You may wonder why this song of her is so quiet and calm unlike her other ones, and a bit long, as well. Because it’s a very kind of her face-off with life and herself in a philosophical style. She tells her ‘dance’ with the good and the bad one in life one by one, this is a metaphorical telling of her story about learning the real life. In this face-off with life, there is not “fresh” feelings related to anger, defeat, injustice, betrayal, love, enthusiasm or etc., because anymore no need, because the storyteller of the song seems to have learned and at last knows this life ‘dance’ with both the good and the bad. Therefore, (the feeling of) the song is so calm. Already, each song of Şebnem Ferah tells a story. In fact, she is at first a storyteller, then a composer, a musician, a singer, writer, performer, so on. She doesn’t allow any song to finish before the story completes itself. All those music, words, tones, rythym, sound and performing if on stage,etc. are for telling that story and all of them (sometimes even audiences) support how that story starts, goes on and finishes.

The man she danced with is just an audiance; she said this is a custom that they had been doing in their concert with this song. So she just chose a man and invited him to the stage. Actually there are only afew slow songs in this concert but you are satisfactory in finding them :D

hi there, she actually called up someone onto the stage, she says that in her every concert when she is singing this song she has to dance as in the chorus part she says she is in a dance floor, trying to take a chance with every”thing” on the floor.
You should really react to her "delgeç" performance from the same concert. I have no doubt you would enjoy the most among her songs because in that song she really pushed all of the limits of her voice. And yes I am 31 now and 13 years before, I was one of the luckiest person to see this concert in live within those crowd.

Let me share some information abt the concert DVD. The art director of this concert was Hakan Utangaç (rtm guitar of Pentagram - btw you should check Pentagram as well, if Şebnem is rock godess of Turkey, Pentagram is metal god - songs, Bir, Ölümlü, Şeytan Bunun Neresinde, etc). During Sil Baştan song, they had a small electricity cut, so it was Hakan's idea to fill it with screenshots. Şebnem's producer is Tarkan Gözübüyük (also bass player of Pentagram). And the lead Guitar Metin Turkcan (also in Pentagram) is one of the best guitar players. from this video how the drummer plays so clean. and how the keyboard leads the band at the back. Şebnem is a queen with a very good team and crowd supporting her all the time. Go Şebnem!

Dancing was Spontanious she has been doing this when they play this cuz in that moment song was mentioning dancefloor and dancing & exploring ying and yang at the same time basically she is picking one from the crowd :) i think i mean i guess i fell in love with your music dedication and how you embrace music i felt it same here

When I was at her concert, perdormed once in our university spring festivals (maybe 2008), she chose a lucky guy again to dance with. Unfortunately he was not me 😔
