What the actual fuck happened with the MS Paint section
Cactus, I don’t want a heart, I want an answer. I think I dropped acid too early.
who the hell let the color purple in the internet
Goddamn it Cactus

The color wheel gates broke.
And before it did, the Red and the Blue were separated due to extreme lengths of breeding sessions.
Then the gates broke, they got back together and they just [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REDACTED] and there was blood EVERYWHERE, and that’s how they made me.

This album was reissued on 8-track as part of an April Fool's joke a few years ago and the only copies that got made were whoever ordered one. I think it's in the single digits. The crown jewel of my collection.
The children screaming in this song walked so that Hello Kitty Suicide Club could... well not quite run, but definitely scream
"Intellectual content" was on both the MOST and LEAST wanted lists, thus Wittgenstein is mentioned in both songs.
The most unwanted music has some of the unironic hardest sections in music, those guys tried things nobody else dared to
I once bought this book titled Music, Math, And Mind by a neuroscientist and musician called David Sulzer. Between chapters, the book has these "listening" sections where the guy recommends music, mostly super-outlandish avantgarde stuff, some of which he took part in creating. Imagine how I felt when in one of these paragraphs he starts describing a project he co-created, that I almost immediately recognized as this album. That was when I learned that this David Sulzer, whose book I bought on a whim, is also Dave Soldier, the mad genius behind The Most Unwanted Song.
The Most Unwanted song is one of the most incredible pieces of music I've ever heard. Not only is it fun, creative, and well-executed, it's also profound in a way.
I dunno whether that was part of the artistic intent behind this project, but I think this album is a testament to the notion, that by trying to please anyone, you'll probably create the blandest, most forgettable pieces of art, but by intentionally going against conventions, or maybe even your own intuition, you might just discover something truly unique and memorable, that will just stick with people, even if they hate it.
I remember seeing an interview with Mr Weebl (the legend behind old school flash classics like Narhwals, Badger Badger, and Look At My Horse), where he said something along the lines of "The worst reaction you could have to anything is 'meh'... I'd rather be Marmite".
This book sounds cool, I’m gonna look for it at wal mart.
I thought this was a joke when I first heard this song YEARS ago. The holiday jingles hurt at first but I get so excited when they shout about Walmart because I know it’s coming.
Why does the most unwanted song sound like something Brian Wilson would experiment with during the Smile Sessions?
Cabinessence
I have no idea why but the “….. AT WALMART!!!” bits crack me up every time.
How is that not a meme.
Needlejuice did a great job with the vinyl reissue of this a few years ago, I even got my hands on a test pressing
Needlejuice is GOAT I didn't even know they reissued this until my video research and I was so happy to support them again!
I kinda love how The Most Wanted Song comes off as extremely dated and forgettable while The Most Unwanted Song is just… the most GLORIOUS thing to witness. It’s awful but in the best way and it just. Keeps. On. Going.
I want this record. That unwanted song is a MASTERPIECE
Literally one of your best. Stuff like this is why I’m subscribed, to hear crazy projects I would never had heard otherwise. What an absurdly brilliant concept!

Hi Renato,
Thanks so much for listening! It means a lot :)
I’ve got some more stuff coming out this year, so be on the lookout.

