- What does it take to become a professional darts player and how good do you really have to be?
If this is something you’ve ever wondered. This is the video for you!
There’s also a reason behind this video and I wouldn’t be wrong in saying it’s an absolute ludicrous idea!
Darts is such a deceiving game i feel, you watch it, looks easy all you gotta do is keep your arm straight but my god its w struggle😂
Subbed.
Good luck in this, but choose a better footie team 😂 (I'm a Blackburn fan)
My lad goes to the youth academy in Blackburn and there are some amazing young players who would be up there for Q school if they were old enough.
Matthew Edgar broke it down on his channel. If you can complete games within 5 or 6 visits to the board on average, you can consider Q-School. Anything higher than that, probably wont cut it. I'm hoping to give it a go one day too, we're somewhat on the same averages, so we've got our work cut out. All the best to you!
Also try the jdc darts challenge it's a great bench mark for ability then coming back to it ,in time
It's 3 darts at 10 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 14 / 15
Then 1 dart at double starting 1 going upto 20 then 1 at bull
Then 3 darts at 15 / 16 / 17 / 18 / 19 / 20
Absolutely mate! Got that coming up in a few videos 👍🏼
You’re a lot better than you give yourself credit for mate, even 5th place played a 70 avg, keep grafting geez👊🏻🎯
Appreciate the comment mate. Lots of work to do!
Bit of advice from someone thats been q school
Play everything you can
When i was playing decent darts few years back i was playing almost every night of the week and practicing at home when i could
I was always better in a game than i was in practice
Was a county standard player that had the odd high 80s occasional 90 average
But i always treated pub darts and singles league as pressure practice for when i actually went to opens or challenge tour events
Q school was just a go see how i get on and test myself rather than actually wanting a tour card
Great advice mate. I’m going to do everything I can to improve.
When you said you wanted to do things to the best of your abilities ever since you were young, it reminds me a lot of myself. Very coincidentally, I was also a junior golfer, and am also now en route to a bodybuilding competition at the end of the year. Needless to say I'm also an avid darts player. Also a lefty (but playing golf as a righty). My man, best of luck. I know you'll get there eventually.
Appreciate that mate. Right back at you! Respect 🤝🏻
I dont think that dubbele practice is good bc if you trow for your dubbels you use your first dart as a marker so you can trow aigenst it
Yeah true. It’s just a gauge of different target hitting 👍🏼
Check me if I am wrong, but didn’t Kevin Lane show a 77.69 average?
Could have done. I might have missed it
yh
good luck mate :)
Thanks mate. I think I might need it!
@@Sam_brack keep up your solid practice! improvements will come! If you ever fancy a game online (nakka) let me know!
good luck man! Also, are you a left handed thrower? If so, i am too. lefty gang
Thanks mate! Yeah I’m a lefty. Maybe that’s why I’m not very good 😂
@@Sam_brack you got this 💪🏼
Good luck mate.... i am on the same page. I see you have scolia, me too, which app or extension you are using for your practice games? if you
don't mind?
Thanks buddy. I use ‘godartspro’ 👍🏼
@@Sam_brack Nice man, im gonna follow the journey, looks fun! also question about the app. did you download a looses APK file because in the android store its only for older devices
Hi...
Found your channel today and this video specifiacly first...
Im preparing for competition where all kategories are but most of begginers, thats why there will be groups played in High score...so whole today i played this 33round scoring game...
My rist attemps was like 1600-1900, then i tried to swich Fkights in my Luke Humphries tx1 darts from Condor intermidi to Short Kflexes, and i scored like 2000something..so i swap back to midi condors and again dropped to 1700...so swap again to short kflexes, and boom 2400..
I thought that maybe im getting warmuped so i swap again and same story, so after 4 these swaps i figured out that maybe shorts are for me :D laboratory test will continue tomorow :D
Great video
What app are you using that scans your darts ?
It’s a Scolia
Gonna follow this bud interesting to see how far you come along as I’m a similar level 60 average at home probs 55-60 away from home
Good luck dude, I'm a year and half on my journey....not gonna lie, it's harder than I thought. I've always been decent a sports, and handling pressure, but I'm not finding too much positive transfer 😂
Darts is hard!
That board seen better days ,invest in new board will help
Petition to get Sam Brack to q school
How long have you been playing?
Great video pal. Nice golf swing too. Darts and golf just go hand in hand 🖐️ 🤚
I wish I was as good at darts as I was golf 😂
Good luck fella. I'm finding darts really hard to be fair, especially playing matches on dartcounter. Just need to keep putting myself in them awkward spots. I played fool for England from 2016-2018, but darts is a whole new game to me. Avg is about 45 at the minute. That will get cooked even in the local leagues.
Thanks mate! Darts is hard! Keep at it mate 👍🏼
Hi mate, Been following on TikTok for a lil while, I average high 50s when I’m “playing well”, I’m 24 and have a desire to get there, how much are u practising? And how often
An hour or so most days. I’m doing a video next week on practice 👍🏼
Good luck to you. Even focusing the way you are will bring massive improvements.
Let’s hope so! Thanks mate!
What app do you use mate
Good luck subbed to this to see how how you get on. I’ve been back playing competitively a year would like to get to Q school within 5 years. Playing Adc helps massively with competitive nature played in last 3 qualifying for under 65 comp and top 32 national comp. Slow progress but getting there. All the best 🎯
Thanks mate! Good luck to you aswell!
