Mercedes GLE ECU FBS4 Exchange using AVDI

Hello Friends,
Today I am going to show you a fast and easy procedure for personalization of a second-hand ECU in a Mercedes GLE 63. All is done by OBDII in a matter of minutes using the new Abrites DAS Manager for cars, the MN032 license. This vehicle is equipped with a FBS4 Engine Control Unit, which I will show you how to reset to virgin, then personalise. The procedure is the same as personalizing an EIS/EZS with FBS4 keys to any Engine Control Unit.
What you need is an AVDI, CB100 or CB106 OBDII cable, CB104 USB cable, you know how to connect all of it, nothing new to this part. After that, you need to save the FBS data, before exchanging the ECU. When you replace it, you need to restore the FBS data to the replacement ECU and write in the original VIN to it. Et voila! It is all done.
IMPORTANT: Keep a stable power supply to the vehicle, the procedure may be short, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Not Working! vito w447 edc17c66. With the original ecu the vito starts but you have to connect the starter relay directly.
I make virgin and personalized an used ecu with the same reference but I still have when i click on info with abrites "ECU still NOT activated" and Engine start NOT allowed". And the function to change the VIN does not work, it puts "id error!".
I tried with a 2nd ecu, same problem.
I've been waiting for this feature for 8 years but it's too good to be true

What about when you don’t have original fbs data ie dead ecu situation?
When you virgin can you programme on dealer network as new or not ?

@@twinturbo1989 I am patient. But why can't you personalize without the original ECU? Why can't you use FBS data from VGS or ISM for personalization? I have done it a bunch of times with the DAS manager.

@@55kompressor You might have done it a bunch of times with DAS3 components.......... This is DAS4. So relax and wait. They are working on it.
