Wonderful, it makes me proud to be British. I really envy all these police 'bluelighting' everywhere it brings back memories of when I was nursing in London.
I'm happy to see my black President visiting UK, this shows that he is a good leader seeking information and bench marking on how other Presidents lead their countries. He is not stereotyped. Maybe this state visit may put my beautiful country in a good map .thank you my intelligent President.

utter madness.... almost comical.... an unelected person having this level of money spent on them.... and the Windsor's cost far more than they ever earn for the country....
Actually they don't. The majority of the running costs of the monarchy are covered by the Sovereign Grant, which is 25 per cent of the income of the private Crown Estate. The government, so the taxpayers, keeps the balance. More than £300 million a year. Again, a fact, from the National Audit Office, is that the national budget gains about £2.5 billion a year from economic activity related to the monarchy. For example, the Sussex wedding in 2018 brought about half a billion pounds into the economy, whilst the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee brought in about a billion. Then factor in the approximately £200 million that members of the Royal Family help to raise for charity. For some charities, just one event attended by a member of the Royal Family can bring in enough to fund them for six months. As it happens, politicians cost far more. A Republic isn't cheaper. The French are complaining about soaring costs of their presidency. Just Air Force 1 costs American taxpayers more than $100 million and one presidential inauguration costs enough to finance the monarchy for about five years. This isn't just money spent on The King. This is Great Britain entertaining South Africa, trade with which country brings £11 billion into the economy each year.
@@michaelmontagu3979 then expand the monarch massively.... if its that good a cash cow the country needs a bigger monarchy... NOW. more large scale events & funerals. More trips and less down time. This actually could be the answer of Britain's cost problems... its monarchy is just not big enough. I'll get an urgent question asked in the House asap.
@@DB-sh4gh Hahaha. I'd say rather decrease the number of politicians who are dipping their hands into the taxpayer's pocket. If they had fewer expenses and fewer nice fact finding trips to warm places in winter, then we might save a few billion pounds. Maybe if they did their job properly and didn't have more lucrative outside work, then they might be worth what they get. I like the saying that when politicians are speaking they are lying and when not speaking they are stealing. They cost us taxpayers billions yet so many are worried about paying for one home and would be grateful for a wet weekend in Clacton.
