I am surely getting fed up with this TZ Kenya stupid comparison. Focus on what ails Kenya and works for Kenya. Kenya was a settler colony, TZ was not. Kenya's land laws are pretty similar to TZ on foreigner land ownership. However, there are historical land injustices in Kenya that remain unresolved.
Isnt Tanzanias mines and parks owned by mzungus? Just recently they were displacing the maasai community in Tanzania to take their land and give to mzungus for reservation aka sell land for their luxury
@@Powerful_Akoth But at least in that case, the land is actually own by the Tanzanian women and therefore a lot easier for the government to take it back (if needed)
It is extremely beneficial that we are starting this discussion, the way forward will surely come forth, Modecai deserves to be in the next HE Omtata government
Lynn, another eye opening show with one of our best, Modacai. Wildlife poachers and stealing of certain indigenous trees like Muiiri was all an organized crime. Most recently crimes like stealing Muiri for mass exportation, a couple of times burning Mt. Kenya forest was all under the so-called experts covering up their criminal activity. BBC reported the cause of the fires was a marijuana farmer....one day, we shall have our Kenya back, hoping it'll not be rinsed dry by then. GenZ angalia hii manenos.
@@gibson2675 Why don't you tell the whole story. After Mugabe kicked the coloniser out, the UK conspired with her allies to impose sanctions on Zimbabwe (any individual company or country trading with Zimbabwe would face sanctions). All pre-approved loans which had been agreed on the international market were cancelled; they started funding a political party (the MDC), funded by whites, fronted by Blacks and then embarked on a vicious propaganda campaign against Mugabe accusing him of corruption, ineptitude and human rights abuse. Only recently, after investigating, the UN ruled the illegal economic sanctions were the cause of human rights abuse in Zimbabwe! When you tell the story of Zimbabwe, go on and tell the whole story, don't limit yourself to lies.
Thank you, Lynn, for this conversation. I have learnt so much. What is unfortunate is that the government is usually very aggressive ensuring that we pay the myrid of taxes, yet there is a section of people who do not pay taxes.
This is one topic that is interesting. Can we really talk about equality in this country for sure because practically it's almost impossible? Thank you for bringing him back Lynn. Continue doing the good job.
People need to stop being greedy. Educate one another and organise accordingly in order to fulfil your basic needs. Once that's sustained there is time and resources to expand and enjoy more fruits of that labour. If you have a corporate identity you are a corporate entity and you have no rights. If you don't acknowledge the crown then it needs not apply to the indigenous people of that land...
No only don't they pay tax...I know one who has now sub divided the hundreds of acres of land but is selling 4 million a piece yet some don't even have land. And in mombasa the German gorvement organized with the government to allow its citizens to be able to purchase land. Not sure if the deal went through but from recent developments of the German opening a consulte in diani...you never know
The issue of land 🤦🏽♀️ " owned" by colonizers. Kenyans 🇰🇪 and South Africans 🇿🇦 are fighting ✊🏽the same battles on 😊this issues. It proves how rich in resources both lands are, they dont want to let go. Blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦 🙏🏽
I keep saying the same thing. Kenya and South Africa are sister countries, only that there's distance between us, but we're both controlled by the same colonial systems that seek to keep us disinherited from our God-given natural resources. We also had a very similar apartheid-like period here in Kenya, during the mau mau struggle for independence, where most of the restrictive tactics imposed on a section of Kenyans were imported from South Africa and Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia). I hope we can both use these conversations to figure out the solutions to our challenges. Love from Kenya ❤
Even in Malawi! We have tea estates in southern Malawi and the transaction happen sin Europe…not even a penny comes to Malawi. Whites have a colonial mentality embedded in them hence the hatred for Chinese and other races😢
This was really good, some parts make you angry, some parts make you think and some parts are aha moments, but cumulatively, they get you thinking and asking questions which is good for the future. Thanks Lynn & team.
Thumbs up to this man, Mordechai! Massive tracts of land in the wildlife sector of Kenya may have been secretly and unfairly sold to, or leased to Britain, for hundreds of years, so that they could agree to grant Kenya its independence in 1963. This man has opened a very big can of worms. He has enlightened kenyans more than ever. Our government should now, not tomorrow, come out and tell Kenyans the truth. They cannot afford to keep the secrets any longer. Let every Kenyan listen to this conversation in this vlog
