I have been waiting forever for this review and you guys didn't disappoint. It has been my favorite Rye to date! I paid $90-99 for all three of mine and didn't think twice about doing it! Also, thanks for saving me the $200 on KO Batch 3... ;)
Man I can't agree with you guys more, it's an absolutely fantastic pour and one I absolutely LOVE. Just did a review of this myself that I'll be releasing soon. Great timing. Cheers and keep killing it guys!
I love that easy paced rollicking short musical intro. I managed to get a bottle of this and it's amazing, one of my Whiskies of 2019. Cheers Dan and Sean
Totally agree that this is an amazing pour. Some of my favorite high proof ryes have been Knob and this competes for sure. I have only tried it once at a bar though and I’ve owned the Knobs...so I’d like to have them side by side.
Great review! I just found a bottle at a shop I never go to for $79 that I can't wait to crack open. The store also had bottles selling for regular retail price of Barterhouse 20, Rhetoric 25 and WT MK Decades--clearly I couldn't pass picking those up, too (I haven't tried any of them before).
I have a 2016 bottle as well and it's getting low. Definitely in my top 7, I may like the Toasted Barrel a hair more. Have a 2019 Michter's 10 Rye and a Barrell Rye 13 year cask strength that still need to be opened..
peter white I’d like to hear the winner of Michters 10yr rye and Barrell 13yr rye! I also have an unopened Barrell 13yr rye, never had the Michters 10yr rye or 10yr Bourbon. Cheers!🥃
@@pressman1788 I think they will be night and day apart. The Barrell Rye 13 year will be close to the Hochstaders 16 year or the Lock Stock & Barrel Rye's as they are all ADL juice and 100% Rye. The aged ADL stuff is some of the best Whiskey I have ever had.
Bourbon Junkies Yes two. I called one and had them hold it for me. Then I found it locally purchased it from my local store. I then drove 25 miles to get the other. Felt bad for asking them to pull it . I like it better the longer it sits.
when dan picks the michters over a mid winter's night dram in a blind taste test, you might see him over in the corner rocking himself kinda a like a kid who found out there is no santa.

My favorite rye. Period! You guys nailed the tasting notes. It's so good.
Thank you sir!

Finally, so far my favorite bottle that I've bought this year and at retail for $79!
Hard to beat that!
Just got a 2022 bottle. Can’t wait to crack it.
Had this in a bar two weekends ago for $9 for a 1.5 oz. pour. It’s so damn good.
Yeaaaa let me get a double of that.
My wife would definitely had to drive me home if I found that at 9 dollars a pour for sure
Would love to see Michters Barrel Strength/Toasted blind vs Midwinters, Cornerstone, KO, and Willett. I know where my moneys going.
I would add in the Rendezvous Rye Barrel Select, Hungarian Cask finish :)
I know KO willett and cornerstone shouldn’t be in that blind tastinf
I have a couple of bottles i haven't opened but after this review bring on the Michters this weekend !!
Heck yeah, cheers!

Barterhouse is probably one of our favorites of all time!
It was $99.99 plus $20. In taxes here in Washington. Very limited distribution. Great review.
Where in WA did you find it? I've been looking
Damn Michters is a good pour
I lucked into a bottle of this in Ohio for $70 including tax about a month ago! Saving it for a special occasion.
Well all I'll recommend is to once a week turn that bottle upside down. Those corks get soft so fast, and it will explode if you don't.

We can come help you open those. 😅
@@BourbonJunkies Sure, mule me a Mayor Pingree and it's party time :)

I’m was back in May at Total Wine in Tukwilla. I had to call around and had to ask for them to hold it for me.
Well did you get it?

The 2021 barrel I have smells just like a Handy but drinks mich softer (106 proof) delicious!
Time for a barrel strength rye blindstream
That sounds like fun

It would happen too!
You guys need to mention is these are your first pours of the day before reviewing bourbons just to put the review into context
Fantastic long pour Dan
10 year rye, ya like that's gonna happen, hardest bottle to find in Michters line-up.
A boy can dream!
Grabbed two at the store plus a 10 year bourbon all at the same time. Couldn’t pass it up.
I have 2 bottles yet to open one, soon though. Cheers
It's too good to not open and drink, cheers!
You said the magic turn me off note ! Minty lol I'm out on that
pure excitement!
I could see because of flavor memories that mint would lead your brain to a false chocolate
Why do y’all have so much high West. Need some reviews and blind tasting
