- 12 Sqn Typhoon And FAF Rafale on the 8th Nov in really dark conditions which was a great shame! but really nice to see.

The noise the Rafale makes is magnificent!
The nose of the Marine version is even better....
It's literally the exact same as the typhoon
@@garryiglesias4074 I don't understand what you find best in the M version????? the C, B and M versions are almost identical, only the landing gear is reinforced on the M version! but the 3 Rafales have exactly the same characteristics!!

I give the Rafale in first place because in 2009, the French Rafales met the Eurofighters 18 times, results = 16 to 2 for the Rafales! and the evaluation tests between the Gripen, the Eurofighter and the Rafale, the Rafale finished first, the Eurofighter second and far behind the Gripen!! The Rafale F4 is the first aircraft in the world to have artificial intelligence, the Rafale F5 will be the first aircraft in the world to have 2 artificial intelligences and a radar capable of detecting all types of aircraft, at long ranges as well as very small drones!!!!

Actually I think the weather and poor light improved the video. We can see good photography in good weather any day but to get images like that in weather like that is a real eye-opener.
I do like this time of year and the challenges it brings!

@@Dafmeister1978 We live north of the Berwyns - where the weather is no better - just a bit colder. Chinooks, Hercs (rip), Merlins, Texans and the daily Belugas but, sadly, no fast jets.

@biilybob5507. … the Eurofighter has significantly better performance with much greater combat radious and speed. I prefer the appearance of the Rafaele but that’s a cosmetic matter. As for performance in war games it’s about more than just the aircraft themselves. Check out Operation Skyshield, then you can tell me how superior was the Avro Vulcan when compared to the B47 and B52.

I didn't like it when France left the programme that led to the Typhoon, but I sure love the Rafale! And even more so, when it powers through the Mach Loop! 😀
The concept was different. A fighter jet of air supremacy or a multiple purpose aircraft. France has chosen an aircraft for all missions. It's cheaper to maintain.
@@ShrekLorrain How so? Last time I checked, the Eurofighter Typhoon was a multirole fighter, not an air superiority fighter like the F-15 or the F-22.
I didn't see yet a Typhoon take off from an aircraft carrier. And it was the main reason why France left this programme. I had read it in the press. I don't know other reason. Perhaps a threat of loss and theft of French technology aeronautics without a real counter party... @@LEJapproach

Typhoon was designed as air superiority first and after for ground attack when the rafale was designed from the beginning for air superiority and ground attack, and cas, and operated from carriers... and the best thing is it is able to do all of this during the same mission if required.

#3 - If you design something with a primary and a secondary mission profile in mind, it'll be really good in its primary role and a little less good in the secondary one. If you do it with two mission profiles in mind, it'll do neither of them really good, let alone when it's about three! So, how exactly is the latter better than the former?

The A400M is a beast off a plane! It should have more orders and Airbus should update the Engines and a 3 to 4 meters increase in the wing span and a 10 to 15% increase in power output, but is the best multirole cargo plane in the world in speed,range, capabilities on rough landing, amazing design of engines and great engineering, congratulations EADS! You got a winner just need more publicity unfortunaly, because the Airplane is Top

What happened?
I can only think the camcorder was recording when it was on the ground, I picked it up and pressed the record button again, but I must have switched it off and didn't notice, a dumb move on my behalf.
