I don't get why frontier is hated by so many. Emperorgreymon and metal kabutarimon are hype!
This kind of content hits specially hard because it's Frontier, and it kinda becomes the Koji and Takuya show on the later parts. I'm so happy to see every spirit getting the final form they deserve.
So kind of like Adventure becoming the Tai and Matt show?
@@BlackHedgehog Yes, but kinda worse because the rest of the cast has to lend their spirits to Takuya and Koji and aren't able to even transform.
@@BlackHedgehog It's worse than Adventure 2020, the plot end up revolved around Koji and Takuya. Even the Tomoki/Tommy bullying plot end up nowhere. Adventure 2020 is better in comparison. As a fan of Frontier and the Ancient Warrior thing, it's disappointing. They doesn't even put as much effort as the two lead character evo for the rest of the group evolution line design and it got even worse when it came to the evolution line of the corrupt ancient warrior. There's no explanation or hint and fan had to kind of put out their own theory. For example, fan theorized that the Steel in the Spirit of Steel is meant to represent the earth mineral element used in witchcraft, magic and potion making in fantasy setting and that serve as the explanation by fan to for example the clearly not-Steel Beast Spirit of Steel, Sephirothmon. Let's not talk about how they did Seraphimon dirty which by just died because he just stand and did nothing in front of Cherubimon (Virus). Which is why the Adventure draw many Frontier fan out there like me because of how similar it is plot wise to Frontier and in fact Frontier with it's Ancient Warrior, Three Great Angel and the battle between the Good Force lead by the angel against the Dark Force clearly inspired the Adventure 2020. The Ancient Warrior Digimon from Frontier even directly and indirectly appear in Adventure 2020.
@@dexusittogs525 Personally while i like the design of the Unified Form of EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon and like them as Digimon. It's just simply unnecessary. When i first watch Frontier, i taught they should have give the rest of the cast the Fusion Spirit and then the rest of the cast Fusion merge into a single entity Digimon known as Susanoomon. If they really want to give a special treatment to Takuya and Koji, EmperorGreymon and MagnaGarurumon should have appear through special mean, like the feeling and hope of other Digimon or something kind of like how Taichi and Yamato first achieve Omegamon in the Our War Game movie, not by 'stealing' the rest of the cast spirit with the rest of the cast end up being a cheer leader. It's quite frustating especially since Tommy/Tomoki and his Spirit of Ice is my favourite. I originally hate Daipenmon cause i considered this as a clear 'favoritism' from the show but i've learnt to love Daipenmon though still want to see Daipenmon have some kind of battle or warrior mode, a penguin warrior with an ice sword.
That's what happens when you go beyond 3 main characters. If you look at Tamers and Data Squad, they had 3 main characters and 1 extra character that was their equal. They all got to the highest evolution stages.
Meanwhile, characters that go above 3-4 characters end up ultimately focusing on 2 characters to carry the torch.
I think Frontier videos do so well because the season has a lot of untapped potential and we love seeing you and your art squad fill in those gaps. Also I dig RegeTrojamon - on top of all the stuff you said, he also looks like common interpretations of Silvanus, the Roman God of forests.

Oh that's a definite. Even on surface level Frontier had immense potential, and only more is unearthed as we explore the concepts introduced. Love that they're doing well so Karn has ALL the excuses to keep digging.
We just want Frontier to be better since we all know that season was a HOT FREAKIN' MESS

QueenMermaidmon and PrimeWisemon are definetly my favorites here. I already liked the spirits of water and human spirit of steel, but these designs are gold for me. They truly give me the feeling of rulers you don't want to mess with.
The four evils turned out really well. The wood and earth spirits especially. They manage to look perfect and absolutely out of place at the same time, and I mean that as a compliment.

