I don't get it? Why can't I scan just using a backlight on my phone? Seems easier and don't have to buy all the extra stuff. I guess I answered my own question.
Tried the App but slides constantly out of focus and then it stopped cropping the slide and then... the free portion ended. Maybe 10 tries and hadn't gotten one decent scan and no option for trying to get it right before "purchasing" - so didn't!
I got nothing. Went to the backlight page but all the slides I tried were dark. Nothing worked.
Good idea, app, if you only have a couple of negatives to scan. Not an efficient way to do a bunch
It is impossible to hold the slide in one hand and tap and hold the photo button with the other, without losing focus. I've tried for hours to get this to work. Going to project the slides onto a wall, then photograph them. I was prepared to pay for the app, but it is just frustrating.
On the first day of the free trial I managed to scan six slides, then it put a lock icon on the Add button and just keeps taking me back to the promo pages, with no way of scanning any more slides.
crap,! didn't work. couldn't get the app to click 1 picture no matter how long i held the red button.
I got the app for the 3 day trial, and figured it would stop working at the end of 3 days. Instead it kept working, but started charging me $8.99 per month. I don't remember agreeing to that. Also, I found it pretty cumbersome to hold the slide in front of the camera with one hand, while pressing the button for 3 seconds with the other. I can see why they offer a slide holder attachment for sale. But I wanted to see if the app works first, and then buy accessories if it seems promising, not buy stuff, then throw it out if it's not useful. Now I can't even find the attachment online anymore.
I only used the app to scan 14 slides, some multiple times because they did not turn out well. Now it won’t let me scan anymore without upgrading, instead of having a 3 day free trial as promised when I downloaded the app. Also when I tried to save the photos, it has been “processing” forever...just like others complained about. Not impressed!

Pretty useless app, after copying just says processing forever... Nothing appears in my photos!
The app is easy to use but produces 800k files that look good on the iPhone but not so good when its viewed on a 32" TV. I need a better scanner software.
for whatever reason slides are dark, got tired of trying it and reading and writing down directions..SOS PLEASE!!!
I had the same experience as previous comments. I scanned once and then 5 minutes later tried to scan again and it kept taking me to the free trial or sign up page. There are no instructions for scanning again.
Ditto on other comments good the first try then nothing so much for a 3day trial
The pictures scanned is of pour quality
I took 4 photos to practice and the app locked up! Utter crap
