I've tried running this cave 2x so far. Where you first ran into a meg, I keep running into an alpha meg, about 20-30 regular megs, and this latest time, a mosa. 😅 I wish it was as easy as you had it! 🤣

Excellent video! Got the artifact without an issue, however I’ve tried to farm this cave for loot crates and only ever seen 1 red crate and that was the first time I entered the cave. I haven’t seen a loot crate since then.

Did you use a normal saddle or an ascended saddle or something? Cus that is a world of difference, if you have a normal saddle you only have 25 armour and the enemy's do like 25 damage per hit but if you have an ascended saddle the enemy's will do like 3/8 damage per hit making you be able to tank a lot more
As people stated below, there seems to have been an update for online where that room has so far 2 alpha megs at 130+ a mosa and about 60 sharks all boosted, pulling out 3-5 at a time with my 217 Basil with 200k+ hp and 1k melee. I actually lost a similar stat basil to that corner prior to not knowing. If you made a new video it would do well as there arent many good videos for this cave.
@@iriebuddha basils to valuable when they get up over 230, use megs, cheaper and easier to use as expendables. Ten did the job for me but they were all 200+ with Like 60k min hp and 1k melee
Did the devs change something since you and others posted these videos ? Every time I get to the sections past the open air section there is about 150x Level 250 megladons and mosas.
I had that happen to me too I am playing on a unofficial server, when I went there the first open area had like 50 sharks pack boosted alpha boosted lvl 300, WTF
hi . i’ve watched quite a few of your clips and i find them entertaining . i don’t know if you do this but the first thing i do when i get into the water after equipping scuba is turn fog off . it’s a massive difference .
There must be something wrong with my server. I swam in on an ichy and, without exaggerating, I saw 300-400 megladon. The fans on my pc hit Mach 2 as soon as I went in that cave. I’m convinced it’s not possible. Anyone else having this issue?
Yea wildcard has to fix the overspawning. My server host had to spam Dino gateways and foundations all over to keep the spawns to minimum. So you don’t have 500 sharks and 50 alphas 😂
i wish mine looked like that i got about 150-200 sharks in the first section and roughly the same maybe more in the second alot are lvl200+ and a hand full of alphas plus about a hundred eels havent been able to get it yet and have lost quite a few tames
@Storminit ya, we put in a ticket.. got shrugged off with "its supposedto be hard" .. we have the 50/50 bug and there's some thoughts that they are related.. have to admin delete at 50/50 and wipe all daily to keep it sane... tis ark though.. expect nothing less I guess🤷♂️
Yo saw this and then did it , was batting them to the narrow area and killing them but then after killing a large group went back to bait more 20 eels got to me I stunned them with the bary but I was stuck on them and also low health because they were all pack boosted to and the megs killed me
I tried doing the cave with a tuso, 50k health and 900 melee with a 70 armor saddle and even after the first encouter with enemy's it lost 1/3 of his hp because the eels go to the head of the tuso so you cant hit them with the tenticals, meaning you have to individually grab them, let them go and then attack, which takes a damn age and I was like: f**k I prob gonna have to tame a basi now. And yup apparently thats the way to go (which is also good cus I couldnt find an ascended tuso saddle for like a week straight and I already have ascended basilo saddles)
Yeah problem is even with a Basi it is difficult if you get a load of creatures spawning. I've been trying to find a good solution but haven't found anything solid yet.
Yesterday bwe lost 24 megs with asend sadles and 2 basil....we got reked ward on first room..theee must be atnlist 100-150 mobs...with 3-4 alphas.....we only miss this artifact.....

That looked very easy. Don't know what's going on, but whenever I go to that cave, there's around 2 high lvl Mosas, 50 Megs all Mate and pack boosted, levels between 200 and 290 waiting for me and I barely make it with a bred and imprinted Basi, with 56k health, 800 melee and an ascended saddle. And only because I separate them from the pack. Why is it so easy for everybody else?
Should the Basilosaurus be a high level? I found a level 20 I can tame right away, and I want to get this cave out of the way, I was looking for a high level but I can’t find another one
Hey I know it’s been a while, I took a break from ark cause I got a few new games but I’m back, I just tamed a 135 basi and it turned out to be 202 after taming with kibble. I’m heading into the cave now with a decent saddle, wish me luck!
Yeah seems everyone is having a problem with creatures over spawning in that area, wildcard need to fix it because its making the cave nearly impossible solo.
Ok so I am not crazy, the cave was easier before, I too just died twice running into 100+ sharks, even alphas, tried to run the first time, no luck, tried to lure a few the 2nd time and they all came, even had a friend with both times, on S-Basil with 50-60K HP and 500-600M with mate buff but we were demolished in seconds, still thanks for the video keep up the great work
For me the cave is as easy as you had it. Maybe 4-5 megs, about 20 eels nothing more. But strangely I dont get any lootdrops at all. Not a single one in 5 attempts. I was hopping to get a decent rex saddle in this cave.
i just lost 10 and another 10 basilos they had 50k to 70k health and decent saddles, not sure what changed but its insane down there... worst part its that every time i return to try again it gets worse...
Basils have a huge nerf compared to ASE. Had a 95% imprinted with stats and a saddle on official I would have soled the hard water cave on ASE... got absolutely shredded. It just seems like I am not hitting anything with the ASA basils.
I tested it on ascended to see if it changed from ASE because the descriptions the same on fur, it says it keeps your temperature up so long as it stays dry. However rain doesn’t effect it. It’s only if you go underwater, it’ll negate the furs cold resistance. Scuba gear in turn also doesn’t give cold resistance while on land. Just wanted to clarify a little to any that didn’t know 😁

