I have a house rule for the room tiles. Ground and upper floor tiles are restricted to a 5x5 grid. The basement can be any shape as long as it doesn't overlap the rest of the house.
Very interesting! Have you found that the house rule (works as a pun in this case, nice) has caused any kind of problem when it comes to finding a certain room that is required to win the haunt?
@@Sirdeathvids I've never had that happen. But If that ever came up what I would do is say that you can take the explore action on any open doorway as normal, but instead of adding a tile to the floor you are on, you add it to a different floor. Since I love to customize my games I might even make extra secret passage (or "portal") tokens to simultaneously mark the doorways as explored and link the two rooms that would normally be on the same floor. Actually now that I said that I think that's exactly what I'm going to do. 😁
Betrayal Legacy doesn't bother with splitting up the players when the haunt starts. Never had an issue because of it and they should have kept that omission for 3rd Ed.
