My character Spam is very inspired by Owl City music, and this song always gave me a very specific kind of vibe so I just wanted to try too illustrate it out!
VivziePop is an independent animator, graduated from SVA in NYC!
I am a huge fan of musicals, and animating colorful and unique characters! When I'm not animating, i'm working on a number of other art related projects including a webcomic entitled "Zoophobia" where most of my animated characters come from! I hope you enjoy my silly style of animation or art!

Believe this is supposed to be a character from Zoophobia. The goofy fox who sings "Monster Fighting Time" in the Bad Luck Jack short, based on his name being mentioned in the description, so maybe it's covered more in the comic.
I've heard that they may do more Zoophobia shorts in the future, but not a full series planned atm

The silhouettes that run across the screen actually tells us what happened to Spam’s dad. He was mauled to death by wolves and this is Spam mourning him. It’s a really cool detail.

Personally I think Viv is great in animating and creating characters.
In defense of cartoons, it’s America so the animation has always been.. how shall I say... rough. It’s not as smooth as anime. Also with cartoon series, they have tight deadlines and must get episodes out at certain days and times. When you’re animating by yourself, you can take all the time in the world to get it how you want it and perfect it

These early animations are kinda proof of Viv's mastery over expression in her animation.
1:02 I think that one flowy jump and little trot was one of the things that got me into animation. It's just so pleasing to look at and so smooth, I wanted to create things like that. Thank you Viv for being one of the first important steps in my dearest and most comforting hobby.

I feel awful saying this but only now I've seen and heard this amazing and beautiful animated song sung by Adam Young of Owl City. I was literally moved to tears while watching this beautifully made animation. I've been a huge fan of Owl City since he began writing music, and I have all his albums including the Deluxe version of Ocean Eyes.

i used to watch this a ton when i was younger. i was going through a hard time, and it seemed like the whole world was against me, persuing my dream of animating/art. i used to watch this and tell mayself "its worth it!"i was so in love with the animation. maybe i had too much of an attachment to this video, but honestly, i wouldnt be here, chasing my dream now, if i never came across this video. brings back memorys. im so glad ive been able to watch your videos for years and see you improve overtime. people always seem to surprise you when you least expect it. im proud of you vivzie. i hope your proud of yourself.

I watched this when I was first introduced to VivziePop and now that I rewatching this after watching every Helluva Boss up to date episodes, I can't help to kind of see Blitzø in this now. The lyrics just fit so well with him. Is this just me?
When I was way younger, about 10 or 11, I first heard this song on my older sisters playlist on my first plane ride. I didn’t even understand the lyrics but I felt really emotional and started to tear up

I know, right? He's a whole new fox...but I think either he moved on from the deaths of his parents, or he is just using the personality we see in the short to cover up his grief. I honestly am not sure which it is. Both animations are absolutely stunning, though.

4 years later and this song still gets me. I had to put my dog down in July of 2017, first time for me. Her name was Silhouette, I called her Silly. I came across this song a few months after she was gone and it just brought out all of this pain and emotion for me. Surprised it still tugs on the heartstrings all these years later. Beautiful fan made animation!

My dad passed away on the 12 of September
He was the only one who truly cared for me,
my other families, I'm not sure if they love me or not because they always act like they're just taking care of me for my dad,
all my friends doesn't rlly love me too, they ignored me when my dad died and only acknowledges me when they need me,
I remember the old days of me asking my dad to watch the stars together
it was magical but now, I'm so alone by myself
I always try to not show this dark side of me to my friends because i don't want to be portray as being weak so, I always go to school everyday with a bright smile and I make sure to make everyone laugh. Although my friends are fake friends, making them laugh numbs the pain.
At night, it's the opposite. As I watch the stars by myself without my dad accompanying me, i always feel so alone
So yeah that's my story, Thanks vivz for this animated short❤❤❤

This video did come out around the time Zoophobia was shelved. We never truly got to see more character for Spam other him licking Cameron and Vanexa. I'd be bummed too if that's all I ever did.

