Not for serious detailing but it's nice and quiet! Would probably be great for polishing glass or applying wax or something like Meguiar's Cleaner / Wax.
I have been detailing for 45 years, make a great living out of it. I have 3 shops and one on the side that is private, for Corvette owners and classic cars, mine of course. Nothing wrong with this polisher, I have 2 of them and use them for jeweling a car when I am at my home shop. Secluded from all the noise at the others and want to get lost on my own projects. Outstanding content you made here. If I may, just bit of advice, try keeping the light a bit farther away from the car or object. It will be much easier to see and you are correct. White light for lighter or Brighter cars and a dimmer light .... say about 3500K for darker (Black) cars. I have seen your work before and it is excellent. Thank you for sharing
im honestly open to try anything, but ill be honest that i dont intend to buy the griots right now. I currently own the LE, the shinemate, DIY's rotary, and the Detailco 15 and 21 are both on the way to me. I have plans to buy the DIY cordless units and the Shinemate mirka clones this year and thats like another 1600 in polishers, i just dont have the budget to try everything. FWIW I trust Matt at OG and i know he liked the griots until he started carrying the LE.
@ thanks for replying. I look forward to watching the reviews for the polishers you mentioned. Also, I didn’t know shinemate was making a mirka clone. Sounds interesting!
Pretty cool little tool there. Yes, I know it’s obvious but of course it will work to correct paint considering the fact polishing by hand works too lol. Only negative is that it’ll probably just take a bit longer. Side note: maybe want to slow arm movement down a little. Moving pretty quick there.
Have to say it’s somewhat refreshing to see someone who’s still learning the ropes when it comes to paint correction. Far too many people who are just starting out think they need to use “the best” tool when it’s better to start learning with something basic like this that is still able to provide similar results as the more expensive options.
Great video!! I was waiting for this one! I love size and quietness! How was vibration? It sounds like a massager haha. It looks like it had enough speed to spin out the pad washer. Wonder how wool pad would go. Fun little thing. Perfect for someone new or nervous. Thanks Jeff!
Certainly nothing wrong with this machine for a random dude in the garage. It's not any different than the Porter Cable 7424 that everyone was stuck with in the days before large orbit DAs came out. And for that matter it's not much different than a gear driven Flex as long as you're not stalling it. That Merc paint is pretty hard and you were working it pretty fast with a fine foam pad. If you stepped up to a blue wool and slowed down your arm speed, I bet you would've gotten more scratches out. It's definitely the perfect little machine for C6 App, or for guys that want to machine apply a wax, sealant or glaze.

Pretty impressive for the price. I like how quiet it is.
Definitely like that you open to try a variety of products and share them with us. Please keep up the good work!
How fun Jeff. I picked one of these up on BF. Hey my eye on one for a long time. Just to apply waxes or sealants.

Thank you very much for watching and the kind comments.
Impressive for such a small machine. Good technique dude.
I have one of those little machines. It's really handy for applying glaze, sealant and wax.
Ideal I should think for using with C6 App.
Perfect for a "paint enhancement!"
Would you be open to trying the griot’s G8/G9? They’re frequently mentioned online as the best entry level polishers

yea ill play with it more when i correct the MB, its pretty good vibration wise, im guessing thats because of the lack of throw. I think its neat.
i have 1 which i only got for applying the c6 app which is all i use it for as it’s no good for paint correcting really
