Mounting furniture on the wall was a game changer. I saw it in one of your old videos and decided to mount my tv stand, my entryway console table and even my desk. It looks amazing now I have more space in the living room I even added a bench under the tv stand and another one under the entryway console table. I can also fully tuck my desk chair under the desk
LOVE my bar cart! It has a cabinet, a drawer, a display shelf and a butcher block top. I was even able to change out its handles so they match my kitchen cabinet handles!

Love these ideas! We bought our retirement home 2 years ago and it has been a challenge to find furniture and decorate only 1200 sq ft. I still don’t have anything on my walls-I think I’m scared of not doing it right and causing damage. 😂 Do you have an episode on correct mounting techniques for large heavy artwork and shelves? I have floor to ceiling windows in my dining and LR area so I finally hung my curtains high- and used a mix of cafe lace style curtains with a heavier light colored, patterned linen over top. It gives me different options. It made such a difference! I really love the look and functionality of that. Thanks for saying you can use heavier furniture pieces. I just bought a 6 foot Buffett for my small DR to use as a coffee bar- I Love it! I think a mirror and shelves for decor above it are needed. Just scared to put holes in my wall. 😆 I love watching your videos- so upbeat and personable. 💗

I’d love for you to come and transform some spaces in the UK! Our houses are tiny (especially newer builds) in comparison to American ones, my living room is smaller than most of those featured in this video and my house isn’t considered small here 😅

EVERY SECOND of this video is what I've been craving. I can't define the look. It's Parisienne, it's Northern California, Yosemite. This all looks new + inspiring to me! I'd almost lost hope; thank you, Kristen McGowan! You are very special.
...I prefer upholstery Velvet and Chenille, because ...they are soft , inviting and Chenille wears like iron, especially on high usage pieces of furniture. Mounting a TV is not possible with every layout, it depends on how much wall space one has available... For example I have one long wall that I could use for artwork and a mirror and things like that.... I'm not going to waste that by mounting my t v on it and then have that be distracting to all the artwork ..No. That is a pet peeve of mine when I see a mounted Television and it's surrounded by all this nice artwork , and the artwork is just lost because you're looking at this big black thing. Ugggh. Some rooms don't give much of an option for layout of furniture, etc. I realise these are suggestions, but ultimately...it comes down to having make choices that work for how one lives and how the room needs to function.
@availanila I do know that ...I was referring to when it's on and being used, as well ...I suppose I should have included that . I do know there are " picture Tvs " .. but if one doesn't have that... it's still the same issue. Thank you for your reply..

Hi Kristen, I really like your ideas of home make over. Thank you very much for your advice. I have rented a studio so it is one bedroom with bathroom and city kitchen. There is one big window. So it is everything in one room, as bedroom, living room, corridor, laundry room, kitchen, and woodrow in one 25m2 room. I am creative and have organised my studio by IKEA furniture and storages etc, but it looks small and mess. I would like to do a change there. My bathroom is small, there is a shower , but this place look very good than my room. I will be very grateful for your ideas, and I think there are plenty people like me. I think it will be a big challenge to make over a small apartment like that With plenty positive energy 🌹🍀🥰

I thought the same thing. Was hoping the liquid ran through the ice, but it sits on top. And doesn’t even touch. Lol. I do like a nice looking beverage container though.
I really like your videos, however I think we have a different definition of small spaces. Perhaps since I'm from Europe :) Here a lot of older homes have really low ceilings and small windows. Would be great if you made a video on that sometime too :)
Kristen help me. My bedroom is super tiny bit it has a big window and I line it up and it looked so good until I realized that my window is not centered so should I line my be up with the window or center my bed????? Helppppp
Can u do a child's room? Its so hard to avoid all the design cliches. I have a 3 yr old and I dont want a typical room. Same chairs, art etc. I want a well designed functional space that can grow with him.
I learned somethinh when I was buying a house. A room with no door closet it is not considered a room. I know is crazy ,but if you want to sell your house the you need the closets be closets. Otherwise the price will go down.

#1 is iffy, depending on your style can do a barn door and even do a modern style barn door. Barn door is just the style of door movement.
