You are correct. Jesus Genealogy is not in the family of Aaron. That is why it is written " வம்ச வரலாறு இல்லாதவன்" In the book of Ezra we read the priest whose family tree is missing in the Aaronic family were prohibited from priesthood.
Jesus comes by direct selection by God. So He is in the line of Melchizedek, just like the king who met Abraham in the old Testament.
He was a priest as well as a King.
Jesus came in the family of David , both as a King and a priest in the tabernacle in heaven.
So, Jesus is a priest like Melchizedek.
