These lyrics are really good! Her voice is very shaky though. Normally I wouldn't really like it because it makes her singing sound very rushed and frantic, but I think it actually goes kinda well with this song. It feels like she's rambling and just spilling out all of her thoughts and feelings.
I'd enjoyed this cover, but one little criticism that I have for it is that I find that it has too much vibrato. I know that I said a couple of videos back that I'd enjoyed more of the vibrato, but it went a little overboard this time. Although, I shall say that the amount of vibrato still kind of fits, considering the frantic state that the song conveys.
I couldn't agree more ~ This one was a little tricky to tune because in order to make Eleanor's samples more clear and prevent any abrupt cuts, I tuned the file at half the BPM and then doubled the speed from within my DAW, so it meant the trial and error was off the charts and some fast vibratos snuck in :D
@@joezcafe_covers Since I just read about how you made it, then a way that could have counter-acted the fast vibratos would have been to cut the frequency of them by half (although, the frequency can only go as low as 3 Hz), unless you manually created them. In any case, still, the frequency that they're going now due to the manipulation of the voicebank matches the tone of the song, considering the theme of it, thus causing her to sound like her voice is quivering since she's in such distress over the situation that she's in.
@@joezcafe_covers i would say a way to keep that frantic energy without the vibrato being too much is for the vibrato to start immediately when the note does, and use the note parameters to fade it out from there, essentially backwards to what intuition would tell you- that way there would still be this very fast sounding frantic tone but it'd be over just when the listener would be able to process what the sound was, making it seem like not too much at all. also! i think that method of tuning in half tempo is genius and i'll definitely be employing that in the future.

I’m not usually a fan of covers, or of translated version of Japanese tracks, but there’s something about this that just works where many don’t. A big part of it, I think, is that it’s still done via a song voice sy 5esizer so it still manager to capture some of the essence of the Vocaloid original. On top of that, you’re clearly worked hard to try to make the lyrics fit the original rhythm. Something that even some official song translations don’t always manage, and lose something of the original’s charm.

I usually don’t like english covers of this song because the lyrics usually sound awkward and don’t always make sense.. there were no such problems here. everything about this cover is great, from the tuning to the lyrics.
It can be a multitude of reasons, but I’d wager the most significant is either the mixing effects Wowaka chose to incorporate in the original which makes the vocal tone more grounded or it’s on account of Japanese being a more phonetically simplistic language to synthesise, giving the vocal output less room for error compared to English.

He can however claim the video and any profit from it but because he's no longer with us, his lawyer(s) I assume or anyone tied to him legally would probably be able to carry out copyright claims. To summarize, covers are fine as long as you give credit and don't try to give away any portion of the original without consent of the owner. Usually, for personal use, you're safe.
