      @komo Sheet music for a beat is relatively simple and pretty self explanatory, when you get into fills is when you have to start paying attention, at least for me. But yeah, drum sheet music is not hard at all, we don't have a plethora or chords to deal with or certain frets, or octaves.

      @komo Yeah, when you first pick up drums the hardest part is mostly coordination and timing, then you get into things like accents and whatnot so usually sheet music is the least of your worries.
      But it can depend on what style you are playing, for me I play in my church and I dont get sheet music so it is up to me to keep it interesting and not just use one same beat or fill. Someone in a jazz band might need specific sheet music for something they are playing with other musicians, so yeah it depends on a lot of things. Knowing how to read it is always good though.

      @@A_29886 all he's saying is that they gotta get their story straight, first they say "some takes years to master an instrument, but not for this prodigy" then they say "been playing since 2" she still took years to get where she is. Now is she a prodigy? Maybe a more accurate word would probably be genius. Is she a master? Probably not, not in a traditional sense at least. What about a non traditional sense? Probably still not.

      @@W_AnimalsKingdom It's figurative speech, non-stop as in constant paced practice. 1 hour a day for the majority of 2000+ days is impossible to do continuously for most people. If you take it literally it's 24 hours a day without sleeping or eating, that's not what I meant.

      That's exactly the point. How many kids do you think have the discipline, will, and passion that they would dedicate time which not many are wanting to dedicate? She's absolutely a prodigy in the sense that she not only is able to dedicate time without getting bored, but also can learn music at an accelerated rate without relying on sheet music, which is supremely impressive.

      I mean to be fair anyone can play a instrument at any age it's only when they play very complicated pieces that people say I was eating soap at this age my cousin plays piano and she's 9 but she's at beginner level because she never practices then complains about how I am better at it than her even though she started playing months before me but because I practiced more in a day than she does in 1 month I got way better it doesn't matter your age if you put no effort into ever trying to get better at something then of course your gonna stay the same no matter how much time goes by

      Good suggestion David. I do the same thing. It blows my mind we are at only 175 K for Yoyoka while people (drummers or other type musicians) with far less talent or charisma have over a million sometimes. I just can't explain it. As Yoyoka gets more well known worldwide I'm hoping her subs increase at a much faster rate. Brett

      Best drummers, guitarists, bands etc. are all of European descent. My opinion of course, but Asians don't seem to shine in musical endeavours.

      Of course it becomes very subjective because of the language gap and whatnot, but Asians don't have much creative talent of their own. It is all just replication of European pioneering. Same with all of their technology, medical advancements and the like.

    Idk if it’s just me, but there’s so many other kids her age that can do this, like my friends have showed me videos of different kids playing, it amazes me what some kids are capable of doing.

    I wouldn't call her a prodigy but was taught at a young age, it takes years to get where she is but she was learning at an age where she processes learning one million times better

    When I went to a church in the town my grandpa lives in, there was somebody jamming on the drums for all the songs in the beginning, they did pretty well.
    Then after a young boy walked out and I was surprised.
    Sometimes I underestimate kids and I am a kid.

    That really bothers me when people that have put in the effort get seen with eyes of envy even though they try so hard. She's been playing for 7 years WOMAN, don't take that time lightly.
