    Can a 1966 Triumph 650cc wiring harness be able to accept a higher output alternator and stator? say a RM19 to a RM 21 with a matching zener diode & rectifier?

      If its a push button start you can just change that for an ignition switch, its a straight swap over

    I own the oldest diesel rover 75 its a early 1999 and all the electrics are lucas I have a 2005 Rover 75 too and the 1999 is far better in everyway the 2005 mechanically way is amazing but the alternators and stuff always fails

    Lucas Prince of Darkness only comes from the USA. It was spread to disparage economic imported cars.

      @@johnburns4017 Jeremy Clarkson did a feature on late 1970’s US carmaking needless to say it would make some of the British leyland cars look fantastic.
