I’m so happy to see this; I would never have guessed that there was a low-price smaller version. 🙏 Thank-you! (I felt the same about the Husky table, when I realized there were small versions that are still amazing… on wheels, with a hand-crank to raise and lower 🤗)
I'm doing the same thing with a second hand tool cart. however, mine is even smaller and arguably too small. I also have some big drainage pipes I can clip to the side in upright position to stick tripods in. I definitely re use boxes and things like ziplocks, but I don't hoard them. I toss all boxes that aren't a nice compact size to keep stuff in. Mobile phone boxes are usually great too!
I've never been so excited about a tool cabinet! Got one today and can't wait to set up a decent charging station finally. Thanks for the inspo Heather!
Living in the Uk so that’s probably still too big unless out in the country 😇. That aside I do love it! Reminds of a tool draw used to have in a garage. Defo keep boxes, have a loft full! Love how you reuse boxes rather than buying extra plastic, reuse and conserve 👌👍. Anyone else keep bubble wrap????
I keep bubble wrap too! I have a giant box that's full of boxes and shipping supplies, haha! Even in my tiny space it's considered important somehow...
Mate tell me about it. I live in London prob the place with the smallest space to room ratio. Unless you are the 1% and have a country sized house in central.
Yes, Heather, well done b/c the price is right too; it is now on my To-Buy List. You may recall helping me out with my questions RE, as a hobby photographer, how to become a hobby video maker, and I'm inching along in that regard, thank you very kindly. Cue music from The Twilight Zone. 😊 Update: Oops! Just checked your link below to Amazon and the cheapest is $319, not $130. There is one seller for $275 but you have to add $40 for shipping. Something is a-tilt. Home Depot shows it for $129.
Happy to hear this helped you find a good fit for your to-buy list! :D It's true, a good box can do alot of thing! I keep a few incase I need to ship anything oddly shaped. And yes, it was fun to be a part of Gerald's video :D And yes, you can find it on Home Depot cheaper, it's where I did end up getting it. Amazon is not the affordable option it would seem right now for it. :) Hope you can grab one soon!
Heather, On the topic of toolboxes. I bought a Godox 60 light which did not have a case. I bought a "Husky 26 in. Plastic Portable Tool Box with Metal Latch" for $26 at home depot. Currently I am wrapping the light in bubble wrap. I really should make a foam insert but it works. I can put the light, reflector, small softbox and two VILTROX L116T lights in it. All for $26.
was excited about this one until i saw that i already have one lol... one thing i recommend is to put a white carpet at the bottom to see the items better!
Love the storage solution. Very clever! I keep camera and lense boxes. I used to keep other random camera equipment boxes, but got rid of them when I finally ran out of space. Now I am facing the same problem with my lense boxes.
KEEP ALL THE BOXES! Seriously, I have a tall (6ft) Husky locker with the top half dedicated to boxes. Most are kept for either one day when I sell an item or if I need it for warranty purposes.
I immediately throw out. I don't want to be my dad who has a basement full of boxes for no reason. Also I've never cared if things have the box when I buy used. I think it's an excuse. Why would a box increase resell value just because it has a print on the product on the box?
4:10 I do the same with the box that came with my NP-F battery charger. It is PERFECT for all the 970, 770, and 570 batteries I have. The proportions are just right.
You are very creative. I actually thought about using a tool cart to organize gear. now that I've seen one in action I will have to revisit that idea. Yes I keep boxes, after 4 year I start looking for what can be thrown away.
I went with the Milwaukee Packout system. Similar idea but a lot more portable. It's modular too. So I build up 2 boxes with Tungsten lights, 2 with LEDs, one 2-drawer system with audio gear, one with diffusion and bounce, etc. And every module gets labeled. When I need to go on a job, I load the modules I need in the car and roll out. I don't have to go looking for my gear, and I don't have to do any packing. Everything stays ready to go all the time. (And yes I keep my boxes for resale. Or so I tell myself.)
I love that! I'll certainly have to get into that more, the modular system. :D I love good organization, but somehow it struggles to stay that way in a small space.
