Objectively speaking. Rory could be a huge fucking liar. But because Joe has done so much to destroy any trust of his word it's basically impossible to guage. Rory consistently appears to be more truthful. But we really don't know one way or another
That’s fair statement to make, but as we see in the music industry past or present Rory still gets genuine love just because he the cool white guy hip hop nerd that knows a lot and hasn’t had anyone come out and say he a “culture vulture” after he’s worked with them or even hung out with them. Joe in the other hand has made it very clear that when he was a rapper no one really like him and he can count on his fingers in many people in the music industry liked him, but it was until he had his podcast and was more “friendly” is when more industry people started like Joe and talking/hanging out with him more. So that’s why Rory could be seen in more brighter eyes than Joe.

It’s not about entitlement. Aside from the fact that Rory is a fan of tank and had an album to promote, people forget before and after the Joe budden podcast Rory was and is still respected in the music industry. Not as some big player or anything, it because he’s worked with and met so many artists and they have positive things to say about him and respect his musical opinions since he knows so much and has just been the “cool” white guy in the culture. So no one should be mad at him for trying to be on tank podcast since Rory is a podcasters as well and is simply going there with good intentions to be a music nerd and not disrespect Tank. Not sure if Joe budden did something but we’ll never know right now is both their allegations on this topic against each others.

@@rrosen85 This is why ISH a businessman himself, told Joe live on the podcast “hey Joe since yall not taking it to court, how about you have Rory and Mal come back to the podcast and sit with you and all of us and expose the contracts, text messages and other receipts that will show who really is telling the truth and who is lying so we can put this story to bed” Rory and Mal responded to this on their podcast the following week and confidently laughed and said “yeah Joe we will gladly come up their and expose everything!” That’s three people challenging Joe for the truth, and guess what Joe said in response to this “oh whatever ISH let’s move onto the next topic”. So if even Ish is willing to question Joe like he does all the time who seems to be really hiding something?
Can’t be Rory and Mal because if their wrong their reputation is ruined but yet they staking it and willing to expose the truth while Joe keep ducking the smoke.
Joe, Rory and Mal already said they not taking anybody to court. Joe thinks it’s a waste of his time and Rory and Mal said publicly let Joe keep their stolen money because they already made that money back and would rather let karma get Joe and have Joe sit their with his quilt, because they both know they did nothing wrong to Joe. Court cost money and we all know that so why waste the money for a long drawn out case, both parties have landed and are successful.

I do think Rory had a great album and played great sleepers when he was still with Joe but I also do know that dude is super sensitive
lol that’s the funny part Rory admits he a sensitive guy, but as for Sleepers people can literally go back to the beginning of Joe podcast when it was called “I’ll name this podcast later” where he says Rory and I along with, I believe it was Melissa Mendez at the time came up with the afterthoughts segments and sleeper picks. Joe needs to know that what he says is documented and can be found again. Even if he asked Rory thoughts about sleepers being a segment on the show that still says that Rory had an input and help make that decision for that segment to exist. Also Joe and Rory love the same type of music and that’s what formed their friendship like they told us so I 100% believe Rory and Joe brought that idea up together because they needed to find a way to stretch the podcast episode in its early days since they was still figuring it out.
@@bandhere728 Oh for sure, I do hate the narrative switch that Joe seems to be doing where Rory didn't do shit for the podcast, didn't contribute, didn't help build it up, etc. etc. The fans seem to run with it, especially after the bare minimum boys became a thing. I also remember that period between the Marissa issue and Mal coming in, Mal pumped life into the podcast, but I know everyone is gonna act like he didn't shit for the podcast either. I am really trying to figure out how I went from one of the biggest fans of the JBP since episode 1 to the sound, tone, and patronizing/condescending way Joe talks annoying the sh*t out of me. I thought I just needed a break but every time I try to listen again, I get annoyed within the first 5 minutes. I don't even know what happened. Still rocking with my man Danny though!
Hey you should have been a fan of Joe when he was rapping, and on love and hip hop. This is nothing new just the same old Joe. He used to joke about him being in a rebrand faze when he had his new born child and his new relationship and the podcast with his “nearest and dearest” friends was going great and for those couple of years we liked Joe and even said himself he talking to people who wouldn’t even give him the time of day when he was Joe budden the rapper. But as always Joe fumbles the positive in his life and then gaslights us and plays victim until he “fake” takes accountability for his actions so we can “like” him again. Joe to me personally is dope rapper and earned his hip hop card and podcast career, but he just a crappy person overall.
