      I think they were trying to get more evidence. The bullet alone would not be enough. And also, they may not have known the gun belonged to him since it was a round that cycled thru the gun but was not discharged. I hope they have plenty of evidence to convict him and keep him .

      @@habibba2323 i don't particularly trust cops but i do respect the position they're in. many put their life on the line just to do the job itself. i think the problem here was the lack of adequate staffing and investigators working on this case. i feel like they just forgot about it altogether after a few months, which is so so unfair not only to the victims but to their families wanting answers as well. this could've been solved within a year with proper resources, yet internet sleuths had to be the ones to get it moving again.

      Probably a lot of "looks like him but not 100% sure" in identifying the man from the moving video... but now, they have plenty of evidence including a suspect. Justice will be served. The general public is grateful LE did their job... it wasn't easy, physically, mentally, emotional. Why are there always that ungrateful few, with no knowledge or experience in homicide or law, who are so quick to ONLY find fault... who will think they themselves or that LE could have done way better.

      So much more evidence? There is literally one piece of evidence outside of what Libby recorded. That is a unfired bullet. Not DNA. Not fingerprints. A bullet. That's a layup for the defense. He went to a shooting range and the bullet was ejected there and the killer came along snatched it and planted at the scene to throw police off. Then you got the Ron Logan search warrant affidavit that is chocked full of reasonable doubt. Then you got them in the middle of another huge mistake kind of their doing kind of not with the whole Kegan Kline debacle. They had the right idea not charging him until the Delphi case was solved but some new dipshit prosecutor came along and said "I don't care if I screw up the Delphi double murder investigation, I got an unemployed fatso pretending to be a rich good looking guy to get high schoolers to send him pictures of their tits" and went ahead charged him anyway. So the unemployed fatso and his lawyer know they illegally hacked into his devices and communications then went and got a search warrant so they have an excellent case of illegal search and seizure with Miranda rights violations (something that got serial rapist Cosby off the hook) sprinkled in here and there so they tell the dipshit prosecutor to take his plea deal and shove it up his ass. That forced ISP to release a statement to avoid an even bigger sh!t storm from being unleashed when the Delphi case is brought up in court out of nowhere. To this day you still have morons on the internet that believe Kline and his dad committed the murders. So there's some more reasonable doubt. This is far from a slam dunk as you seem to think. For what? It's not illegal to walk on a trail in America. You have to have probable cause for a search warrant. Being in close proximity to where a crime is committed doesn't count, wearing similar clothes and having a similar description doesn't count. Otherwise, there would be a lot of people subject to searches of their person and homes. What they could have done was had him unknowingly say the words on the video Libby took, and then had a forensic voice match to get the warrant. They could have obtained DNA from the crime scene, then in those five years done swabs of the men matching the man in the video when they discarded their cups, etc. in public. The PCA that was the probable cause to get the gun for the bullet match is shaky at best. They managed to convince a judge that a grey Ford Focus was similar to witness descriptions of a purple PT Cruiser and a smart car. Two female witnesses who were together on that day described the man they saw differently - one says the man had grey hair and a light blue jacket, and the other says he was in all black and had his face covered. They convinced the judge to sign off on those two descriptions as being matches to RA in the video. In America, we have the presumption of innocence until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law. RA admitted he was on the trail from the time prior to the murder, to a time after they were murdered. If he had lied, that would be incriminating. Laws exist to protect us from illegal search and seizure. Do you really want an America where suspicion of guilt leads to searches or arrests? If you do, you might want to be careful where you go, who you hang around with, who your family is, and how you appear to others. Also, don't own grey sedans because they are disproportionately owned by people who commit crimes due to their inconspicuous nature. Not saying all owners of grey sedans are criminals, just that a lot of criminals own grey sedans. So if suspicion is enough for searches, be prepared for a lot of them if you own one. Luckily for everyone, sufficient evidence needs to be found for a judge to sign off on a search warrant. If the search warrant leads to discovering incriminating evidence, only then is an arrest made when a crime is unwitnessed. Everyone wants justice, but it has to be done the right way, or it gets thrown out on a technicality. Personally, if I were the defense, I would be arguing fruit of the poisonous tree for the bullet because the PCA was flimsy as heck. It's like they want him to walk, or someone is doing a bad job of framing him. Everything about this case so far feels like theater. There is a CP ring involved. Allegedly. Don't let the three ring circus distract from that, or from Abby and Libby. Everyone involved should face justice.

