Bandish Hub is an initiative by us, Flute Sister's - Suchismita and Debopriya Chatterjee to create, present and conserve the music legacy of our musicologist father Shri Robin Chatterjee, who is also a well renowned ‘vaggeykar’, one who can write lyrics as well as set them to tune. He has written many compositions or ‘Bandish’ which have been published in the book series called ‘Sur Vani’ and ‘Sur Pravin’. He has been conferred with 'Sangeet Natak Akademi Sanman' for writing more than thousand ‘Bandishes’.
Born in a family of vocalists, we have grown up listening to our parents doing ‘riyaz’ and teaching music. Music was the language they spoke at home. ‘Baba’ and ‘Ma’, Smt. Krishna Chatterjee, are solely responsible to keep the musical souls alive through "Moorchhana" School of Music.
Rich in content and context, the lilting tunes and the fragrance of Papa's ‘Bandish’ lingered in our hearts. We wondered that as daughters what could we do to preserve this wonderful treasure, give it a new lease of life and also share it with the world. As a tribute to his legacy, we sisters would be singing/playing his Bandishes , which will be available to music connoisseurs on various social media platform. With no rigid plan in place, here we are with you to enjoy, explore, embellish and live a legacy of our family.

Dear Debopriyaji and Suchismitaji, thank you so much sharing this unique concert with us!
Especially since it’s for such an amazing initiative by both of you helping children inflicted with Cancer, through your Musical group Cancer Trust.
The concert performance is of course mesmerising with Ankitaji and accompanying musicians!
