DRIVER INJURED IN HUGE CRASH AT BOWMAN GRAY - BURT MYERS GETS ANOTHER WIN AT BOWMAN GRAY

It was the huge crash on the restart that people might remember this race for. A car had stalled partially on the track in turn 1 with the 2 wide leaders bearing down on it....and the check ups lead to a pile up - the big one at Bowman Gray.
The wreck actually led to Tim Brown being diagnosed with a broken wrist. You can see his front right tire move when the car behind him hits him, which probably made his steering wheel whip around and cause the injury.
Myers held on to win after the race resumed.
Burt Myers described in his victory interview that sometimes you're the hammer and sometimes you're the nail - and he's been the nail for the past few weeks. This week he hammered the field, picking up the win, his 4th of the 2024 season. Burt started on the pole and led flag to flag.

It's one of those tracks where who starts first usually ends up first. Tear up the asphalt, dig out the infield so the track ends up a banked dirt track. Less wrecks but much better racing.