    I am astounded by the amount of people I see calling the police incompetent. Saying, Allen said he was there, he even described the clothes he was wearing. Pointing out they had video from the girl's cell phone and it STILL took the police 5 years to figure out "who done it". They go on to say, he should have been arrested years ago.
    As someone who worked 911 dispatch, I was considered a part of law enforcement. So it's obvious to me now that many people have NO idea that often after a crime has been committed the police know exactly who the guilty party is but unless THEY KNOW they can show enough proof to a jury they will not arrest him. If they dont have enough evidence to ensure a conviction it is often better to wait and see if they can gather more over time. From the newly released "PC", I can tell you a guilty verdict will not come easily if this is all they have. For years folks said the cell phone video looked just like Ron Logan, even showing many side by side comparisons with Ron wearing the exact same clothes the next day when he did a television interview. Ron owns the land where the girls were found. He has since died. I'm not the brightest bulb but I can see this could be a slam dunk defense case. So many armchair detectives out there who are working this case from their beds, one hand resting on their balls, while the other thumbs through "Reddit" gathering up clues. Don't tell me otherwise because I'm on the force with you. Police officers deal with the lowest of lot when it comes to humanity and do it working 12 hour ,7-7 shifts. Missing Christmas mornings/Thanksgiving dinners/school plays etc. so they can go muck around in the crap none of us would dare want to deal with. My town is a college town of 100k people. Until I worked 911 I had no idea how many suicides we had every month because they don't get put in the news. I was on the phone more than a handful of times and had to listen to the sound of a gun being shoved down a throat and then the blasting off of a round. I was only LISTENING on the phone....the officers (you love to put down) have to go walk through all that. Car accidents here in Georgia, those are a real added "perk" of the job. People ejected through or embedded in a windshield along with their unrestrained toddler that ends up crumpled in the back seat with labored breathing, arms and legs in positions they were never designed to go in. Then there is the toddler that WAS strapped into a car seat but may have faired better if they had just been ejected from the car, instead of being in a seat that the seatbelts were improperly affixed to causing the seat to be partially ejected through a back window left tethered while the car rolled over them a few times. Women and children who had been abused were the worst. After I left seeking a job with sane hours ...I still had one last court case. That call started with a kid, 8 or 9 years old, hiding in a closet, naked, on a school night, calling 911 because his Moms boyfriend had gotten mad. Because this man didn't want to beat his own baby he took the infant from Moms arms and then according to the little guy that called me, tossed the baby "into the other room" then got busy beating his Mother with a kitchen chair until the chair broke on her but his rage wasn't finished. When call came through to me he was in middle of using just the leg of the chair to continue and beat her with it until she "wasn't moving" . Of course the boy was begging me to hurry because "I don't want my Momma to die" "I think she might be dead" I have to reassure him "hang tight honey they are on the way" encouraging him to be very quiet and not talk so much because I didnt want him to be heard making call. Poor little guy was praying to God outloud and I took over his prayers for him to keep him quiet and calm. I told him the police were almost there....his next sentence was " I don't have any pants on I'm embarrassed". He told the police when they got there that the boyfriend told him earlier in the evening if he "disrespected" him he was going to take a funnel and force a gallon of bleach down his throat. I have stories like this, lots of stories....I could go on all day. This was just a Wednesday night.
    So please all you armchair detectives. I know you think you would have had this case wrapped up in 48 hours but I know how much real work goes into policing.The saddest aspects and situations that human nature can provide, the paperwork, the hours, the courtroom, the mandatory trainings and practice sessions at the gun range, *The wife complaining that you are never home while worrying that something might happen to make it so you never can come home.
    Oh and then to read all of the "internet officers" out there signing in for duty from the bathroom command center. Surrounded by empty toilet paper cardboards that have been piling up for weeks. "Officer Smartypants McReddit" going to spend the day commenting on the horrible job the police did. According to him they really "dropped the ball" .

      'Firearms examiners suffer from what might be called “Sherlock Holmes Syndrome.” They claim they can “match” a cartridge case or bullet to a specific gun, and thus solve a case. I worked for 30 years in mainly civil litigation, and some preliminary criminal cases. I'm not taking up for the police, and I know there are a lot of questions why didn't they act sooner. The reason is, they only get one bite from this apple, and before they can file for an arrest warrant, the bar is extremely high that they have the legal right to get a warrant to test the gun, which leads to an arrest warrant. From here on out, every single step they take will be either approved or dismissed by the prosecutor so that the defendant can't come back after trial, or before, and file an appeal saying there was a mistake against the law which throws the gun out, and without the gun and its link to Allen, the case can't go forward. I know it's difficult, but be patient. Allow the law to guide this case from arrest, to a trial, and conviction. Sincere sympathy to the families and friends of these two young girls. Justice is coming. My own personal opinion is that he will negotiate life with no.parole as opposed to conviction and the death penalty. If there is someone else involved. He will have to give up that name and testify in open court.

      Well said. I’m trying to think like that. Also to me the officer that took his statement is really where the buck stops. How that LE officer saw that picture and description for 5 years and not think of that interview I’m just not sure.