@@FellowFilmmaker Additionally, If you put the larger wheeled case on the bottom you can roll it anywhere, grass, carpet, etc. They also interlock so when you stack them they lock together. Even if it takes a tumble they don't come apart. Look at their small organizers for small parts. Fantastic for small grip stuff, tape, fasteners, etc. You can turn it upside down and shake it, and everything stays in place. Whole system IP 65 rated so you can leave it out in the rain if necessary. Best of luck, and love your channel!
This is great, thanks for bringing this smaller Husky to my attention. My only thought is I like to keep my cameras and lenses in sealed cases to help with dust/moisture protection. Anyways, about to start building out my own studio space and have been obsessing over what approach I'll take. This was very halpful.
I keep all my boxes just because if I sell them someday maybe it will help me get a better price? Loved this! I don’t have a lot of space and I’ve recently been pushing to get everything organized, so perfect timing!
This got a subscribe!! Been thinking of this as a solution as I know PM uses em….first time I saw it. Seems like a better idea than filling normal draws with stuff all getting banged up
What a great idea! I'm a tool junkie so I have one like that in my garage, but never thought about using one for my studio gear... and YES. I'm a "Box Junkie" too. Not sure why, but I have the boxes for most of my gear, which means I need places for the boxes too. :)
I keep sturdy small and medium boxes to help me organize things. I have two big boxes I toss them into on a high shelf. A lot of times the box a device comes in is either too big or not big enough to contain the device and the other accessories I want to keep with it. Then I will check my box stash. Great video, keep up the good work.
@@FellowFilmmaker They do. That is why I keep them in a large box on the top shelf. I am also somewhat selective choosing boxes that fit with my storage solution which are RIDGID rollaboard toolbox stacks and shelving.
I have the same Husky cart, but in all black with the wood top! Absolutely love it since I'm in a pretty small space too. Yours is much cleaner though!
Great tip. Thought about one, but I've got a closet with shelves, so don't need extra storage out in the office. (Plus I'm always trying to purge and stay semi-minimal lol) I am a big fan of Husky workbenches. I've been using a 6 foot stationary and a 52" wheeled hand-crank height adjustable bench for my edit/workstation. Bought another 6 foot to replace the stand-up desk, which I'll turn into an art table/product/camera setup station instead. It's amazing what you can find searching through a Home Depot/Lowe's/Harbor Freight store. And yeah, I hoard all the boxes also - just for resale down the road. :-)
It's true! I do enjoy walking around the hardware stores myself and finding the things that can be made useful for video work and engineering solutions. :D
I used to keep gear boxes but lately started getting rid of them. I’ve found the resale value isn’t much higher with a box and they just started to take up a ton of room
@@FellowFilmmaker good point, I just use a ton of bubble wrap ha ha. Serious note, you’re making great content, I really appreciate it and hope you keep moving forward. It’s tough at times but please keep at it.
*GURL!!! You just earned a follow from me!! OK....I already ordered cabinet this and LOVED your confirmation video! Hahahaha, Just so you know, it is $149 at Home Depot.*
Boxes... yes. My simple reasoning is that I may sell the product in the future, and it's going to be worth more with original packaging. That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it! I was planning a tool chest drawer system at the office, but went for wire shelves instead, which is proving pretty useful. Using the fabric bins from from Ikea as 'drawers' and different sized parts bins for clamps, cables, monitors, filters, etc.I also have another wire frame shelf setup by the front door where I store flight cases, gear bags, sound blankets, etc... all ready to go in the truck :)
Haha, I think it's an excuse all filmmakers go by. :) The only time I toss a box is if I'm sure to keep the product for good. Or has little resale value. And that's one neat sounding setup you've got going on! Happy it's working for you too
Thank you for sharing this! Had no idea it was so affordable. Looking to try and organize my gear a bit more but need something to fit in a closet but also be small and mobile cause my space is weird. Also make moving easier.
@@FellowFilmmaker now quick questions, what are the wheels like? It would be on hardwood floors and I’ve looked at craftsman and there were complaints about the wheels so I’m hoping the husky wheels are much smoother and safer for hardwoods.
Thanks so much for giving the drawer depths, super useful information. I wish they made this same cart layout in 36"wide but I think this will be my next purchase.
