Thank you Gerrit, I have the All Wave Receiver on my desk waiting for restoration, it looks nice as it is though.

Soooooooo much lovely stuff, especially those vintage radios and beautiful pre-WWII tubes. And, of course, a pair of KT66's :)
I bet some of those tubes could fetch a nice sum on an audiophile market.
You got your hands on a super awesome stash for sure!
The "old botch job" looks creepu at last. Like someone didn't want to replace that cap in a proper, elegant way. The fact that this electrolytic is all wrapped in insulating tape suggests that the can is not on the ground potential, so it's either negative (bias supply etc., but I wouldn't expect it in a TV) or positive (connecting capacitors in series for a higher working voltage). Still, it's an aftermarket fix or mod.

Thank you, I was really grateful for the donation, a neighbour put me in touch with someone who wanted to get rid of some old electronic stuff, I was happy to be the custodian of these items, I will eventually include some of them in my future videos.

That Celestion speaker is nice. Love the Hacker radio. The GEC is beautiful. Nice find.

Yes, they are in quite nice condition. I will make some videos of them in the not too distant future - as soon as I have finished my new electronics workshop, which is currently under construction.

Never heard of a reed driven loudspeaker. It says it's made under licence...I wonder who from?

I only had a brief look inside, the construction looks more like a relay, with the coil static.
The cone looked a bit delicate so I gently put it back together, i'll probably make a video of the speaker sometime in the near future.
I don't know about the manufacture licence, it needs some investigation.
