkeylive
