Its funny you say that. I was going through a very dark period in my life where I didn't want to wake up in the morning. I had a bunch of vacation time saved up and decided to just take off. I had no plans, just a tent and some other camping equipment. I drove South from Chicago and ended up around Kentucky the first night. Woke up and drove a bit till I got the Smoky Mountains.I had arrived to a place I had not been looking for but somehow found me. I met the most incredible people who gave me a sense of the world not being as dark as I thought it to be. At the right moment the right people showed up to give me hope and I return each year to give thanks to a place which gave me peace, pause and an understanding we all want the same thing. Love is something which can't be bought, however, it's something we all need . many people are afraid of it....I know as I was one of those people. Its hard to open up yourself and give the most amazing gift someone could receive, as when we give it , it loses strength each and every time.....that's Why it's so hard to give it. When we are crushed by those who abuse it we tend to give a little less of it as to protect the one thing which means so much to us. In turn those we give it to sense the protective shell we hold on it.

Was at a program for veterans suffering from PTSD. A 90 day program. They asked us to pick a song and how it relates with our today’s troubles. I picked this song as, well the lyrics will tell ya. Good but a very isolating song if one’s been through too much.

oh wow. I think I found yet another reason to fall in love with South Carolina. (( I first heard LH 'Wait by the River' in a rest stop bathroom, midway 24 hour road trip from San Antonio to Virginia Beach, and a very friendly attendant with a big smile asked if it 'shined good'? yes....little miss, it shined good. you folks, life IS good...inspite of my personal life in a sudden hot crisis along with being immersed & drenched in our country's yelping & daily threats of hazard, doom and hate....it was a nice reprieve to be in that bathroom the other day, shining bright & clean, cared for by strangers for strangers, and then hearing this sweet oldie melody made new.....ahhhh...... :-)
Next time I eat some good mushrooms 🍄 I know what band I’ll be listening to! I have a good feeling it’s going to an out of body experience 😌 I recommend you do the same 👍
