I flew SG business class round trip LAX to SINGAPORE a couple of years ago. I’d always heard positive comments regarding SG’s service and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The seat space was incredible, food was outstanding and service unmatched by any airline I’d previously flown. I had preordered Chilean seabass for a main course and was having second thoughts. It was as mouth-wateringly delicious as any I’ve had in a restaurant. Can’t wait to fly SG again.
The luxury expert. I am amazed again by your videos that I watch regularly. They calm me so much especially before bed. I personally love travelling, but don’t travel often so I always love when you upload these.
Another great flight..lucky you had the "old business class"as I have a lot of friends who don't like the NEW Business class on the 380...have flown this class and reckon the seats were the best I have ever flown in ! The vibration on take-off is the transfer of the weight of the aircraft from the wheels to the wings....on landing "reverse thrust" is actually transferring the weight from the wings to the landing gear. The thrust isn't actually reversing....as in a car...the air flow is re-directed from the rear of the engine onto the ground. Without a doubt its no wonder SQ win so many awards for their food...service from the crew and reliability. Have never had a bad flight with them.Well done as always!
Hello, I haven't watched in awhile, sorry..I just grabbed a beer, some snacks and I'm going to binge watch on this crazy fridig night....Love your channel, as always...
That bit of flutter on takeoff was caused by residual wake turbulence from the proceeding departure, probably another Super Heavy or Heavy, Believe me that wing can take one hell of a lot more. Now show me Menus, lol
Exactly. The air closer to the ground is just not as stable as it is at flight level (usually). You also get more vortices coming off the wing of the plane itself at rotation and shortly thereafter as those wings are creating the lift, causing some vibration as well.
Mixture of turbulence and gravity as a result the plane shakes. Loving the videos as always, tonic water or soda water are good for a nervous tummy, I was given it once on a flight after feeling ill and it helps
Once again a first class trip report, I absolutely love planes and find them fascinating but have a great fear of the unknown when it comes to flying. I love your videos. I really enjoy going through the duty free section then first and business lounges and food offerings at airports. Tells me what to expect on my next travel. Not sure if you've done a tour of Melbourne airport and lounges there for Emirates or Singapore airlines but would love to see those. Fantastic video as always. Keep up the good work!
The shaking is a known occurrence with the A380. It happens with most of them. Rattling sounds are also common with the A380 during takeoff just like we heard in this video.
I also suffer from fear of flying. Please don't worry as First & Business Class never crash... all the Champagne on board cushions the impact and allows you bounce away unscathed. But SERIOUSLY... after 300+ flights to this day I too am still a nervous flyer. Brave of you to admit the same and hopefully you can convert that fear into nervous-excitement. Thank you for your wonderful & inspiring videos. Happy & Safe Travels :)

I love your reviews, particularly the long single sequences. Keep up the great work, it’s amazing that you have a phobia and still travel the world. :)
Great review as always. I am not afraid of flying, but I am about to "die on my self" with the slightest turbulence. A workaround is to book a window seat so I can distract my self with the view if possible. Have done that the last 40 years now, and it works for me to reduce most of the acute anxiety when turbulence occur.
A fear of flying. Mate, you show exceptional control. I hope this doesn't sound patronising, but I have to say, well done. Also , I continue to enjoy the quality of both the audio and video editing that you provide in these videos. Thanks for sharing your adventures, and happy new year.

That was a great view of London coming flying over London Central....I miss the 747-400s as we would fly them to London from Chicago here. The spoilers would come up ever so softly...I have flown on more 777-300s to London than 747-400s. But the 747-400s have the winglets at the end of the wing and I love look at them fly...Thanks again...
You might find this paradox interesting to understand your phobia. There are three distinct types of acrophobia. One is fear of height it self. Second is fear of falling which is always accompanied by vertigo...and the worse part of that is your mind will always cause you to fall in the most dangerous direction. Third is fear of flying due to fear of mechanical failure or, well, to use the word, crash. some people have one two or all three or only one. I have the second, I cant get on a step ladder and panic driving mountain roads and such. Irrational fear and vertigo. Yet I have been a Pilot since age 14 and later a USAF Fighter Pilot. Flown at least a million miles as PAX and never had a bit of worry unless they undercatered the liquor cart :) You have the third and the most irrational. Modern Air Transportation is by far the safest means of transportation known to man. Getting to the airport is far more dangerous than the longest flight. So I hope this helps you. Relax and don't worry especially about overwater flights. Not long ago i would not do it in a twin engine aircraft but engines are so good these that I don't give ETOPS a second thought. Neither should you.
I don't think he actually has a fear of flying - it's an attention seeking affectation to boost endearment with the audience. Poor me I travel so much but I'm crippled with fear of whatever.
I once read that the feeling of fear and excitement are almost identical, so it's possible your pre-flight anxiety is actually excitement that is being misinterpreted.... just a thought :) Thank you for the awesome vlog.
I have no fear of flying, it’s crashing that scares me. Have used this business class lounge a few times and would love to eat there except too much food is bad for flying especially when they also feed you ‘book the cook’ on the flight as well , i stick to fruit platters , but it all looks very yummy.
Wow this video brought memroy back. Also three year ago I flew to Sydney on the same product. Indeed the bed wasn't comfy with the awkward smaller legroom. I was hoping for the newer seats so the center divider would lower to join two beds for my wife and daughter. Due to pandemic it's a time race between A380 retirement and the lift of quarantine
Many thanks for this. Last year we flew business from Frankfurt on the 777 with the new product and back on the A380 on the old. My girlfriend actually preferred the A380 as we had the bulkhead seats but I found the flatscreen and a few other features a bit dated. Still nice though! This year we will be using the A350 plus also the B787 to Bali. Looking forward to trying these out.
Your fear of flying, given your very professional and wonderful videos on travel, would be comparable to a surgeon having a fear of blood. Almost impossible to understand, not to mention, even believe. But I admire your willingness to reveal it. Even though you never had to do so. P.S. Your "discrete and anonymous" life style is nothing to apologize for. You have no idea how many of your followers only follow you for that reason alone.
I like your discreet and anonymous lifestyle. There is no need to apologise. I need and desire this immersive experience. I like Lufthansa airlines the most. :) I am also a nervous flyer. I used to grip the seats and shut my eyes during turbulence. :(

One more time thanks for this video !!!
incredible and informative without the chitchat!
Thanks for another great report! I find all the info about the plane (how old etc) very interesting. Where do you find it out from?
I really can't wait till next Saturday!
you are perfect Vlogger. dont worry i respect your decision.
thx
I once read that the feeling of fear and excitement are almost identical, so it's possible your pre-flight anxiety is actually excitement that is being misinterpreted.... just a thought :)
Thank you for the awesome vlog.
Excellent presentation. Thank you
I have no fear of flying, it’s crashing that scares me. Have used this business class lounge a few times and would love to eat there except too much food is bad for flying especially when they also feed you ‘book the cook’ on the flight as well , i stick to fruit platters , but it all looks very yummy.
Wow quite a bumpy takeoff
Really enjoying travel
Fear of flying? How endearing for a world traveler :)
That's the purpose. I don't think for one second he actually has a fear of flying - it's a pure affectation
Great job👍 very relaxing watching. As if we were there...thanks a lot
Back to using some of the old music - Excellent!!
Thanks for the video. I must admit that the Economy Department also looks great ...
Enjoy your Bali trip!
Love your videos simply informative and always interesting thank you safe travels
May I know what device you normally use to film your experience? The visual is so stable and still ! Making it a delight to watch your videos😍
Love the way u explain about your experience