I keep boxes of all my gear. Unless it's really small (sdcards, cables). Whenever I sell stuff it's always complete in box. I even have all boxes and manuals of my PC and PC parts I bought in 2012...
We must be on the same wavelength 😎🤙. I just made a video on my small tool trolley for my gear a week ago. Touched on simialar points as to why I chose a small one to. They are so handy for neat storage!
I built a cubby of sorts for the light stands. I keep the tripod setup since I'm using it often enough. You can see all that in my most recent studio tour on the channel :D
Obsessively keeping boxes is something I carried over from the guitar gear world into camera gear world 😂 but after moving like 6 times in a year I managed to get over that habit
I’ve been meaning to ask you about your tool box after seeing it in a few videos. An excellent idea. Husky boxes are well made and that’s a good size for an apartment. My first roller box was the same size. After 34 years, I still use it. I currently don’t have a organization solution since my wife won’t let me bring a tool box inside the house. Lol. And yes I horde small boxes. Idk why.
Roller cart is great for sure, maybe one day she'll let you have it inside :) I don't think anyone can boil down the real reason we stash boxes. Maybe cuz it's hard to find a box for gear when you need one if you didn't hoard them :)
This is great! Now for the next topic, cable storage. I have hangers and drawers of cables and they always tangle and mix due to me being inherently chaotic. Tried color coding but that turned out to be surprisingly ineffective. I used to be a box hoarder too. You never know when you need to send/store/sell something, right? Plus it gives you a nice overview of all the gear you collected. I stopped doing it as I was running out of space. Now I save boxes until the end of the year, use them to wrap Christmas presents, and then take them out for recycling.
A great idea, gonna get myself one of these. Oh, and I keep all my product boxes, er, just in case, it makes returns a lot easier, should you to need to return something, truth is I love product boxes, esp cell phone boxes! Regards Rob (UK)
Thanks for sharing this. As I put my studio together I have an empty corner that I wasn't sure what I would do with. Tossing one of these in there will come in super handy! Btw I would love to use your affiliate link, but all the ones on Amazon are like $350+! I guess shipping them is prohibitively expensive. If you have any affiliate programs with hardware stores please let us know!
I appreciate that, thank you! I currently don't have one with a hardware store. Mostly because their affiliate programs are a bit of a joke for how they treat the affiliate. I'd much rather just tell folks what to get and let them get it, haha :D So go ahead and buy them wherever you like! Lowe's, HomeDepot, or wherever you have them. You can always use my affiliate links another time :D
Nice! I was looking for something like this, but slightly smaller in over-all bulk, and something I can lift in and out of my car because on-location use is a more common situation for me than in-studio. I got a used (Habitat for Humanity RESTORE) stackable set of toolboxes that have a handle and a couple wheels that can be pulled around like luggage. It's pretty much what I need but I immediately maxed out its capacity. Something like this Husky box may be more the size I need. How do you get it in and out of your vehicle? I don't have an SUV, so being able to manually lift it in and out of my hatchback was a consideration. That is a great sized unit, storage volume-wise.
I haven't really put it in and out of a vehicle since buying it, since its an office piece. But, if I recall, transporting it I laid it down on its back in the back of an SUV.
Definitely a bit of a box hoarder. It for sure ups the resell value as it seems more legit than a floating lens or camera body. My wife is not a big fan of course so I definitely try to keep it down to more of the higher value items.
20% of my closet is original packaging for more expensive gear I own (lenses, cameras, accessories, lights, etc.) juuuuust in case I resell them later... Though most of them are like 5+ years old haha
Ahh…. The mist filter, your videos have that little extra cinematic look that I could never put my finger on. (enjoyed the video, always wondered about that storage unit in your videos)
Every mechanic I know will agree with you. :D I do like your solutions how you Organize your stuff in small boxes. Looks a little bit like my system i have in my gear cupboard. 😁
Home Depot sells Husky, but as of 2/24/2022, Lowe's has a Craftsman equivalent for roughly the same price. Also, yes, I hoard random boxes with no legitimate reason for doing so 😂
I've been using 2 of the Husky adjustable hand crank tables/desks. Just picked a second one up that has 2 draws built in. They are perfect for the studio or for an up desk. I passed on getting this exact one because I am on the second floor and I was worried about weight and how to get it up the stairs. :)
@@FellowFilmmaker Might just hit Ikea for something simple, and I just found the Strobepro Wheeled Kit Bag. It's actually even more expensive than the cabinet but incredibly well built - plus they're in my city. I do more location work than studio, but still have a million pieces of kit/bits and baubles that don't come with me that have taken over a spare desk in my newsroom like tribbles.
