  • At the heart of the relationship and this story is a conversation that Jennie Hutchinson had with Kim Collard, founder of Kulbardi, which led to the very first order ever received by the company.
A decade later, it now has a workforce of around 40 and a national footprint supplying blue chip companies in the private sector and large government agencies across Australia. The growth and success of Kulbardi has also led to greater things.
Today, Kulbardi has donated more than $1 million towards development and education/career opportunities within Aboriginal communities through their social enterprise the Bibbulmun fund.
Through scholarships, work-ready programs, reclaiming culture and language courses, leadership programs, youth diversionary programs and more, the Bibbulmun fund is leaving a positive legacy for generations to come.
The picking slip of that very first order with Svitzer is framed and remains pride of place in the Kulbardi boardroom among the many other awards Kulbardi and Bibbulmun have earned.
Svitzer's Indigenous Engagement Strategy signifies our commitment to improving the outcomes and ensuring the acknowledgement of the Indigenous communities and lands in which our company operates upon.
It has four target pillars: employment & training, procurement, inclusion and social investment. It is a pleasure to work with Kulbardi and we look forward to another ten years of close work together and beyond.
