    is it safe? I mean if the lamp gets hotter is it safe? what is the lifespan of the LED lamp? it can be replaced or not? sorry just so curious about this beautiful creation. thanks.

    • @sengasengana
      @sengasengana 3 роки тому +1

      LED lamps don't really heat up. Last winter I made Christmas gnomes out of conifer branches and moss, so really flammable material. I wrapped the hats with fairy lights. The lights burned from dusk until I went to bed, sometimes I forgot to turn them off and they burned until morning. No danger - they don't even get really warm.
      I hope that helps. :)

    Such a great work... and an amazing talent !
    I'm curious because epoxy seems quite expensive, what's the epoxy's total cost for one of these lamps ? I know that people doing huge tables with epoxy can spend thousands of dollars but for little projects like this, what can we expect ?
    Thanks a lot, I'm litteraly hypnotized by your channel !
    Much love !

    • @mbresinart

      hello it depends on the size of the lamp

    • @DrunkBreton

      @@mbresinart hey, thanks a lot for the answer but I was asking this because I don't know which epoxy format for small project like your small lamps on this video

    • @sengasengana
      @sengasengana 3 роки тому +2

      @@DrunkBreton I' m afraid you won't have any other choice than calculating how much resin you'll approximately need for a given project. And then you'll have to calculate how much the required amount of the resin you want to use will cost.
      There's no other way to really answer your question, because we don't know what kind of lamp you want to make, how big you want it to be, what resin you're going to use, etc.
      Depending on where you live, I can highly recommend the German company Dipon. They offer several high end resin systems at a really fair price. They ship to all Europe and Russia. They also have a resin calculator on their site.

    • @DrunkBreton
      @DrunkBreton 3 роки тому

      @@sengasengana Thanks a lot for the answer mate! I'll go for Dipon so!
      Thanks for the time you spent!

      @@DrunkBreton You're welcome. :)
      For lamps like the ones in this video, I would recommend Epoxyplast 3D. It comes with four different hardeners, depending on the intended use. B50 can be cast up to 5 cm depth, B100 even up to 10 cm.

    What compounds are you using, i.e., cutting compound, gloss compound? Also I am guessing that GlassCast is self degassing? The one thing I have issues with is deep pours with resin that says will degas... but doesn't!

    • @superclaymaster
      @superclaymaster 3 роки тому

      Are you heating up the pours after. Looks like most makers either torch thin pours or vacuum batches before pouring. I’m a newbie so just guessing.

    • @mbresinart

      Long life LED's typically have a lifespan of 50000 hours.This would imply 11.4 years if operated for 12 hours a day, 22.8 years for 6 hours a day.
