    Awesome 👏🏽Rage! I’ve always wondered about the freewing model. I’ve got the FMS 80 waiting to be maidened. Thanks for sharing she looks fast and stable!

      Yeah that FMS one looks awesome! I'm sure it's even better with that 80mm edf!

      Idk ? I gotta find a gps like you did & compare our notes. The 80edf’s in general seem to have good power but some 70’s have fantastic top speed.

    At last a decent honest review, like your style buddy. Excellent video great camera work, when someone admits that they have already had a Tree incursion, I am on your side. Looking forward to your next video.

      @@RaGeRC Can I ask, what is the length of your grass strip? and with takeoff flaps what distance do you use up?

    • @RaGeRC
      @RaGeRC  9 місяців тому +1

      @terryakers2438 Our grass strip is about 400 ft. This BAE Hawk really doesn't take much to take off. It's definitely up in less than 100ft I'd say.

    I'm tempted buy another one and leave it in the box. I have dozens of EDF's and NOTHING else flies so perfectly as this one, love, love, love it! Eventually everything get's discontinued. Thing about the FMS one, the dimensions are almost exactly the same, I've seen plenty of them fly and they don't seem any faster than the F.W. Bonus is- the lights on the F.W kind of suck, and the FMS lights are killer. So, basically $130 more for great lights, and maybe the retracts are better.

      It is such an awesome plane! That's why I had to get another one after the tree incident haha. Spoiler alert after about a month the one in the tree came down and in decent condition and get this everything still works with the exception of one retract! I replaced it and flew it again! I'll have a video on that one soon! So now I have 2 of them and I did take it apart and put it back in the box as a back up .

      Fms Hawk 80mm is a +130mph jet. One of the quickest and best power to weight ratio 80s u can get.

    Great Maiden Sir. It seems like all BAE Hawks fly good from the Arrows 50, FW 70 and the FMS 80. It also seems a lot has happened since your last post. Was wondering about your FW F-16 70, I got one on order anything I should know setup wise? Thanks, always looking forward to your next post.

      This video was actually recorded before my F-16 video. It was my older F-16 that had crashed. The one from my last F-16 video is awesome! It's still in great condition and flies great!

    Was the xfly fan upgrade difficult?

    • @RaGeRC
      @RaGeRC  9 місяців тому +1

      Not really. The edf housing is a bit longer than the stock one I had to shave a little of the wood plates that the edf hatch cove bolts on to but that was it no shaving of the foam or anything like that. It's pretty straight forward.

    • @iwmatthews100
      @iwmatthews100 9 місяців тому +1

      I'm actually considering getting one then installing the FMS fan

    • @RaGeRC
      @RaGeRC  9 місяців тому +2

      @iwmatthews100 honestly the stock freewing one is just fine. I did speed test on both and they're about the same. The freewing one is actually lighter

    Great flying jet but they are super sketchy on the ground.. i recommend half throttle until you get it rolling

    Fly battery telemetry. You will always know your battery status. I had an F5 sit in a tree for over a month... No issues with it