Bring the likes of Mordecai, we really need such conversations not forgetting civic education especially in our rural areas. I moved from the city to my rutal home to do some agribusiness & i tell you the level of ignorance!!!! My ooh my… we really need to include everyone in this journey of being awakened, enlightened and take necessary actions….
Thank u Lynn & Oganda 4 this very enlightening conversation. I listened 2 it wit tears in my eyes. It's sad how much we've been lied 2 & exploited. 😭😭😭
Hi Lynn, I wanted to take a moment to praise you for your outstanding work on your UA-cam channel. I appreciate your entire team. Your content is consistently informative, thought-provoking, and truly mind-awakening. The above segment on the issue of land in Kenya, particularly concerning settler colonies, is incredibly insightful. This is a conversation that absolutely needs to be revisited and prioritized in our national discourse, even before we approach topics like compensation for the historical injustices committed against our motherland and its people. Please extend my heartfelt gratitude to your guest, Mordecai, for his sage wisdom and for shedding light on such an important matter. His insights are invaluable and resonate deeply. Thank you for being a voice of truth and for continuously pushing boundaries with your impactful work. Stay true and unshaken! Warm regards, Andrew
The reason resolving this issue is difficult is because our own people (Njonjo, Kenyatta, Koinange et al) also did the same thing of massive (and irregular) land acquisition. Can the political class implement policies against themselves? There you go. Just subscribed Lynn. Thank you for awakening our conscience
This Man Dr.Mordecai Ogada must Address the African Union and the meeting of African Head of States. Thanks Lynn Ngugi for This Presentation.❤👍🌹 Greatness Appreciated.
@ruthnjeri Seriously, you're going to ask why this is not in the mainstream media, do you not know media has it's owners, who are elitist whose agenda is at odds with the common mwananchi? Kenyans must learn to go to the margins to learn the truth.
Sober mind this one. I'm always hooked to this noble man's 'coversations.' Asante Lynn for bringing Mordecai back. Looking forward to hearing more from him.
By the way we need to revisit the Indians too in kenya . Where do they get their drive license? How come they don’t rent to Africans in Parklands. We also have Indian privilege in kenya
These Indians feel like they own Kenya together with Kenyans... Having worked for them more than 5 years feels like a slave... The way they treat Africans should be reviewed....
This guy is brilliant and i absolutely agree with him. This is why we did land reform in Zimbabwe. Land is the most important national asset. And colonizers that stole land at gunpoint cannot now claim "ownership" of the land. For an independent country to have any land called "Crown Land" is ridiculous. Who's crown ? Thank you Lynn for introducing us to these great thinkers. Now how do we get people like Mordecai in government.
@@gibson2675 countries like Botswana for example has succeeded they are indigenous owned farmers and it is the number one exporter of beef in Africa to Asia, EU etc. As for Zimbabwe since 2017 the country has been very productive having bumper harvests and exporting their produce to other countries. Another great conversation, Lynn and Dr Ogada. Now I clearly understand why the colonial government left some structures in place like the provincial administration in Kenya and also left black colonial masters who still plunder our treasures without mercy!, displacing poor Kenyans by removing them from informal settlement, with bulldozers, and with little disregard for human lives!
If they say that they are Kenyan and have nowhere to go, ok .... Scenario: if there were ever hostilities between Britain and Kenya which side will they pick, where would their roots be then? What's the British army protecting here? 🤷♂ it's a joke that our African leaders are so comfortable busy politicking instead of building their Nations and yet we don't own or innovate any new technologies, heck we can't even feed ourselves, even jobs we are exporting people, nikama our leaders wame shindwa kabisa. All Colonial Agreements should be declared null and void .. implement land reclamation of lands taken illegally by colonialists. AU needs to issue resolutions to the effect. Otherwise, they just talking without courageous action. To be free and respected, end cowardice.
High mama i always say for Kenya to move forward we must do away with foreign military base and embassy because it seems we still a colony of some island 1 million kilometers away,no to house slave because we have many slave till these day
When Zimbabwe took back it's land, they made the British more aware of what could happen in all it's former countries. The same goes with France, Germany, Portugal and Spain. We have a long way to go in Africa to be truly free and independent. Yet some people want to to run to tribalism when you state facts

