How glaciers can predict global warming | Glaciologist Nina Kirchner

Tarfala Research Station, located just above the Arctic Circle in northern Sweden, provides a unique environment for research.
The environment here is like a giant natural laboratory, where climate change is happening faster and more obviously than in other places.
The goal of the research taking place, is to better understand the Arctic conditions - the glacier, climate change and what is happening over time.
Director Nina Kirchner uses her original knowledge of mathematics to measure and study the glacier, along with fellow researchers specialized in geology, hydrology, glaciology etc.
Stockholm University´s Tarfala station is also a good example of the strength in cooperation and academic international exchange.