I like how RagnaBeetmon feels like a final form Kamen Rider, quite fitting consider the Kamen Rider inspiration of Beetmon. Also whoo boy, those Wind and Water unification are very close to a wardrobe malfunction

I actually had an idea for this myself; with the Wind Spirit having two versions by switching out the final spirit she absorbs
- Mabmon for Ice as the final
- Titaniamon for Fire
I would have called LordSphinxmon PharaohSphinxmon, but that is just me. All of these designs are absolutely beautiful and makes me wish these were in the show.
An idea just popped in my head a few days ago “What if the 02 digimon DNA Digivolved with the source of their digieggs?”

I absolutely love these designs. My head conon for other unified evolutions to be formed was different combinations of spirits, as well as who was unifying of course. For example lightning, water, wind, ice, and darkness would be used to make a unified electric spirit being the perfect storm bringer
God Frontier videos are always amazing! I was always salty because it felt like the other frontier kids got left behind, so seeing these designs is like a dream come true! The designs are amazing and all feel like they fit theme!
Frontier is a season with so many ideas and potential. Despite the lack of digimon partners I think Spirit Evolution is one of the best mechanics.

Frontiers is and always will be one of my favourite Digimon series, so I am all about the continued content. Looking forward to whatever else you've got cooking. Maybe "what if the Spirits were Crests instead of Elements" could be a fun future topic?
I actually really love the look of the unified Earth spirit here. The almost Sentai vibes plus the hammer make it seem like a great rival to the Thunder spirit. And I think it goes without saying that the unified Steel spirit is nothing short of remarkable.
Ragnakabutarimon looks amazing! I especially like the Thunder Spirit symbol on the head of the hammer

omg how did i miss this video, im sitting here editing a short and saw this on my homepage, iv always wanted to see this kind of evolution, though i always thought they would call it zen evolution. with the idea that the more powerful chaotic beast forms would mix with the more control and skillfulness of a human form. imagine a agunimon with all of ancient graymons power.

At this point, I've settled for DaiPenmon being a representation of how the combined spirits of ice would react to a child like Tommy. Seeing something like a "proper" Jogress of Chakmon and Blizzarmon though... that'd be the dream.
I love ALL OF THESE!!! Frontier is my favorite season, along with 02. Digi Sentai deserves more love.
0:01 I actually kind of love the show. I never really understood why dome people felt the lack of partners ruined it, though maybe that's because I was just a little kid when this season came out
I always struggled with the no partners thing as a kid but have really come to love the show and it's potential as an adult! It does confuse me how much hate the season seems to get!

Ragnakabuterimon is so freaking hype! The atlakabuterimon gauntlets make him look like the superhero J.P. is always trying to be. I honestly love this one so much.
All of these are absolutely incredible, but that Hephestus-esque unification was perfection. Absolutely incredible, especially tieing in the lackluster (in my opinion) design of AncientVolcamon in a great way. Heck I might need to borrow from that concept....
Hell Yeah! I love Frontier. Would wake up at 5a.m in the morning to catch a bus at 6a.m. for school and would watch it while getting dressed and getting ready. I've always wanted to see unified forms for the other kids and even the other spirits!
I like this idea, having certain spirits be the base of a unified Spirit evolution.
Also I like Daipenmon, I just don’t think it fits as a Fusion since Ancient Megatheriumon’s abilities were passed on to Mammal and Icy/Snow Digimon and Penmon is a bird Digimon who got abilities from Ancient Irismon
I love frontier so much and find these videos the most interesting I truly believe that they should reboot kinda like with adventure 2020 and show all 10 kids and their unified forms cuz I think that would be really cool
Digimon Frontier is definitely an underrated season even though I dislike the fact that near the end, Kouji and Takuya get all the glory.
Having said that, I LOVE these Digimon fanarts because it explores the unknown possibilities.
The artists did such an amazing job with all of these, I’ve been wanting this video for a while now and was not disappointed!