I'll follow your progress. Been playing for a little more than a year now. Was getting somewhere (60+ AVG) and beating really good local players but overtrained and have been resting more now. Now building up my game again in a smarter way without getting overtrained again. Good luck on your journey :-)
Good luck to you mate! And thank you!
Great video Sam, ADC week in week out will improve your game 10 fold 👍🏻
Thanks for watching! Yeah I agree. It’s great to play with good players
I'm in follow your journey
I'll definitely follow your journey. Im getting back into darts after not playing in 12 years. I used to play in pub leagues between 16-19 years old, with an average of around 65. Im hoping to get back to that point consistently this year and see if i can get any better using a better practice routine than i used to.
Thanks mate. And good luck!
Looking forward to seeing this journey! I began playing seriously 6 weeks ago with a 30 average 🙈 got that up to 47 now practicing when I can. Great video and good luck 😃
Keep at it mate! Thanks for watching 🤝🏻
looking forward to watching the rest of these videos mate , goodluck with it all ! im currently avg around 53 and aiming for around 65 by the end of the year ive never saw that switching doubles game before ill try this one myself
Thanks mate! Keep up the good work 👍🏼
I don’t think it is stupid at all you want to up your game enough to get to Q school, mate. I hope you make it there, and I don’t see any reason why you wouldn’t be able to if you put in the practice and effort; you have a good skill base to build off of…at least from what I’ve seen. Good luck
Appreciate that mate! Means a lot! I’ll give it my best
Best of luck!!!! that board needs retiring mate xD
It’s got a couple more spins left in it yet 😂 thanks mate 👍🏼
Love the concept, best of luck to you! I’ve subscribed for the journey!
Thanks mate. I’m going to need it!
Loving the videos mate. I'm at a similar level myself. See you at Q-school ;)
Let’s hope so!
Bro is going to Mordor
I’ve watched you on TikTok good luck Sam
Cheers buddy
I will do the same and keep training, wish you the best of luck mate 🤞🏼
Thanks buddy!
Sam I’m new to darts and tend to hold the dart at the back of the barrel near the start of the shaft. What darts would you recommend
I think the Nathan aspinall darts would be pretty good
;ove this just put my board back up inspired
Love that! Enjoy brother!
I tried the 33 dart avg twice. 50.81 and 50.64 😒
Keep at it mate 👏🏻
Subbed looking forward to seeing your journey buddy 👍
Thanks mate! 🤝🏻
Bro you were looking great you should try get back to that
I should, you’re right
Vaults are decent. Come and play in Stevenage on a Saturday
I’d love to. But I can’t justify a 2 hour drive to lose 2-0 every game 😂
Wish you best of luck Sam! You got this ;)
Thanks mate 🤝🏻
Do you have scolia recording system
Yes mate
ADC is a great leveller I find. Interested in this series alot
Agreed
Love your channel dude... everything you do makes perfect sense for my game. I'll keep it up
Appreciate that mate. Thanks for watching
@@Sam_brackjust dis my 99 dart challenge... averaged 54.5
I just started playing darts about a month ago at 40 years old. I've been like you my whole life where if I start at something I have an overwhelming drive to improve so I can compete. I'm looking forward to this series! Keep up the good work mate!
Well,so I am not that crazy then,I 'm 49 and bought my first dRts and boards the 10/4/24,,,not yet 3 weeks,I set up a spare room only 1 week ago and this weekend I started my plan where I play at least 1 hour every day,and when I can ,much more( i set a permanent chronometer in the room, and I use it even if I play ten minute)...
I am a firm believer ,that practice make perfect,at any reasonable age......
I believe that if anyone would play darts 8 hours a day for a year ,he would achieve a professional level, and I also believe that to play darts 8 hours a day you would need a Saint like perseverance.
Love that mate! Keep at it. Who knows where it’ll take you
Good effort look forward to seeing more
🤝🏻
need a new board man COYWM
Soon haha!
Good luck mate!!!
Appreciate that mate 👍🏼
Best of luck to you!
Thanks buddy 🤝🏻
What area are you playing your darts in and what is the standard like in your local league
ADC east of England. And my average is about 20 short of being competitive 😂
@Sam_brack I play in two local pub leagues and ADC run some events at Darfield club close to where I play am currently playing in events run by Carl Wilkinson there 1 a month a real good standard and a good pay out aswell
From TikTok 👌
🤝🏻
good luck lad!
Thanks mate!
Just done 99 darts and averaged 80. I’ll take that as a casual darts player
A lot better than me mate 👍🏼
It’s a great marker to see where you’re at and like you said. Good practice
Update. Just got 92 average with 5 180 in there.
Thanks for the video. This is a really good training exercise 👍
First
👍🏼
What is that app please?
Godartspro 👍🏼
@@Sam_brack thanks man! Just out of interest too do you have something that is auto scoring when you were throwing 99 darts?
@@hodge1013 yeah mate. It’s a Scolia 👍🏼
More important than a high average is being able to do it consistently.
100%
You look like you've got great technique, I'll definitely be following your progress, Love these blogs/progress videos.
I'm sure you'll improve your game 10 fold over the next weeks and months with consistency and dedication.
Good luck Sam 🫡
Thanks mate! I’ll be doing everything I can!