@@ttry1152 Not entirely her fans, but I see your point. Though, I'm not sure we will get another thing for ZP. For one, there wasn't nearly enough attention put into the short unlike her other stuff she's done. Some sloppy animation at some points, and sometimes the backgrounds felt more like backgrounds more than part of the setting in some scenes. Second of all, in the description it's only promoting Hazbin Merch and saying to watch out for more Helluva Boss. Did you notice that all of the Bad Luck Jack merch on Shark Robot have stopped being sold? Now there's just a page of her Die Young T-shirt (if that's still even on there). I'm on the fence if I should be hopeful that there will be more or if I should just face these facts.
Sorry about that dude. I watched James Dijit's fan dub on UA-cam as the first time seeing ZP, and fell in love with it. I then found out why it was shelved, and that most of the panels on the actual comic have been taken down. The only place you can really find the whole thing is James Dijit now. I'm grieving a little bit for joining the party late, even though most of it's over now.

@@26th_Primarch Basicallythe entire zoophobia adience, it is stated I believe that this is spam as all zoophobia characters were already created years ago, they can be seen in the speed draws from 4-5 years ago.

@@26th_Primarch Maybe he hasn’t and just hides it, or developed a mental disorder from it and forgot his depression. Considering how he acts in the short I wouldn’t be surprised if he had something along those lines.

I have depression and some days the only thing that makes me smile and feel happy is watching Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss. Something about Vivziepop’s older works speaks so much louder to me then the more recent works. Like I can more clearly feel a character’s emotions. My favorite part of her animations were how expressive they are.
Was never a big habzin hotel fan but I was really disappointed when I couldn’t find any expressive moments in the actual show (like I saw from the pilot)

WOAH i was just scrolling through old vivziepop stuff because why not, i did *not* expect an animation to a song that's so important to me from such a famous artist!!! i remember listening to silhouette (and Adam Young in general) back when i was, what, 14? and my mental health was at a pretty low point. it's such a bittersweet nostalgic song and this animation brings out that feeling even more, what a pleasant surprise finding this was
This animation is so smooth and beautiful. I love the switch in this: he becomes a shadow. I love how it looks. That entire shadow scene is brilliant. :)

Viziepop is different than all the other animators I have seen. Sure, lots of animators are very good at animating.. but your animations are STUNNING. When I see one of your characters, I immediately guess their personality and be right, but yet discover a whole new layer of personality in them. You add so much detail into your art work, that you could easily make other animators envy you. And the animations in general are so smooth! Everyone moves so swiftly across my screen! And your comic Zoophobia, is so unique with an amazing storyline, and likeable characters! I hope you see this Viziepop, because it's very rare for me to praise a animator like this ^^

I've watched this video about 10 times now and the more I watch it the sadder I feel and the more I know how it would be to be this character... because it reflects on my life a lot... I'm a person who is very happy around certain people but I always have this sadness knowing that some of my so called friends aren't actually my friends... something I've gotten used to feeling... and now I'm 16 and out of compulsory education and continuing on for A-Levels knowing that many of my friends would be in college or university doing what they want to do... never to be seen again face to face... *wipes away a tear* I know that I've just started rambling on about my life but I know that there are many people like me that are in the same position as me... not knowing what will happen next in their lives till it's too late.

This just shows the depth of Spam, like in Zoophobia hes so happy-go-lucky but this shows his other side, and proves he has emotions too. He isn't just some bubbly happy character, but he has heart and lives through pain as well.

Still brings a tinge of sadness but still nostalgic. I remember trying to erm, off myself, my freshman year of high school because of school work, pressure from my parents and going insane because lack of sleep. I’ve become better but there’s always that spot in my mind with ways to exit this world. This video kinda keeps my in check every once in a while.

I just watched the Zoophobia animation that came out, and something about Spam was so familiar to me. Then I rewatched this video and realized who he was! Brings back memories.
This is truly his saddest song, I listen to it almost a decade later and I still cry because it hit so true that no matter where you go in life, and no matter what happens, you only have yourself. You have to live with yourself and that's hell because we are not perfect
