You always have the best tutorials for what I need help in
Thank you
Fantastic tutorial. I wonder if one day you could do an interview with yourself or somebody just as important regarding your knitting journey and how you reached the place where you are now. You are very clever and so popular, usually having a tutorial on something or other that is really helpful. This is my wish and I am sure I am not alone. Thank you for all your help.
Marie, you are so kind, thank you! I will definitely consider your request. ❤️
Finally video I can understand thanks!
You are a great teacher. Thank you! 🙏
I am so glad you made this technique video I have often wondered how to do that so thank you. I have used a duplicate stitch to weave in the ends but didn’t know that’s what I was doing just liked the results. As you can probably tell I’ve never had a lesson just figured it out myself. U-tube and the web has been an eye opener for me. I’ve learned so much from your videos. So again I thank you.
Wonderful, keep up the good work, Sharon!
Thank you for helping me understand why my Level 2 argyle sock has twisted duplicate stitches. Now, I can do them properly.
J😊
Glad I could help!
You have such a gift for instruction! Thanks bunches, Suzanne.
Thank you so much, Barbara! ❤️
Thank you for this great tutorial! I struggle with the duplicate stitch even though I usually can follow knit tutorials of all kinds. But your video is exactly what I needed since I was adding an “S” to a doll sweater. I followed you exactly and finally have success!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for another informative video, Suzanne! I started knitting a few months ago, and my skills and knowledge have improved so much because of your videos.
You are very welcome and thank you for the feedback!!
Great tutorial ! Mine looks so much better now . I was never happy with the coverage but I wasn’t going under the legs correctly . Thank you !
Thank you. Most definitely helpful for me 🤯🙏
Wonderful, so glad it was helpful! ❤️
Thank you very much those explanations are very clear
Thank you Suzanne. You've made it simple. Perfectly clear instructions.
You are so welcome, I'm glad I could help!
Great tutorial! Thank you so much. I just started with a duplicate stitch pattern over the weekend for the first time. I knitted a cute little topdown sweater for my great nephew and thought of embellishing it with a tractor. I got discouraged halfway through because it didn't look right. Actually, it looks pretty sloppy!!! After watching your video I decided to undo it and start over!
Maria I am glad the video was helpful, sometimes starting over is the best option. I'm sure your nephew will enjoy whatever you come up with, a tractor sounds very fun!
Ah ha! I learned a thing or two today. Thank you Suzanne
Happy to help!
Thank you so much for this great video. Trying to monogram a baby sweater and haven’t found a video that helped me this much.
Fantastic tutorial, thank you very much
Again, it's a very useful video, like all your channel ! Thank you so much Suzanne.
For me it seems to work easier if you start left under and work to the top. The stitches in the straight lines from bottom to top will look less bulkier and the middle part will work far more easier because your hand is not in a lefthanded modus .
It is always a matter of what works best for each knitter, so there's really no right or wrong. I like showing and sharing different techniques that may work better for you. Thanks so much for watching! 😊
So glad I found your video Suzanne! I’ll use it to initial the Christmas stockings. Thank you for your clear instructions. I hope you have a happy holiday too.🥰
Thank you so much for the kind feedback, Mary! And Happy Holidays to you as well! ❤️
Really useful tutorial as I duplicate stitch my son's Darth Vader Sweater! Just found you and I really appreciate all your videos (and signed up for the Basics class in prep for MKP!)
That's wonderful, Barhart! I'm sure your son is going to love and treasure his Darth Vader sweater!
You make it look easy! Thank you!
You are very welcome, Karen! 😊
thank you for your help and time! This was very helpful!
You're so welcome, Phillip, thanks for watching! ❤️
Thank you, Suzanne. I’ve never been pleased with my duplication stitching and I have a bunny to DS soon, so this was very timely.
Glad it was helpful, I really appreciate your feedback!
You are one of the outstanding instructors who is continually adding to knitting becoming a fine art. the sophisticated subtleties you introduce are very exciting and elegant. I now know why I have done dupes that were wonky because either catching the purl bump or being ignorant about left or right ineedle insertion. Thanx so much, looking forward to using these instructs.
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback, Barbara! ❤️
Hi Suzanne, your video has so inspired me to make my beautiful nieces endless designs. I actually just purchased some knitters graphing paper (btw, didn't know it existed) so that I can keep my patterns for future use. You are an amazing talented instructor and really appreciate you for sharing your video. Thank you so very much and I can't wait to start the duplicate stitch. Stay blessed 😍
I so love hearing this, Ana, thank you for sharing! Your nieces are so lucky to have you! ❤️
@@SuzanneBryan Thank you Suzanne❤️
Good you went over the duplicate stitch, I’m a hit & miss stitcher when going in a different direction.
Thank you, Joanne!
Ty so much Suzanne and that oops you did and took out really helped me to see the correct way!😃👏🏼👍❤️
You are so welcome, Judy! 😊
Very clear demo. Thanks!
Thank you!
Great tutorial, thanks. Quick question. On your finished product, do you work your duplicate stitches before or after blocking? And for which type of blocking; Steam blocking and Wet blocking; if it's different.
Great explanation of duplicate stitch. Thank you
Thanks so much, Cheryl! 😊
Thankyou
You’re so welcome, Dianne! Thank you for watching! 😊
Cool! Thank you Suzanne!
You are so welcome!
Thanks Suzanne ❤
You are very welcome
When embroidering cursive names on baby knits hoodie night pants bibs what the best way so i don't mess it up Thanks & Live you works 💗😘
Are you talking about duplicate stitch, or embroidery, like a back stitch. If embroidery, I like to put a backing to the fabric, like a tear away interfacing, to give the knitting some support. Definitely try it on a swatch first,@@marianneknapp4846
@@SuzanneBryan yes Embroidery in cursive letters I'm kind nervous with all the movement of the knit fabric if I put it on a hoop and take it off could be wrong I trying to put her name down the pant leg in a larger font im really unsure? Thanks again 😘💗
I love the details in your videos and I always use your videos for my TKGA Professional Knitter course work. Question: Do you have another video that you talk about direction of knitting and anchors for duplicate stitch?
Not at the moment, adding this topic to my video todo list. Thank you
This might seem strange, but I wasn't really absorbing the technique until the video played at a faster speed when you were working on the long row of stitches at the bottom of the letter. Thanks.
Thank you for the feedback, Sue, I appreciate it!
When you are stitching from top to bottom in a straight line, why can't you just catch the legs of the colored stitch above it instead of the legs of the stitch underneath so that you don't have the bleed through?
You could, but then you would see the duplicate stitch yarn crossing under the legs of the previous stitch. Try it on a swatch and see how it looks.
Where did you get the knitting graph paper you are using?
Hi Nirmala! Here is a link to the graph paper,

@@SuzanneBryan THANK YOU!
How does one do duplicate stitch left-handed?
The same way you would with your right hand, but be sure that the needle is always going in the correct direction. That is what is important, the direction of the needle while creating the duplicate stitches.
