@@mrShift_0044 no, it won't. They won't be playing with the terrain changes, as those have been moved to 1.18. Therefore a world restart should not be necessary.
For compacting the blast chamber: Maybe you could use sticky pistons and alternating slime/honey blocks to add "weights" to the pistons and reduce the effective push limit.
Exactly this, yea. Having ballasts like that would reduce the the chamber’s footprint significantly, since the extra space the ballasts themselves take up integrate into the vertical space the collection pool already takes up.
Ive been using the original 240 design on a friend’s smp for over a year and it works great! definitely had to modify it myself with reset guides, failsafe measures, extra features, and more zero ticked pushers. a lot of fail explosions and learning but worked out in the end. glad to now have a second iteration to upgrade to, thank you!
So I built this just based on the video. Took a while, but, man, this is an insane machine! Kudos to you for designing this! I did two checks for how many blocks exactly each tnt would blow up: First 240, second 239! Also the solution for using the pistons to break the redstone line to the tnt dispenser for timing is pretty ingenious. Only thing I noticed was that without the block input stream elements, the thing looks like a giant swastika from above. Perhaps that's the reason why there was no litematic. Other than that, great job!
Thank god. I've rebuilt that blast chamber literally dozens of times, cleared all the blocks, rewatched the video 5 times, and it would always blow itself up after a few dozen perfectly fine runs.
Well if it helps, your 240 blast chamber still works on my server. I did do some prevention's though. I put an open fence gate to fill the center TNT shaft to prevent blocks from pushing too far, although they shouldn't. And I water logged the TNT so if blocks did push too far the TNT wouldn't destroy the machine. Also I just took the time to understand the machine.
Smart of you to failproof the blast chamber. I cannot count the number of times people have asked a question that would have been answered in the first minute or two had they watched my tutorial video
Instead of splitting into 4 streams, you could make it 2 streams but one of the pistons is a sticky piston positioned 13 blocks away to prevent pushing into the middle
Here's a challenge for you ilmango. You should make a complex version of this farm that will allow 2 and 4 simultaneous farms going at once, all feeding the blast chamber.
If you want to make the blast chamber more compact with the safety features, for the pistons pushing blocks in you can “artificially” decrease the push limit with honey blocks and slime blocks, so instead of 12 blocks out, you can halve that making the contraption much more compact
Very late response but there is already a video on it, it's called fancy brown mushroom block farm. Btw he also did a mushroom stem farm using redmushrooms instead, upside is more stems, downside is no mushroom blocks. I would still prefer the brown mushroom fancy bcuz of bonemeal efficiency, since the height isn't capped it doesn't eat through your bonemeal, plus you can compost the brown mushroom blocks
You should add a fungus log farm. They are really easy to make and are easy to sustain with a nether plant farm to get the small fungi and the other plants can be composted into bonemeal to fuel itself and the other farms a bit.
Couldn't you shrink this more easy-to-build version even further by using slime and honey blocks on a sticky piston? So the sticky piston pushes forwards the multiple connected block and then those blocks push a shorter line?
I’d like to see an Ilmango/SciCraft video that compares a new farm design and build to a equal number of players just mining and crafting the items to see what the break even point is. I get that they just do it to push the limits of minecraft, but I have always been curious.
If you had another block feed from the bottom of the blast chamber you could have a spherical blast cavity. That seems like it might be more TNT efficient.

Couldn't you make a blast chamber that pushes blocks around the centre in a circle of sorts? You can then place unpushable blocks at the other end, and keep the whole thing a lot smaller. The 4-way design you showed almost works for that, it just needs one fewer piston so it can't push blocks into the centre.
@@NgoKimPhu the fence would be against the blocks of the other side, having blocks either side such that you would only need to store half of the blocks in that push limit line of blocks