I’ve got one like this too. It’s excellent. My drawers are a mixture and some very small ones too. I have another chest of drawers with leads oh so many leads on. So yes it’s great and I have a battery charging board for all my batteries. Great to watch this and watch more of your work. Also Have you managed to charge a ml60 light with a vmkunt battery ? As of like to know. Great to see another female film video maker like myself in here. I need to get in front of the camera but it’s hard. And yes to boxes. Keep them all as end up selling gear later on. You know what else I use is a hairdressers makeup trolly box. For more gear. It’s black and on wheels and kinda matches this but is a smaller version of this to be honest. I do feel I need to slim down my stuff though
That's awesome! There are so many tool carts out there. I have not charged ml60 with v-mount at this time, no. Between gear and boxes space sure does get tight, right?
I’m just starting out photography /videography I’m collecting gear as I go and this is wayyyy better then those big husky ones plus I have a tiny place so it will fit oh ps I actually live down the road from cape cod chips factory I’ll send you a bigggg box of chips lol thanks for the vid
I admit .... i am a hoarder 😂😂 i keep the boxes because of the vintage feeling with some old lenses i have and i find usage to store other things. Its a pro lem when it becomes one too many 😅
I hoard boxes. I worked at Apple. I always sold my old Apple products and they were more valuable if I had the box. I assumed it would be the same for camera gear but I don’t really know lol.
Im actually looking at thus exact Husky Cart you have for storing my camera gear. Do you happen to know the internal dimensions of the deeper drawers as I can only find the external dimensions everywhere because everywhere Ive gone there have been none in stock / shop model to measure, Thanks :D
I’m a box hoarder too. But I only keep the boxes my lenses and cameras came in so I can sell them at some point. It doesn’t add value but to me it does lol. We are all neurotic I guess.
Can you show your studio behind camera, so we can see the space around and size. I create in my small basement room in my house where I have my day job home office for the last 2 years (COVID) / UA-cam “studio” and guest room. Every time I finish a video I have to clean up everything 😱 time consuming 👎
@@FellowFilmmaker Cool I am looking forward to see that. I think it’s fun to see how others solve their studios. I only have 2,5 x 4 meters. 😱 incl. a 1,5 size bed leaving me with 2,2 meters left of the 4 meters for a desktop, cabinet and setting up gear for video
I see it's a bit of a small space! It looks like you've tried a variety of solutions to get the most out of it as well. Have you found any particular setup to be the best solution or a better/easier setup? Feel free to email me if you like to continue this chat since it's hard for me to go back through and find replies! :D
Good info! I was wondering though, has anyone found a certain handheld toolbox to be useful for film gear? I keep electronics boxes in case I need to return something, or if I need the warranty info!
I've not tried handled toolboxes. I've done handled plastic bin things from Walmart and really they don't work well for gear. :) Trueeee, warranty is helpful for sure
I bought one of these, pre-assembled. It took me an hour to get it into my car--I had to take the wheels and handles off. Fortunately, I was right outside a home depot, a great source of wrenches and screwdrivers. Please note that the manual inside the tool cart contains incorrect size information for the bolts connecting things together. That was really annoying, and doubled the back and forth trips into the store.
@@FellowFilmmaker I didn't mean to sound that negative :-). More of a learning experience. It was still definitely worth the money invested. And mine was on sale for $109 when I bought it, so even with the extra tool purchases I technically got a better deal than you listed. Assuming I count my time at $7.50 per hour or less, anyway. HarborFreight is another place to look for tool carts. They are always running 20% or 25% off a single item coupons, which can bring things down further. They don't have anything that quite matches the husky cart deal, though.