On the server I am on there is about 100 level 250 Megs, alpha megs and Mosas blocking the backroom artifact location all getting the pack buff each doing 500 dmg per hit against 2 players with maxed imprinted and mutated Basilos with ascendent saddles and cant even get past them.
A had there 90lvl alpha meg, about 30 other megs and 260lvl mosa. My basilo with significantly better stats and 124 armor saddle was dead in 10 seconds 😂
after that narrow path to the big opem area there were like 30 to 40 megaladons there is that normal i had a 40k hp basilo but the megaladons were boosted by one another thet completely rekt me

Just tried a while ago with 6 megalodons, 2 Basilos (one 40k HP and ascendant saddle, the other 20k HP) and 3 other tribemates on our private server.. and yeah.. got destroyed in that first room. Used the console commands to fly in and look, and there were an unbelievable amount of megs in there. They were just wild tames, so nothing special, but it seemed a little extreme. Glad to know I'm not the only one wondering if this cave is right..
@@Voxphyle I used a plesisaur platform saddle to hatch a giga in there, baited a shit tone in that narrow opening where I had the giga killed them but still that 8 pack boost makes them take barely any dmg, but giga having a big ass mouth I was hitting alot of them, then when I tried to bait more in, but 50 eels got to me I stunned them but I was trapped and died, u can also use a ghilee suit to bypass that area but the one with the artifact is not deep enough and they agro on u that room is also full of sharks
My problem with Wildcards level design is their meandering caves. You get lost so easy and some caves the artifact is right near the entrance but you can pass it and go on for miles deeper into the cave… why? Why make it so hard to find these things as creatures by the hundreds respawn. I think they need to work on their creature spawning and their cave level design. Also trees. Half the time I’m on a Dino and am just crashing through treees unable to see anything. Especially on the Island.
Overspawns I guess. My cave had the same deal. Marched a 15 pack of megs and 2 basilos to there death when I turned that corner lmao. All with decent saddles. Sharks had 20k hp a piece and basilos had almost 60k. This is supposed to be the easiest of the 2 water caves also keep in mind 😂

Ive been working on this cave for ages. Its not this easy now. Its almost impossible solo, theres not a single water tame that can get past them. And taking a few following u will just render useless as they get stuck. Without a minimum of 6 fully imprinted basi with a rider on each you have no chance
@chrism8273 I've managed to solo it now. But it took me over 2 hours to clear out the entire cave. Took a fully imprinted basi filled with veg cakes. Basically pulled them all back from the main cave and took them out in smaller groups.

Pretty much just get to the location he’s at on the map and follow the cliff down and to the right and you’ll run right into the cave entrance

According to ark it's a spawning bug just ran it on our server there was over 150 sharks

I tend to do this one with my bary. The land areas are nice for taking a break between fights.

It's so dumb, I am currently trying a few different methods but doing it solo is still pretty much impossible.
@@Storminit one of our guys did find a reasonable fix by adjusting spawn rates of the zone that Controls the cave in the ini
First spawn of this cave is usually a nightmare of overloaded enemies, it will be better after first clear.
We went in with 2 Tus squids. They fit all the way to the back, also immune to jellyfish.
Yeah I bet tusos are good. I hate to admit that I've never actually used one

There are xiomi fish in the cave. It's much more dangerous now.? Do you think basilo with 60k health and 587 damage can handle this cave alone?

We’ve taken over 150 tames in this cave with an average of 35k health and gotten wiped in the first room 4 times

Will a pack of like 10-15 good sarcos work, or will they just get stun locked. I can’t find any good basis. I’m also still on evolved btw
It may work as long as you focus the eels and jellyfish first. I'd probably whistle the sarcos to attack them while you stay back.

The best place to find black pearls is killing the tuso you ran away from.

Ive been working on this cave for ages. Its not this easy now.
Its almost impossible solo, theres not a single water tame that can get past them. And taking a few following u will just render useless as they get stuck.
Without a minimum of 6 fully imprinted basi with a rider on each you have no chance
Yeah the cave is completely different now, I need to make another version as this one is outdated
Did it solo on official not even a good imprinted basi 79 saddle just tak it slow and heal when you can
@chrism8273 I've managed to solo it now. But it took me over 2 hours to clear out the entire cave. Took a fully imprinted basi filled with veg cakes. Basically pulled them all back from the main cave and took them out in smaller groups.

@@Storminit Video next to this is a 3 minute video that literally b lines from the start of the entrance to the artifact, you added 7 minutes of filler to get to 10 min for youtube money.. i get it, but god use time stamps..
