  • The Lednice-Valtice Cultural Landscape spreads on the territory of a mighty 12th century border castle. Today it is the home of a romantic castle, a picturesque village and extensive gardens. Between the 17th and 20th centuries, the ruling Dukes of Liechtenstein transformed their domains into one huge park, where the baroque and neo-Gothic architecture of their castles embraced smaller pavilions and a landscape that was designed in an English style.
Inscribed as a UNESCO site in 1996, at 200 km2 , it is one of the largest artificial landscapes in Europe.