I am a box hoarder because this studio apartment that I have lived in since 2009 is only TEMPORARY and ONE day I will have to move and I will need those boxes.
Thanks for you video. Great tips. Unfortunately I think your video made the price go up. Your Amazon links cheapest price is now $275+tax & $41shipping. Box hoarder here. All the gear I've bought online over the past 3-4 years. Always think about getting rid of them but haven't yet.
I’m so happy to see this; I would never have guessed that there was a low-price smaller version. 🙏 Thank-you!

For me the only value of keeping a box, is the shipping box because some items are so custom fit
@@FellowFilmmaker good point, I just use a ton of bubble wrap ha ha. Serious note, you’re making great content, I really appreciate it and hope you keep moving forward. It’s tough at times but please keep at it.
Thank you very kindly :D
*GURL!!! You just earned a follow from me!! OK....I already ordered cabinet this and LOVED your confirmation video! Hahahaha, Just so you know, it is $149 at Home Depot.*
Very happy to hear that and have you on as a follower 😁
Boxes...
Glad I could help!
Glad it was helpful!
I keep boxes of all my gear. Unless it's really small (sdcards, cables). Whenever I sell stuff it's always complete in box. I even have all boxes and manuals of my PC and PC parts I bought in 2012...
Wow, that is some dedication! I typically toss manuals unless it's important like cameras or something
Great content with helpful tips on how to properly store your photography gear
Thanks for watching! And glad you found it helpful :D
We must be on the same wavelength 😎🤙. I just made a video on my small tool trolley for my gear a week ago. Touched on simialar points as to why I chose a small one to.
They are so handy for neat storage!
Haha that's funny :D
Hmmm… I’ve been thinking of changing my in office storage cabinet. Not sure about the wheels on carpet though?
Works great for me! :D They are on carpet some of the time, but mainly on hardfloor
Definitely what I need .. affordable and super useful 👍 oh and about the boxes you’re right and I don’t know why I keep them 😅
Glad it was helpful! Haha, the age old filmmaking problem of boxes
Awesome set up. Where do you keep Tripods, C-Stands, light stands and those 'big' items?
I built a cubby of sorts for the light stands. I keep the tripod setup since I'm using it often enough. You can see all that in my most recent studio tour on the channel :D
Obsessively keeping boxes is something I carried over from the guitar gear world into camera gear world 😂 but after moving like 6 times in a year I managed to get over that habit
Haha I feel that it comes and goes
I’ve been meaning to ask you about your tool box after seeing it in a few videos. An excellent idea. Husky boxes are well made and that’s a good size for an apartment. My first roller box was the same size. After 34 years, I still use it. I currently don’t have a organization solution since my wife won’t let me bring a tool box inside the house. Lol. And yes I horde small boxes. Idk why.
Roller cart is great for sure, maybe one day she'll let you have it inside :)
I don't think anyone can boil down the real reason we stash boxes.
That's a good idea, for wrapping :) I've used my gear boxes for all sorts of things. Storage, gifts, etc.
This is the awesome-est info yet! Inspired to re-build my small cupboard!
You should! It's really helpful to redo a space, makes it feel new and ready for action :D
@@FellowFilmmaker Will do. Being able to build it myself saves a lot and I get to update to suit my workflow also. Thanks.
Do I have a bunch of product boxes...... yup 😬 haha
Love the smaller rolling workbench for organization, you may have convinced me to finally get one!
You should! They prove very handy
A great idea, gonna get myself one of these. Oh, and I keep all my product boxes, er, just in case, it makes returns a lot easier, should you to need to return something, truth is I love product boxes, esp cell phone boxes!
Regards Rob (UK)
Hey Rob, glad I could help you out! :D I use my gear chest all the time and love it
And yes, keep the boxes you know you'll return or resell
Now I want to get 3 of them. Nice find Heather!
