Hi! The bag you showed is beautiful! I too love watching the birds who visit us. I always feel so grateful to hear and see them; a little moment of peace. Have a great weekend!
Thank you so much! The bag makes me so excited to start a new project, but I am trying to get caught up some first 🙂. The birds make me feel so happy, it’s like having different visitors every day. It’s so great to have the bird feeder right by the window. I hope that you have a wonderful weekend too! 🙂
Hi Mandy, I’ve been meaning to tell you that I really appreciate how you’ve been posting the picture and link for your items. It’s great to get all of that information! Beautiful work
Thank you for the kind words Beth. I’m glad that putting the information there is helpful 🙂. I thought it might be easier for everyone to have it there.
Hello from Austria! The Willow sweater looks great! In both blue and pink. If you really like wearing oversized pieces, I would frog the sleeves on the pink sweater and knit them extra tight and fitted - that will definitely look great and is an extravagant style. 🫶🏻
Hi! Thank you so much for stopping by 🙂. The Willow pullover is a great pattern, I can’t wait for the release date on it. I love the fit of my blue one, but the pink color is amazing.
I have the pattern. Let me know if you cast it on and want company! Sometimes it’s easier to work on something when there’s someone else doing it too 🙂
I vote for dropping everything and immediately casting on that cat sweater! That is just adorable! I need to find one with a Boston terrier face on it.... I'm also with you on just a good simple tote bag. I love all the pretty project bags, but when it comes down to it if I'm taking my knitting somewhere I'm usually carrying other things too and just want a big easy tote! Have a good week!
The cat sweater is definitely in the queue. I think my daughter is going to want one too 🙂. I am sure there’s some Boston terrier color work out there. Totes make many trips out and about for me too 🙂. I hope you guys have an awesome week!
I think you can totally make the Lothlorien a full circle. I just did a quick Google and it looks like its often called a Pi shawl. Ravelry has some free fingering weight Pi shawls, so I would think it would be relatively simple to mash the cast on of the Pi and transition to the pattern of the half circle, eliminating any edge stitches from the half. I love the idea of shawls, but I'm still working on my first shawl (Aurora Cabin) so I dont know yet if I'll use them in practice. I know my next shawl cast on will be Nightshift once I finish my current shawl WIP. I try not to have multiple WIPs in the same category/genre at once. But after Nightshift, I want to make one of the fingering weight lace shawls, like Lothlorien. They're so beautiful and intricate.
Thank you so much! I’ve actually made Nightshift, it’s one of two knit shawls I’ve done. It was a fun knit 🙂 Aurora Cabin shawl is so pretty, I really had my eye on it. I definitely understand about not wanting multiple WIPs in the same category - it can get overwhelming when I do. I love the fingering weight shawls like Lothlorien. Part of me thinks modified as a circle, it’d make an amazing tablecloth and the other part thinks about using it as a blanket. So much knitting I want to do and so little time 😂
Your blue Willow Pullover looks great! I really like the pattern, it looks like such a nice light sweater. I have the same problem as you, I love to peruse Ravelry for patterns but then I want to knit everything…. And I don’t have time for that!
So many patterns and so little time 😅 I have started keeping a list of patterns that I want to do, that helps keep me focused. The only problem is that the list keeps growing and growing 😂
Hey Mandy - you should check out the 24 Birds pattern by Helen Stewart for a pi shawl pattern (and there’s also a 12 Birds pattern if you want to see the relationship between semicircular and circular shawls) x
HI Mandy! Came over from Mouses Makes podcast, love your sweaters, hope you get a chance to show off your bag soon, it's awesome and colourfull😊okay I'm going to pick up the franny granny poncho pattern, looks so cool xoxo
Thank you so much for your kind comments 🙂. I can’t wait to make the FloweryFair bag, it’s gorgeous. The franny granny poncho definitely caught my eye as well.

That Corbis sweater pattern is GORGEOUS! That is going on my list right now.

@@mandyvaughnknits it might be a 2025 project, but I will definitely let you know!

Hi Mandy, I just found your podcast through Mousesmakes. You’re sweaters are beautifully made. 👍😊🧶
Thank you for your kind words. I love the Mouse Makes podcast. It’s one I catch every week 🙂 Thank you for stopping by 💜
Oooo those polkacats are so sweet, I checked out the designer on ravelry, she has very cute cat patterns
Oh, I agree! There’s also a catvent sweater. I’ve done her sinister cat hat as well. There are just lots of different awesome patterns from her 🙂
The Lothlorien is very tempting. Looks like a years long project, but why not? Happy August!
It’s definitely tempting 🙂 Happy August!
Really enjoying your lovely channel - I'm so impressed with all your stunning knitting projects - i can't read patterns myself 🪷
Thank you so much! Reading patterns takes a little bit of practice.
I knitted Polkacats as a tunic and used leftover yarn for the cats.
I love the idea of using scraps for the cats. It would be a great way to use a whole bunch of beautiful colors 🙂. I bet it came out beautifully!