Back in the day when I watched Frontier for the first time I remember wanting for the other main kids to have double spirit evos like Takuya and Koji. Which I was happy to know they exist even if they didn't make it to the anime lol
But unified spirit evos for the other kids (much less for the 4 warriors left) has NEVER CROSSED MY MIND. So this video came to me as a huge surprise😵
The artists sure did hard work here. And my favorite, without a doubt, is Primewisemon🌟 Love the design and concept behind it. Excellent work.
Then there's the Air and Water unified spirits. Great designs on both ladies of the legendary warriors👍

As a kid I was into Digimon and Power Rangers you can imagine how much I loved Frontiers.
I love these all of them are very fantastically well done and if I have to pick some favorites here they are:
JP's unified evolution is badass and gives me superhero vibes.
Zoe's has a fantastic fusion of both of her spirits and her hair....... Cough and is very attractive cough.
Ranamon's is also..... Oh Lord hers is just woof I'm imagining her Southern bell accent going through with that and damn lol.
Koichi's is amazing and finally...... Mercurymon's is so mysterious but fitting and his design gives me so many Mysterio from Spiderman feelings lol. Overall all of these are very fantastic unified spirit original designs and I would love if these were the Canon ones. Great job on the video Karn and I have good news a friend of mine has joined the digimon side and hes playing cyber sleuth and he's enjoying it! Again amazing work!

I love seeing the other spirits get the love they deserve from this channel. It always bugged me how the others got thrown by the wayside after the beast spirit arc, so it’s nice seeing the hypotheticals of what we could’ve had if the writing was a bit more equal.
They should have at least gotten their fusion spirits at least
if there had been a few episodes of the children on Earth it would have been the perfect opportunity for them to combine the digital spirits
and also for the other 4 children to use the missing spirits
gosh i loved frontier. even as a kid. it always was one of my favourite three seasons.
I would love for frontier to get a reboot season. This season has so much potential that they didn’t get to expand on and with the new graphics and storytelling abilities would make a great opportunity for them to do so.

Enjoyed these Unified Spirits, especially ones like Ragnabeetmon (Though I think it should have been named Ragnabeetlemon), LordSphinxmon, and PrimeWisemon. Though honestly, I would have liked to see the Unified Spirits for the "Evil" Warriors instead be based on your Purified versions of them. I'd have loved to see how your artists would have handled them. Maybe keep in mind what Spirits would be used to make the Unified Spirit evolutions. Like Earth, Water, Light, and Wind for the Unified Wood Spirit since those are things that can assist in Plant Growth.

Damn those are awesome designs!!! This is why I wish Digimon shows would spread the love more around all partners instead of just the lead protagonist and maybe one or two others, because there is infinite potential in Digimon evolutions and so many cool design options to discover!!! Atleast the modern series seem to be less tunnel visioned

Per usual, this was a great video, Karn EX. I'd especially enjoyed the design element of the Zudomon hammer implemented into RagnaKabuterimon, with the additional theme of the thunder element, to create a pretty cool insectoid-Thor looking unified evolution. I'd also greatly enjoyed ChiefIkkakumon/Chiefmegatheriumon's design process of implementing elements of the Zudomon line, as well as clever nods to the prior evolutions of the Earth Spirit line. I'll say, I also found the additional digivolution designs given to some of the evil Digimon spirit variants, especially PrimeWisemon and GranVolcamon, and thought their designs pretty greatly implemented the themes associated with their being more heavily armored and robotic-looking Digimon. On that note, as always, I wish you and your team the best of luck, and look forward to your next upload!

You hit it out of the park with all of these! My favorite were the dark spirits, but all of them are amazing. They are the perfect blend of lore, the digivolution line and just coolness factor. I want a season with these so bad.

Digimon frontier I feel like is so underrated. And it's only cause susanoomon and the hyper spirit evolution song like that song is just chef's kiss in every way. By far the best Digimon song. (Although butterfly slaps too as it's my favorite anime opening of all time)
Missed the opportunity to call Koichi fused form pharaohsphinxmon it would be both an awasome title and tie into the naming theme.

