    I'll be honest my man, you lost me once you were questioning the AD trade in any sense. The rumor has it is the Pelicans wanted every young player before they fired the gm and had him replaced, which led the Lakers to keep Kuzma out of the trade. Ingram is a solid player, but hes no AD. Lonzo's career looks like its over (I still love Zo and hope he can get back on the court). Hart is a role player, so youre willing to sacrifice role players when the other team is asking for the whole house and the kitchen sink. Credit to the Pelicans tho, they have used some of these pieces to pick up herb jones in a trade, and an aging mccollum whos a solid player but not a winning basketball player. Overall the Lakers clear the Pelicans in this trade, but the Pels have done good with what they got.

    Quantifying LeGM as a failure is a bit absurd imo, as his Cavs teams went to four straight finals upon his arrival. Was the idea of an Amar’e trade in 2009 foolish? Perhaps, but he was available and comparatively cheap to acquire, even with the hindsight that he was going to flame out. The AD trade costing as much as it did was absolutely due to the Pelicans detesting the Lakers’ attempt to tamper and less to do with LeBron. Bron’s only major errors as GM are the Russ trade and the pressure to fire Spo in Miami, the latter of which didn’t even happen. Otherwise, his record has been pretty great and he can always bank on his own talent to carry if his trades are less than optimal.

    Dude, this is a miss. You can argue that 2023 was the best year that the actual GM of the team did the best job they could’ve. Lebron spent his first 7 years continuously being let down by the people that get PAID to do the supposed job that Lebron was doing. There were numerous times where Jordan was denied the move he wanted. You’re acting like Lebron is the one signing the contracts for the players joining the teams. Let’s look at what the players you said that were affected did in the following years after the move. Lonzo- a decent 3&D guard. BI- a worse KD. Kuz- a decent 3rd option to championship team but inconsistent. Wiggins- slightly better than Kuz but inconsistent. The cavs haven’t won since lebron left, the heat haven’t won since lebron left, the pelicans weren’t and still aren’t close to winning a title. The Lakers are currently 2 whole seasons from “LeGM” winning a championship. Stop it. Y’all make videos about everything saying nothing

    Lakers were never winning a championship w/ Lonzo, Ingram, and Hart. When has any of those players made it past the first round? Two of them have been relatively unplayable because of their injuries, Ball way more than Ingram. Josh Hart is a nice piece, but he's not gonna move the needle. Lakers would've never gotten anywhere near the Finals. You won a recent chip with AD and might still have a chance again this year, so no that move was the right one to make. This is my first time commenting on a UA-cam video ever. I agree with a lot of your takes and respect you as a creator but this is one of the worst tales I’ve ever seen. In hindsight, how is the AD trade reckless? If we’re looking purely from hindsight right now, Lonzo’s career looks pretty much over, kuzma is honesty pretty bad if you watch him play, Josh hart is pretty average of a player, and BI is good, but he doesn’t fit with lebron or this lakers team. If we look purely from HINDSIGHT, the lakers have a ring, and are in the western conference finals right now, pushing for another ring. BI on the pelicans also can’t be successful without Zion, leading me to believe they won’t have success unless he’s healthy. The lakers 1000000% won this trade, one of the biggest trades in the nba in the last decade, and has further solidified lebron’s legacy of being a top 2 player ever.

  • @Sai4651
    @Sai4651 11 місяців тому

    I disagree
    If the Cavs traded for Stoudomire, then they would have been able to resign LeBron, and the assets they hypothetically would have given up to get him were nothing. Even thought we in the future know that Stoudamire would have gotten hurt, it would have led to LeBron resigning. The Cavs were content with never winning a championship as long as LeBron as there and so LeBron rightfully left.
    As for Miami, yes he had little to no general manager control and he wouldn't have because he tried to get Erik Spolestra fired and Pat Riley said no.
    His 2nd stint in Cleveland, Andrew Wiggins was a bust and Kevin Love helped them win a championship. I know Wiggins would turn into a good starter 9 years later, but a good 3&D wing isn't worth arguably one of the greatest championships in NBA History.
    Also, the players that LA lost in exchange for Davis weren't as good as we think they were. Lonzo eventually got hurt (prayers to him), Ingram is good, but he's injury prone and nowhere near as good as AD, and Josh Hart is just a good role player. The draft picks hurt, but they got Anthony Davis and they won a championship as a result.
    Only mistake LeBron made as LeGM was Westbrook

LeBron then sits. 7.00 LeBron enters game with Lakers down by 5 points. 6.00 LeBron misses another 3-pointer, LeBron is so tired on defense...Nuggets lead expands to 10. It's tough to say but I think that Lebron playing the GM does have some negatives, but I think what could have been done better was looking at the bad trades that Leborn has done. For instance, the Westbrook deal. If I remember correctly, Lebron was pushing for Westbrook to be traded to the Lakers and that did not turn out well. Another might be the early 2018 Cavs with D-Rose, Dwayne Wade, and all those old guys. I'm sure Lebron asked for those players and thought it would work out when it didn't. That year was only saved because of the trade deadline and lebron going Nuclear in the playoffs.