Greast topic that should go around not just Kenya and East Africa, but entire continent. We have so many things of the past to uncover, dismantle, re-educate ourselves on. The entire Western system was not meant for Africans, but it is the one we try to livey by, follow, even admire and worship (how we dress, wigs, whitening, education). Even in the non-colonised neighboughcountry of KE in Ethiopia colorism, anti-blackness and white privilege is ripe. Unless we love ourselves as collective, we can´t fight any type of Western, Arab, or Asian colonialism. This informed and connect generation has no escuses anymore. Thanks LNN. Keep it up!

In Tanzania, a foreigner is not even allowed to purchase a land, only the indigenous people can own land. Why can't we be like them?
I am surely getting fed up with this TZ Kenya stupid comparison. Focus on what ails Kenya and works for Kenya. Kenya was a settler colony, TZ was not. Kenya's land laws are pretty similar to TZ on foreigner land ownership. However, there are historical land injustices in Kenya that remain unresolved.
Isnt Tanzanias mines and parks owned by mzungus? Just recently they were displacing the maasai community in Tanzania to take their land and give to mzungus for reservation aka sell land for their luxury
Do you know they marry Tanzania women to own land? Bro wake up. There’s nothing yts can’t do to play blacks.
@@esem135@anny19988 is actually complementing the Tanzanian land ownership system.
@@Powerful_Akoth But at least in that case, the land is actually own by the Tanzanian women and therefore a lot easier for the government to take it back (if needed)
This has happened in all countries of the british commonwealth. This also affects Jamaica.
This video is a superb educational tool. It actually amounts to an entire university course especially because it traverses multiple knowledge areas.
Sijui turudi maandamano to take our land back
Our eyes are always opened every day with this conversations. Thanks Lynn for this. Mordecai respect
Turudi haraka sana.
Mordecai loves the Maasai people. And we looooove him back ❤
No wonder, Mugabe kicked them out.
Mugabe knew what's up ... And they destroyed the whole country to erase him from history.
In the meantime they beggin for foodhand outs lol
Yes he was right, the land is ours. We don't own any inch of Europe but over here this is our homeland
No more food handouts lol@@tifarestravels
I must listen carefully, thanks Lynn for bringing him back👏👏
Ogada amerudi wakuu!
I like how he unpacks neocolonialism calling it for what it is, in short, kuibiwa live live!
I'm so excited to see him back!!!!! Sasa Wacha niskikilize vizuri. Then I come back.
Wow! Another national treasure Mordecai Ogada. Thank you for bringing him back here.
Hello team LNN,
Always great to see you here❤️
What are your thoughts on today’s show? Kindly leave us your feedback on the comment section below 🙏🏾
No only don't they pay tax...I know one who has now sub divided the hundreds of acres of land but is selling 4 million a piece yet some don't even have land. And in mombasa the German gorvement organized with the government to allow its citizens to be able to purchase land. Not sure if the deal went through but from recent developments of the German opening a consulte in diani...you never know
Mordecai in one person i can listen to 24/7
He's so full of wisdom.
This is not only an eye opener...but an insight on our own heritage and it's high time fir us to wake up from our slumber
We are in this together ❤️ ❤
@@kim1570Very true ❤ even our other problems are similar 😊
I have nothing against 🇰🇪 folks my only issue is the heavy indoctrination by your colonial settlers slave masters
This was really good, some parts make you angry, some parts make you think and some parts are aha moments, but cumulatively, they get you thinking and asking questions which is good for the future. Thanks Lynn & team.
We're glad you found the episode thought-provoking!🙏🏾
@lydiatinega3781 What kind of ignorance did you encounter?
Lynn is gold and so is her shows & guests. One stop educational/info. Hats off to the brilliant Dr Modercai.
Thank u Lynn & Oganda 4 this very enlightening conversation. I listened 2 it wit tears in my eyes. It's sad how much we've been lied 2 & exploited. 😭😭😭
Nice to have him back.
This man is seeing things from a depth very few people can.may God protect him.
Hi Lynn,
I wanted to take a moment to praise you for your outstanding work on your UA-cam channel.
Warm regards,
Andrew
Thanks LNS for Informative and Intellectual conversation with Mr Morcecai Ogada FREE KENYA FREE AFRICA
WITH LOVE FROM THE CARIBBEAN. IT IS TIME TO REVISIT THE COLONIAL LAND AGREEMENTS.
Am from samburu, now i believe that poverty is actually deliberate..😢manufactured😢
Why is this not in the main media. We need to change this conversation to where we are the owners. Thanks Lynn for the good work ❤️
@ruthnjeri Seriously, you're going to ask why this is not in the mainstream media, do you not know media has it's owners, who are elitist whose agenda is at odds with the common mwananchi? Kenyans must learn to go to the margins to learn the truth.
This is the media. What you call 'main media' is now called legacy media
LNN overtook mainstream media a long time ago 🎉

Thank you, Lynn, for bringing Dr. Mordecai Ogada back. It's infuriating and hurt breaking learning that colonisers never left .

