  • Realtime female head sculpting tutorial in Zbrush.
    In this 30 min video I will sculpt a female head from a sphere and give you helpful tips along the way, about what to look for when sculpting the eyes and the mouth. I will also show you what reference images you should be searching for to better understand the forms of the face. I tried to sculpt this as comprehensibly as possible so that you could sculpt along more easily. I hope it is a helpful video for the more beginner sculptors out there!

    You have no idea dude! You have actually helped me improve my female head mate! I have tried doing your way of starting a base head by making the base plane shapes of the overall head and proportions. And it massively improved my female heads now. which is still my weakness by the way! I can't wait to use that same workflow-based foundational shape for my male heads which I'm better at and see the results! You're a savior! Please, make a course one day I'd definitely going to pay for it especially when it focuses on the main forms or basic shapes of the entire human body. just like that! Thank you again!

    Hello and regards,
    I really enjoyed your work. It was very professional and delightful. I also wish to work like you and have tried a lot, but it hasn't been enough. I would be grateful if you could guide me on where to learn. I will definitely use your videos.
    I sincerely appreciate your generous guidance.
    Currently, I am learning human anatomy.

      Thanks! The best way to learn imho is by looking at 3D scans, since you could actually see it from all angles and understand the shapes much easier.
      For courses I recommend Nikolay Naydenov, he makes pretty detailed explanations compared to other courses I have watched.

    Great way to practice. What is the best way to understand anatomy though for likeness or original characters? Amazing tutorial .I just wondering how to do this stuff from imagination once I learn from these great tutorials!

    • @Merce881
      @Merce881  Рік тому +3

      Build a good reference image library, watch tutorials and practice as much as you can. You will notice new things for every new sculpt you create, that's improving. Then eventually you will have improved enough to be able to sculpt from your imagination or to create a likeness.

    Mostly zbrush artists turn off the perspective but you don't. I confused, which one right desicion, help me

    • @Merce881
      @Merce881  Місяць тому

      Focal lens 85 to 100mm is fine for sculpting organic stuff. If you have a reference for your character which is in orthographic view you should turn the perspective off to better match the reference. Orthographic is also used to model hard surface objects.
      It's best to turn perspective on and of as you work on the model to make sure it looks nice in both.

    Heyy, i wanted to ask if these sculpting practices can be used inside blender?? I wanted to learn character sculpting so i am thinking about practicing anatomy sculpting first and I am familiar with blender.

    • @Merce881
      @Merce881  Рік тому +1

      Yes of course! The software doesn't matter and blender is also awesome for sculpting.

    is there any difference between the 'move' brush and 'move topology' brush I'm curious, I'm new to Zbrush, thanks for the video!

    • @Merce881
      @Merce881  Рік тому +1

      Yes, the move topological doesn't affect the surrounding topology. For example if you wanted to move only the nose of your character and used the move brush it would also move the mouth, that's not the case with the move topological.

    • @vinitliya
      @vinitliya Рік тому

      Move brush good for dynamesh and topology best for topological mesh