    • @3rscrafting
      @3rscrafting Рік тому +3

      @chronicreader that is a fair statement. I live in Virginia, so I don't know anyone involved on either side, and this is absolute speculation on my part. I keep being drawn back to two things, which as a parent living there, I'd never let my kids out of the door alone. Again, I want to emphasize, this is pure conjecture on my part. It wasn't making sense to me, either. Not the length of time. As much as why did the FBI agent release info back in February. So this was right after his arrest, I looked for missing children, and in the state of Indiana, for 2022 ... this year .... there are 25 missing children ... TWENTY FIVE!!! I've been involved with cases that have a dark, dark element, and so I looked at who.is in the area. In the town of approximately 3,000 people, there is a church of Satan. And they aren't hiding in the shadows. They claim rights as freedom of religion, and there was a big upheaval because they had a street renamed church of Satan, or something like that. The public were not happy, but the sheriff put out a statement that they were within their constitutional rights. And he was not taking it down unless they broke the law. Statistically speaking, there is a good chance that people in the public view are members of that church. It is a worldwide. Global institution, like catholicism. There's a picture of Allen sitting on a bench in the children's play area of that park. While not claiming he's a Satanist, I think the evidence will prove he's a pedophile. And I'm going deep down this rabbit hole, I think he reached out to Libbie on some chat room, that a meeting was scheduled within the confines of the time to be there. She's expecting a hot teenager, and instead who turns up? Allen. I think she knew at that point game over. And I'm going even deeper, I think this was a planned ritual killing. The only thing regarding their bodies at the crime scene was that there was a lot of blood. I think they were both stabbed in the shape of a pentagram, or to the four directions. I don't remember whether they released any info about sexual assault. So, how does that lead us to Allen's arrest? Enter Klein. Klein was initially charged with just about every law regarding pedophilia, then suddenly, charges were dropped, others changed to misdemeanors, then the warrant served on Allen at his home. Where they were looking for specific items, I don't know if that was when the gun was recovered and sent away for forensic testing. When the lab came back positive, an arrest warrant was issued, and the SOB who is accused of the deaths of these two young girls, is a dumbass who thought he could hire a lawyer for 500 bucks, learned the real truth is closer to 25 k just to talk to a lawyer. That's when he writes to the judge whimpering that I throw myself on the mercy of the court to appoint an attorney, which wasn't necessary, just say I can't afford one, please appoint an attorney. How much mercy did he give those poor girls before brandishing a gun and ordering them down the hill. I also think whomever Allen was involved with has literally left him to his own devices, and he'd better remain silent.
      So, after all of that, the fact it took so long to name a suspect is moot. It can't be changed. Doesn't mean that it won't be an issue for the future, but right now, the trial is tentatively set for trial this spring. Unless they get a plea bargain, I don't think that date will stand. Also, the defense will request a change of venue, because I'm not sure he can get an independent jury in that jurisdiction. If the trial is moved, it could be months before a new date is set. If I were his lawyer. I'd negotiate a plea deal. Sorry this got so long. You made a very valid point, and one I think may be investigated further. I can't get past the FBI agent releasing the documents. He knows something. And, why is the FBI involved in a local case at all? Anything involving the internet is a federal case, and they usually work with local LE. Oh, sorry, I forgot this... the date is significant. They were found on Valentines day, two hearts. Creepy. On a nonmetallic opinion, I personally hope he rots in hell. Best, Patricia

    Extraction marks on a bullet are when it's loaded into a gun it leaves imprints on the front end of the bullet that are unique to each gun even without being fired. • @AndyCutright
      @AndyCutright Рік тому +5

      You can't tie a bullet to a gun when the bullet has been fired. There aren't going to be uniquely identifiable markings on any bullet that's been ejected from the chamber, or maybe even simply dropped before being loaded. Most hand guns use common caliber bullets. So no, you can't "forensically link" this bullet to his specific gun. The prosecutors can argue it's certainly odd a bullet found next to the victim matches the caliber of the suspects weapon, but that doesn't absolutely establish a relationship between the gun, the bullet, and the suspect.
      Circumstantial evidence can be significant, but that's all this is.

    He used his gun to control them, not kill them. They are probably killed with a knife which were found in his possession. Their clothes found in a creek, probably made them undress. He was nervous and sloppy, angry maybe, that's why he left evidence unintentionally. He was looking for victims in a broad daylight. He just couldn't help himself. He is quite possibly impotent that's why he was so angry, he couldn't sa them or he didn't have time, I guess. I hope they have more to have him convicted and lock him up forever.

Under a microscope it has marks on it that only the gun that ejected it will make. This is as good as his fingerprints. And shells are made out of brass which in the elements corrodes very fast. Forensics can tell if its been on the ground overnight or a week or longer. Considering he puts himself on that bridge himself and he has bg’s fat cheeks and none of the other persons of interest have the fat cheeks but him. I think they got the right guy.