Sober mind this one. I'm always hooked to this noble man's 'coversations.' Asante Lynn for bringing Mordecai back. Looking forward to hearing more from him.
Sober Kabisa. Yaani ile re learning tunapewa, my soul is happy..
This guy should be given the ministry of Environment , mining and blue economy
And yes, those should be joint into 1 ministry!
So true. Kwanza yao ni mbaya zaidi
Thank you!
But you need to make the land productive or else whats the point
@@gibson2675 countries like Botswana for example has succeeded they are indigenous owned farmers and it is the number one exporter of beef in Africa to Asia, EU etc. As for Zimbabwe since 2017 the country has been very productive having bumper harvests and exporting their produce to other countries. Dr. Mordecai calling it as it is. Good work LNN.
This conversation is mind-blowing, they should give back all those private conservancies, and any other land that is in thousands of acreages, the children of Kenya are suffering and toiling day n night to own a plot at least. Wau, this is the first time I watch this. Mr. , Ogada please keep it up. Our young people need to hear this. You speak of Nanyuki, I went to school with many of their children. I was a 3 year old during MM. Some people know about the pick and choose, but what do they do. It is painful because once in a while it all comes to mind, especially how we grew up in that situation in the regions that some Kenyans so disrespect today.

Wow I’m Kenyan and I’m so surprised we still have settlers in Kenya. I thought this thing was a South African , Namibia etc. Surely this system ought be dismantled. Happening in current Kenya? Shameful!!!
It is indeed a complex issue that needs to be addressed and debated.

I can't wait to we are allowed to deal with Africans in Europe. You people have no respect
Naskia kama mimi ni mgeni Kenya and am Kenyan....waah and the way we are seriously suffering...
The so called "sovereign agreements" that Afrikans were by other means FORCED to accede prior to independence to, is a manifest reason as to why France is eventually been physically ejected from the Sahelian region, where they established themselves on every current and future commercial opportunities of the region, and to hold such sway, they compelled every francophone central bank into the CFA as leverage --- in the anglophone centers, including Kenya they used other strategies to capture the commercial value and opportunities of the country, land is just one part of a VERY sensitive and controversial regimen of neo-colonial secret agreements....

I always wonder how an individual can own thousands of land yet some don’t even have a roof over their heads. Then the most painful thing is that our own people in power use our ignirance to continue overexploiting us then come election time we are busy clapping for them” mheshimiwa”..we need to be awakened my people…there is no joy in suffering
I don't understand too. How can you have a 15 bedroom house and down the street there are people with no roof overhead
Very informative, thank you both.
The world is moving forward without us!
... and also, you would never see a Kenyan owning thousands of acres in Buckinghamshire and a KDF barracks in Yorkshire, it would be unimaginable to them.
What leaders, they are stooges and puppets, the real leaders were either OUSTED or ASSASSINATED;
OUSTED: Nkrumah, Modibo Keita, Olimpios Silvanos.
ASSASSINATED: Lumumba, Cabral, Sankara, Machel, Gaddhafi, Magufuli, Kabila Snr, Pio Gama Pinto, Tom Mboya, Steve Biko, Mangaliso Robert Sobukwe, Chris Hani
Stooges Mobutu Sese Seko, Blaise Campaore, Omar Bongo and his son Ali Bongo, KENYATTA, Uhuru, Moi, KIBAKI, RUTO, KAGAME, MUSEVENI
our oppressors are black and political class..moving around with helicopters they bought with stolen money.. vomiting on our shoes..killing generations.. and they dont live in Britain
Thank you so so much for educating, enlightening and awakening us!!!!
We "fought" on Madaraka Express before its launch in 2017, myself from Pretoria, Southafrica, you in Kenya, thanks the internet allowing us to reverse the borders of Europe in 1884. I supported the new rail infrastructure and its towering rail infrastructure in animal parks, motivated by principles of African development spurred the partnership with China and FOCAC. You then appeared to concerned, I take it that the animals are OK now. good to see you on UA-cam now. I am a student of national development and transport for life, since being exposed to the 1980 Lagos OAU Transport Plan for Africa in 1980, before China emerged as a non-aid partner for us Africans, planted with the Tanzam railway between Zambia and Tanzania in 1970 to 1976. Thanks Lynn for the opportunity.

All Colonial Agreements should be declared null and void .. implement land reclamation of lands taken illegally by colonialists.
AU needs to issue resolutions to the effect.
Otherwise, they just talking without courageous action.

THIS CONVERSATION IS VERY ANNOYING, PEOPLE JUST OWN MOST OF OUR LAND AT OUR OWN PEOPLES EXPENSE AND APPARENTLY THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO?
High mama i always say for Kenya to move forward we must do away with foreign military base and embassy because it seems we still a colony of some island 1 million kilometers away,no to house slave because we have many slave till these day
All of Africa is still colonised. We never got full independence.
When Zimbabwe took back it's land, they made the British more aware of what could happen in all it's former countries. The same goes with France, Germany, Portugal and Spain. We have a long way to go in Africa to be truly free and independent. Yet some people want to to run to tribalism when you state facts
It's a very informative message. Thanks for taking us through this. Some us are very naive or ignorant,as far as our country is concerned.
Thanks LNN. Keep it up!