You should! I was going to say you could almost stack them, but the lip on the top of the unit makes it so you couldn't without powertools and hassle
Yeah, same, gotta keep it minimal if possible
20% of my closet is original packaging for more expensive gear I own (lenses, cameras, accessories, lights, etc.) juuuuust in case I resell them later... Though most of them are like 5+ years old haha
Haha yeah, it's hard to get rid of the boxes
Ahh…. The mist filter, your videos have that little extra cinematic look that I could never put my finger on. (enjoyed the video, always wondered about that storage unit in your videos)
Yep, giving out my secrets left and right :)
Every mechanic I know will agree with you. :D
I do like your solutions how you Organize your stuff in small boxes. Looks a little bit like my system i have in my gear cupboard. 😁
Haha, yeah, gotta make use of the materials I've got here :D
I enjoy your content - keep up the good work! 🙌🏼
Thank you! Will do!
Love your videos, I always get something out of them
I'm so glad!
100% a box hoarder. I have boxes for ever camera, lens, filter, camera monitor and more. It’s a sickness really 😂😂
Sickness with no cure.... :D
Home Depot sells Husky, but as of 2/24/2022, Lowe's has a Craftsman equivalent for roughly the same price.
Also, yes, I hoard random boxes with no legitimate reason for doing so 😂
That's great! :D I did see alot of variations when I was looking, I liked this one for the amount and depth of the drawers :)
I am a gear box hoarder. Might sell it one day and definitely want to include the box.
For sure, it does help
The alternate name of this channel is Film Snacks.
Haha! Not a bad idea :D
Fellow box hoarder here, for all the reasons you said lollll.
New UA-cam channel??? Fellow BoxHoarder
Hey, not a bad idea! :D
I've been using 2 of the Husky adjustable hand crank tables/desks. Just picked a second one up that has 2 draws built in. They are perfect for the studio or for an up desk. I passed on getting this exact one because I am on the second floor and I was worried about weight and how to get it up the stairs. :)
That's a clever idea!
Now these are over $300 😢
That's too bad! Maybe it'll come down. If you have a Home Depot, you can go in store and get them cheaper.
Best solution. Thank you for this
You are most welcome
Nice! I use a couple of small rolling kitchen islands. They don’t store as much as your tool chest I’m sure.
Interesting, would not have considered that :)
@@FellowFilmmaker Now I just need to figure out how to organize my plethora of light stands 🤨
Me too, currently they just all pile together in a corner, not really helpful!
Thanks for another good video. Considering storage solutions right now and this looks like a good'er. Sadly it's about twice the cost in Canada.
That's too bad that it's so much more there! Maybe there is an alternative?
@@FellowFilmmaker Might just hit Ikea for something simple, and I just found the Strobepro Wheeled Kit Bag. It's actually even more expensive than the cabinet but incredibly well built - plus they're in my city. I do more location work than studio, but still have a million pieces of kit/bits and baubles that don't come with me that have taken over a spare desk in my newsroom like tribbles.
i disliked because of eating sound, not for content, i really liked the content, one of the best channels on youtube.
Great video as always!!
Glad you enjoyed!
I need this!
Maybe you can find one near you? It really has been a game changer for me. :D Keeps me from tripping over so many things haha
Another top video, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m just starting out photography /videography I’m collecting gear as I go and this is wayyyy better then those big husky ones plus I have a tiny place so it will fit oh ps I actually live down the road from cape cod chips factory I’ll send you a bigggg box of chips lol thanks for the vid
Most welcome!
I do love chips, haha :D
super cool you live near the factory, ever take a tour?
Nice vid, i also keep the boxes from any purchases.
Thanks
And yeah, it's a bad habit
If you had to pick one which CineBloom Diffusion Filter would you use? 5% 10% 20%
Tough one. I use 10% all the time, but the 5% is more subtle. So others might like the 5%, I like the 10% most of the time (20 is a bit much)
Thank you so much not a bad idea at all lots great
You’re welcome 😊 Thanks for commenting and watching
@@FellowFilmmaker My pleasure
There was an intervention at my house because I was hording sooooo many boxes. :/
Haha yessss
I once had to help a fellow filmmaker do that too, they literally had an entire closet filled
I admit .... i am a hoarder 😂😂 i keep the boxes because of the vintage feeling with some old lenses i have and i find usage to store other things. Its a pro lem when it becomes one too many 😅
Aren't we all? :D
I hoard boxes. I worked at Apple. I always sold my old Apple products and they were more valuable if I had the box. I assumed it would be the same for camera gear but I don’t really know lol.