The frontier-themed custom art videos are always my favorite! My personal favorite was GranVolca(no?)mon, with the whole blacksmith vibes.
For the next custom art videos, how about new elemental spirits, like a greater amount of weaker spirits that focuses on a more specific element(s), such as mud, explosions, cars, flowers, crayons, sand, rain, potatoes, who knows??
Man all these artist never fail to deliver on kick ass art man I love all there work and your as well keep putting out these fun vids
These custom art videos always blow me away. I might admittedly like them the most of your content but you know, new things are great. As someone who for the most part enjoyed Frontier I welcome more videos for it.
You know, even if Zoe, JP, Tommy, and Koichi never got Unified Spirit Evolutions, I would have enjoyed a case where Zoe and Tommy are also part of the EmperorGreymon rather than it just being Takuya, the same with JP and Koichi being with Koji. That way, those four aren't relegated to just being powerless humans that just stand on the sidelines. They could have spoken in a unified voice when talking.
Another aspect would be that they can also utilize the moves and abilities of the other spirits that compose them. Imagine if EmperorGreymon suddenly started using Hurricane Wave and Blizzard Blaster, or MagnaGarurumon using Thunder Fist and Shadow Meteor.
It would have made fights a whole lot more entertaining and enjoyable.
And if they each DO get a Unified Spirit Evolution, then do something similar to what Adventure Reboot did, and have it that when Takuya is leading, it's EmperorGreymon, and if Zoe takes over as the lead, EmperorGreymon Slide Evolves to CommanderIrismon. It'd definitely be a great way to utilize their abilities and gain an advantage in battle.
I really like watching frontier videos cause I don't really have it in me to watch the whole season but you give hella info on it but also we jump straight to the fun fan stuff right way

I'd like it if you made hybrid/fusion forms for not only the 'evil' spirits, but also forms for Thunder, Ice, and Wind that are more similar to the others, looking like actual fusions of the digimon. Like Blitzmon having Bolgmon's cannon as an arm or something. Gigasmon having Grottemon's armor and a modified version of its hammer. Just thought I'd put the idea out there.

Frontier is such a cool series with so much wasted potential XD.
DigiSpirits could be used a lot in the franchise in such cool ways, but because of how Bandai and Toei wants to forget they even existed, we don't really know how they are even created.
I wish they went back and did more with the DigiSpirits.

Frontier is like the Kamen Rider or Super Sentai of digimon. The haters are vocal, the real ones are still coming up with their own ranger/rider/spirit evolution.

Primewisemon is just perfect
The designs were legit. I like the art styles of everybody involved but Weirdomon has a style that almost looks like its official. RagnaKabuterimon/Beetmon was the fave design overall. If the Thunder Spirits were like Kamen Riders then that form would be like their Ultimate Form.
The thing I love the most about Frontier is that it feels like a fusion of Digimon and Kamen Rider (I love both). These concept arts look stunning. Shout out the artists who worked on this and you, Karn for making this video (more Frontier and Appmon love please!)