@@oddlyginger1435 !! I recommended you to Alfo Media. You are #9 on his new video. Check it out!
That song is so unwanted, I can feel the noise coming inside of me
I nearly had a stroke during the Viper fisticuffs anecdote
I've been waiting for this episode for probably close to three years. This is a blessed day indeed.
Talking about a relaxing break in the middle of a song before loud abrasive noise at around 23:40 reminds me of Flash Gordon's Ape by Beefheart. If you haven't heard that one yet you're in for a treat.
Personally, for most wanted song from this channel I would have picked Y'all Cowards... by Viper. I learned about him here and have been listening to him ever since.
"That's the kind of mindset of a Target shopper. And you, my friend, can go to HELL"
Words to live by :)
The way the percussion on the least wanted song sounded like Casiotone beats was incredibly funny as well
Viper the Rapper not knowing the meaning of "stop' hitting real different now.
This album feels like a 90's Point and Click game,
Also, the Cirque du Soleil connection is pretty cool.
Great channel and vid! I came across it by accident a few weeks ago. I have some suggestions for you; Like Flies on Sherbet by Alex Chilton, Music to Eat by the Hampton Grease Band, and An Evening With Wild Man Fischer by well....Wild Man Fischer. Lol
*EDIT* I see someone has mentioned An Evening With Wild Man Fischer in the comments of another vid! Glad to see that. I also forgot to recommend Songs For Swinging Larvae by Renaldo and the Loaf!
i actually really love Music to Eat. I'd love to hear Cactus give his take on it.
If you like The Most Unwanted Song, check out Don Salsa's Koolaide Moustache in Jonestown. the first track has a very similar vibe with more metal influence.
The glockenspiel part is the most Frank Zappa sounding thing I’ve ever heard I love it
This is one of my favorite songs. I simply CANNOT refrain from laughing every time I listen to it :D
I have a group of friends with which we listen to it every time we party. There's always some guy that doesn't know it yet, it's epic to see the reactions
Wonderful. I had no idea the two artists were Russian radicals. Thanks for this indepth analysis of this wonderful, wonderful song.
I'm still waiting for Garrett's take on Metallica's St. Anger 😅
You are an absolute delight garret thank you for giving these works of art to the internet you are the best
Keep making this shit it’s amazing
I've craved you covering this for the longest time. Thank you so much!
This could probably be the end credit song for fhe game "The Adventures of Ninja Nanny & Sherrloch Sheltie: No. 11 Downing Street".
Had a great time being featured on this episode!
Keep up the great work, Garrett!
I'm glad you clarify who they are because there's another funk band with the same name "The People's Choice" is an all African American funk band which by the way the guitarist of that group is my real life uncle"Johnnie Andrews". This group puts me in mind of electro jazz artist "Gary Wilson". It's wacky, but this group album makes great hip hop samples.....

Viper VS Garrett for the next Wrestlemania.
Oh 100% he would kick my ass
@@CactusMalpractice get your courage up and smoke some crack
New to this channel. Always down to find more weird, obscure music and this is one I'd not heard of. This is also the funniest video of yours I've seen so far. Subscribed and I will be recommending this to others. Good stuff man.
It's the best day! A new episode of TWAEM!
Can I leave my request for the wheel of W.A.E.M.??? I was thinking about "Himothy by Antonio Brown" could be added.
lovely lil video! funny to get a guest on, also, lil question too, is there a discord server yet or in its creation?
You have to listen to Golden Feelings or Stereopathic Soulmanure by Beck. Before Beck made any record that was released under a label, he made experimental, strange music from recordings of live performances. It’s very grainy, oddly recorded, and mysterious. They are both very good contenders for worst album ever.
I would love to see you do a review on some of Boredoms albums more specifically, Pop Tatari, Rebore vol.1 or Rebore vol.2
idk what the criteria is for albums on here, but id check out Neutral Milk Hotel's "Invent Yourself a Shortcake". not usually considered as a studio album, as its one of many tapes Jeff threw together in NMH's formative years. not on streaming services, but it is on youtube and other places probably. no one knows of a physical copy though one surely does exist.
most of it is nonsense, almost scary at times, with a few actual songs thrown in throughout.

