There are dangers with Bamboo too. It is good but wild. There are two ways of propagation Horizontal and Vertical. Make sure when you are putting it at home, you need to have vertical propagation. Do not use horizontal propagation. It will grow wild. If you put it in back yard, you will see the shoots in front yard also. UK is facing problem with horizontal propagation variety. People put them without knowing the propagation types. Bamboo shoots came up in Kitchen, bedroom, Garage etc. Make sure the type of propagation before putting bamboo. Putting is easy. But removal is very difficult.

Only propaganda video no real use to farmers econamically. As per video per acre yield id Rs3000 per ton. In four years the yield is 10tons × 3000= Rs 30000. Annual income is Rs7500/= per acre. What is the use for farmers with that low income. How they can sustain thier lives.