Here's a weird idea for a video that, kinda just came to my mind. What if every season had an extra Tamer/ has an extra main character's partner. Like what digimon do you think would make for a good addition to the partner line up? Idk just a thought.
I started rewatching this season, cool to more stuff on it
I would love to see “fixed” Versions of the Fusion spirits that’s towards the ones for fire, light, or darkness. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with the designs we got, but I’ve always liked how the ones for fire and light really looked like a combination of the human and beast spirits (especially since the transformation was always presented as if they were wearing the spirits of clothes).
Really cool video. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who generally saw the Hyper Spirit Evolutions as like the Mega-level equivalent for Frontiers, so seeing the others get some of them like how the Adventure kids outside of Tai and Matt finally got their Megas in tri would definitely be a dream come true of sorts.
ChiefIkkakumon (although it lacks a horn to be really called "Ikkaku", since I'm pretty sure that's literally just japanese for "one horn") looks really cool, although I'm not sure I like it as a Hyper Spirit/Transcendant Spirit, probably because my image of them is that they're more mechanical and would later combine to become Susanoomon, which I can hardly imagine ChiefMegatherriumon doing anything like that.
CommanderIrismon (who also looks really great, could even see it as a Jogress of Angewomon and a potential Perfect-level for Aquilamon) goes more into that direction, imo, although of course as possible as it showing a lot of skin is, if instead of skin its body was more like Ophanimon Falldown Modes it'd probably fall perfectly in line with that mechanical image.
RagnaKabuterimon is another outstanding design, it even fits the mechanical image I'd expect, although in its case I'm more so missing an element of scale, it has very regular human proportions, which makes me think it's a Digimon more so on the scale of Angemon and Angewomon, Justimon, Ravemon and the sort. Certainly not impossible, and it'd be kinda fitting for the bug to be the smallest one, I'm just not sure if that was supposed to be the intent. -Also I feel it could have more Kuwagamon-elements, since AncientBeetlemon is kinda supposed to be the ancestor to both Kabuterimon- and Kuwagamon-species, even if that really doesn't come out in its spirits as much, which is kinda why I'd like to see it here-
LordSphinxmon is probably my favorite out of these with all its references to the line, and while it'd be easy to make it more similar to MagnaGarurumon as counterparts of light and dark, and it somewhat resembles it, it doesn't really do it too much, it definitely hits that sweetspot of feeling original while still feeling connected.
The concept behind RegiTroiamon is really cool, and it itself also looks really cool, like it could easily be a sick new Mega for Cherrymon, but again, the mechanical bits, makes me feel like it could or should've called back to Arbormon just a bit more. Also, it irks me just a bit that a "Troiamon" doesn't call back to that myth more obviously, like, the King Priam angle is interesting, but there's not much of a reference to the city itself, even if not going with a reference to the Trojan horse, like the citys great walls, or heroes like Hector.
GranVolcamon honestly just looks perfect. It _does_ also kinda remind me of a Bakugan, although that's by no means a bad thing.
QueenMermaidmon looks... :eyes: ... very good. Although again, mechanical aspects, instead of going the Ophanimon Falldown Mode-way with the skin again, maybe the skin being more scaley would already do the trick... At first I also thought it might look a bit too much like AncientMermaidmon, just with legs and green skin, but the more I look at it, the more I feel like I just didn't remember what AncientMermaidmon looks like.
And then PrimeWisemon... I think I gotta take back what I said about LordSphinxmon, THIS is my favorite one. Just perfect, and how it also adds mercury to the design flawlessly. Just chefs kiss. Even without the godlike subtle references to FMA.

Not gonna lie. A LOT of these are in line with forms I thought of as a kid. Mostly Ice, Thunder, Wind and Darkness. Great Vid and I can't wait for more custom Art. You and your friends to amazing jobs!

As someone who was asking for this video for a few months in the comments, I'm glad it already exists in the catalog.
I think the reason why I'm not the biggest fan of Frontiers, isn't because there wasn't great ideas, but rather it felt more like the great new concepts were under utilized and under explored. I think that's why I really enjoy the Frontiers stuff you do, because you cover the stuff I wish we got to see more of in that season.
So much potential from Frontier still. Amazing art as always.

Ah man, these are gorgeous! I LOVE Wind, Steel, Darkness, and Wood. The others are great as well, but Steel and Wind are definitely my favorites

I feel like a lot people either don’t like frontier or they love it i personally love it but I can see how you wouldn’t because I’d strays so much from what we’re used to it in the digimon franchise but I think that’s precisely what makes me love it so much because I love Element systems those are really cool and let’s be honest I feel like most people I feel like most people would rather have powers and be able to fight digimon on their own vs having a partner that fights for them plus it kinda leaves the human open to attack at any moment I cannot express my love for this season enough
4:56 I figured out that commander kazemon is the combination of wind, water, light, ice and thunder.
Frontier is actually my FAVORITE season, with Tamers in a close second. Seeing you guys expand each seasons evolutions is always such a thrill!