More excited about new WAEM than the Grammys.
Thanks for a splendidly entertainging half hour or so and for introducing me to something wonderful.
I've been binging your content recently and I think you're one of my favorite reviewers on UA-cam--you have an incredibly functional ability to describe what you're experiencing with visual metaphor, and it really helps understand and appreciate some of the weirder stuff you've listened to. My only major critique would be that sometimes your criticism is a little overly flippant in service of being funny, where I'd prefer the more earnest analysis and giving each song and album the genuine chance that you give others.
This was a very unique episode
I remember them playing a clip from this on the news
walmart ramadan... i just about passed out there... i'm serously crying over here... i need this in my life... I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!
Was that Jim Gaffigan at 1:52?
I was actually listening to this album after seeing your video, and honestly, I couldn't agree with you more. I like how hilarious the Most Unwanted Song sounded, as it felt like all 23 sections of it tell a whole different tale.
These videos are so good dude your channel is awesome
Hey I don’t know if you take suggestions but if you want a truly painful experience I recommend “Frick The System”, a recent album by obscure prog/experimental rock act BAGBOI MUFFIN.
New sub to this channel and I am absolutely hooked on this series
I haven’t been this hyped for something since the force awakens
Props for your guests Master and Margarita coffee cup. Appropriate for the occasion.
15:03 what Yasunori Mitsuda - Frog's Theme sounds like as you are overdosing on the devil's trumpets
oh my god you’re a fucking hero for the community tab bit commitment
My favourite part is that the opera cowboy character is a lesbian
🏳️🌈😎🏳️🌈😎
For some reason, I get the feeling I've heard this album before, did they ever play one of the songs on the radio?
Love ur videos Cactus Malpractice. U da man
Who knew holidays were the way to insanity?
Fun fact: this video was uploaded on my 19th birthday. Great timing, Garrett.
All that aside tho, this was probably the funniest thing I've gotten to see.
Would you be willing to review, “Orgasm” by Cromagnon (1969) one day? @Cactus Malpractice
I was LITERALLY just thinking about this album yesterday. Wild.
good video. might i suggest some albums that could be done for this show: rebirth by lil wayne is lil wayne trying to do a rock album, and "noise grind power death" is an album by insect warfare that you just have to listen to to understand
Mmmm... that's more of a "maxi-single", really. And compared to this next suggestion, actually pleasant!
My first (I have so MANY) suggestion for this wonderfully-misguided ongoing project is this: The Godz, "Contact High With the Godz" (1966).
There are NO amplified instruments. The budget for it probably wouldn't even buy a White Castle slider. The bass player (as proudly noted in the liner notes) has NEVER played bass before. But most impressively, on several occasions I've had people go off with noise complaints...over a TOTALLY ACOUSTIC album... when getting to the second track. As you shall soon see; use the 9 track playlist by ahones, as it preserves the original ESP-Disk track order. Not that that's too important, as the whole goddamn thing is beyond any sort of "fixing".
In short, this is going to hurt...and not a little bit, either!
im begging you to check out Deerhoof's first album Dirt Pirate Creed!! i dont wanna spoil anything but theres only like one actual song and the rest is practically unlistenable. its out of print but the whole album was uploaded to youtube recently
you mean to tell me the finale of the album is a tribute to brian wilson's SMiLE ???
This is beautiful.
Sonichu Plots be like: 15:16
I'm glad you put her song at the end, because I'm a fan now
Cant forget Tones And I’s Welcome To The Madhouse.
please review viper's maybe one day youll see me again. it is one of the highest rated cloud rap albums on rateyourmusic and its an incredible world of an album (its his magnum opus) however im almost certain the majority of people who would give it a listen would probably find it incredibly sloppy. it would make the perfect "worst album ever made" episode, perhaps you could give viper one more chance?
A few album suggestions for ya
The Great In The Small by Current 93
Pullhair Ribeye by Avery Tare and Kristin Anna
Invent Yourself a shortcake by neutral milk hotel
holy crap what a journey 🤘
The Board of Shame is MISSING?!? Also the closing song is a banger
Best thing I've heard all year. GLORIOUS!
Nutella is popular and so do French Fries. However you can't spread nutella in your fries like mustard
Thats a Great Video.
I was laughing a lot 🤣
Were can i request a Album.
I got one. That for sure is the worst
Had to pause midway through the video and collect myself I was laughing so hard. Man alive what a crazy song
Angelic 2 the Core(y)
To be fair, some of those baselines slap.
15:14 😳😲🤣😂🤣😂WHAT IS HAPPENING!?
AT WALMART!!!!!
I say this in my head every time I go to a Walmart. Because I’m strange. 😆
Also I like the mid 90s music….
The audio desyncs somewhere around 22:00 :/
False alarm, sorta. It's fine on my phone, but continuously happens on my Chromecast. Weird.
Delightful. There's no better word
Kenny G, Michael Bolton, and Taylor Dayne made one of the songs of all time.
Imagine knowing whether or not you'd like a song (at least in a genre that you already listen to) after listening it for only 5 seconds.
For me it's like, at least a couple minutes.
I agree. I might have a feeling about the song after 5 seconds, but I always give them until the chorus to really decide if it's something I want to hear again.
You should check out Steve rodens forms of paper
Sorry
Why do you have a Scotland flag on your buzzer/button. I'm Scottish so just curious.
WOW it does look just like the Scottish flag!!! This was just a game show buzzer I bought from Amazon it's supposed to be a big X. This really shows the importance of picking the right colors for your product lmao!
@@CactusMalpractice With all the bagpipes in this episode it was well placed.
A few of my reccomendations have to be:
Speedin Bullet 2 Heaven by Kid Cudi (horrible attempt at bringing back grunge music complete with beavis and butthead skits)
And maybe The Big Day by Chance The Rapper (cringe rap album that’s very bad)
Definetaly Mother Of All by Green Day as well.
Probably comment more reccomendations if I have any.
You're so underrated!
worst ever makes me miss frank zappa, god rest his soul
HE JUST CANT MISS