Lol don't we all hoard em
They do help a bit with driving more trust in purchase of used gear I'd say
Im actually looking at thus exact Husky Cart you have for storing my camera gear. Do you happen to know the internal dimensions of the deeper drawers as I can only find the external dimensions everywhere because everywhere Ive gone there have been none in stock / shop model to measure, Thanks :D
Sure. Deeper ones are 6 inches internally depth
@@FellowFilmmaker Are they still 26x18 internal as well or would they be a touch smaller?
Internally is 22X17 inches
@@FellowFilmmaker perfect thank you so much 😁
Happy to help
I’m a box hoarder too. But I only keep the boxes my lenses and cameras came in so I can sell them at some point. It doesn’t add value but to me it does lol. We are all neurotic I guess.
Haha, true, we all have that quirk thing we do
Can you show your studio behind camera, so we can see the space around and size.
I create in my small basement room in my house where I have my day job home office for the last 2 years (COVID) / UA-cam “studio” and guest room. Every time I finish a video I have to clean up everything 😱 time consuming 👎
I'll try to do that next time I do a video about the studio :D
How big is your space?
@@FellowFilmmaker
Cool I am looking forward to see that. I think it’s fun to see how others solve their studios.
I only have 2,5 x 4 meters. 😱 incl. a 1,5 size bed leaving me with 2,2 meters left of the 4 meters for a desktop, cabinet and setting up gear for video
@@FellowFilmmaker
You could also try to see my video of Peter Lindgreen giveaway entry to see the space

Trueeee, warranty is helpful for sure
@@FellowFilmmaker hmm, gotcha
I bought one of these, pre-assembled. It took me an hour to get it into my car--I had to take the wheels and handles off. Fortunately, I was right outside a home depot, a great source of wrenches and screwdrivers.
Please note that the manual inside the tool cart contains incorrect size information for the bolts connecting things together. That was really annoying, and doubled the back and forth trips into the store.
That sounds a bit annoying, sorry you had that experience
@@FellowFilmmaker I didn't mean to sound that negative :-). More of a learning experience. It was still definitely worth the money invested. And mine was on sale for $109 when I bought it, so even with the extra tool purchases I technically got a better deal than you listed. Assuming I count my time at $7.50 per hour or less, anyway.
HarborFreight is another place to look for tool carts. They are always running 20% or 25% off a single item coupons, which can bring things down further. They don't have anything that quite matches the husky cart deal, though.
Brilliant idea!
Thanks!
That Husky box is over 300.00 now, you got a great deal. And boxes? Don’t get me started. I’m ashamed of my box hoarding.
I know, right! I see it on Home Depot for the price I paid.
The box hoarding is a real thing :)
@@FellowFilmmaker I found it on Amazon at the price mentioned, didn’t think to look at Home Despot
Well, might be worth the look if you didn't buy it yet
@@FellowFilmmaker Dude, if it’s the same one as yours, it’s 129.00 on the website.

Great Vid 💯
Thank you!
Do I need the gh4 box? Maybe. It's been over a decade but you never know, I might still sell it. LOL
I have a whole shelf specifically to house all my old boxes for my old gear...
When you opened the top drawer I thought that wooden tripod was nunchuks LOL
Haha! Thats funny
I am a box hoarder because this studio apartment that I have lived in since 2009 is only TEMPORARY and ONE day I will have to move and I will need those boxes.
lol quite relatable
Do you teach for tomorrow's filmmakers?
I do not, no.
Just have a few videos in there from a few years ago since the owner wanted a few bits on what I teach on - product video
What about moisture control?
OMG I love that!
happy to hear that
Where did you bought it for that price? I mean it's around $300 on Amazon sadly.
I bought it at Home Depot
Thanks for you video. Great tips. Unfortunately I think your video made the price go up. Your Amazon links cheapest price is now $275+tax & $41shipping. Box hoarder here. All the gear I've bought online over the past 3-4 years. Always think about getting rid of them but haven't yet.
Well goodness, crazy high! On Home Depot it's the right price I guess. Maybe Husky themselves sell it?
you should have a bonfire it sounds like :D
