pretty sure they use super lite cams for weight, theirs some vids out there of pov and there using glasses with a super small cam. not 100% sure tho

Two things...
1) Amazing that you can even hear the downshifts of the car in front from so far away! I'm using headphones and thought I was simply imagining things at first. That's one hell of a mic you must be using to pick that up without being overpowered by the in-cabin sound. Was it just trial and error setting levels and limiters or were you able to do some quick tests before the hot laps?
2) I never understood the appeal of the airplane/F1-style steering wheels until now. I realize we're seeing from his "chin" view, and not his eye view, but it's still very clear how much visibility would be impaired with a full hoop! Wow!
Wondering if driver can hear the sound of the car in front, do they put ear plugs when driving gt3's ?
Helmet already filter the sound of their own car and other car.
Yeah I was amazed by the other cars sounds coming through also.
i never use earplugs while racing. Even though my engine is probably a little bit louder than this one.

@@burgers3309 the gears are cut straight instead of helical which makes a cool whine sound when they spin, same reason why road cars make a whine sound in reverse, its because the reverse gear is typically also straight! in race cars its done because straight cut gears transmit power more efficiently at the cost of a sound that would be unpleasant to listen to for a 4 hour highway drive, hence its not really used on road cars.

Guilty pleasure of mine is to listen with my headphones while I drive to and from work. It really peps up my drive and allows me to feel like I’m driving a race truck.

Very, very nice. Beautifully slow hands on the wheel, very little sawing around. Most impressive, especially in rain. Excellent on the throttle and brakes, too, nothing sudden and upsetting to the car. I would want this guy on my endurance racing team, his style is easy on the car and minimizes the risk of the car breaking due to operator error or negligence. Smooth, smooth, smooth like Fangio or Stewart. I'm impressed.

small electric pump that rebuilds air presssure in the gearbox actuator in order to change gears :) Hope that clears it up for you.

How much longer until a game truly looks like this? Im guessing 10-15 years.
u2zero2u wild guess maybe 50-100. Game developers aren’t going to be making truly interactive movies anytime soon.They would have to hire actors and strap go pros on them and it would take forever plus it will be insanely crazy as the budget would be higher. The GoPro would only work for first person view games. For third person a cameraman would have to follow the actor as they run or walk. Animations and mocap is where it’s at.
I can see it being done for racing games like gran turismo in 50 years but not open world or anything. I would love it myself though, the real life graphics would be insane!

Simulating real world physics A to Z will take some time and achieving ultra photo realism a bit more. These things are already in motion so yeah a decade is what we're talking about.

few days ago i took a ride on a street model and MAAAAN, my eyeballs were going inside my head when launching. powerful machine.
So which one is faster around monza, this GT3 or SuperTrofeo? Plus what's the main difference between them>
Simply put, the Super Trofeo is a customer - a racing car that only races against other Super Trofeos (Think FXX K), while the GT3 is an actual competing race car bought by teams that compete against other teams with other manufacturers etc. They are visually different, as the GT3 is built to motorsport regulations/standards and thus the Super Trofeo and it have different aerodynamics, with the GT3’s being slightly more aggressive. The GT3 is homologated to FIA standards so the power has to be kept around 500 hp, while the Super Trofeo has 610 like the road car. The GT3 is about 70 pounds lighter however. In terms of speed around Monza, that really depends on the particular Series for the GT3 and the driver, however it did put a 1.47.999 pole in Qualifying 2 at Monza in 2017 in the Blancpain GT series, while the Super Trofeo got a 1.47.109. So the ST is slightly faster here.
richzilla08 Anyone can buy any one of the two, the Trofeo would destroy an FXXK or any other none GT3/GT2 Ferrari, and Trofeo's ONLY (race) against other Trofeo's in their own league. While Super Trofeo's have more power than the GT3 make, the GT3 make has more grip and technological advancements to help it corner and perform (overall) a lot better than the Trofeo.

Just need some mufflers, some ECU tweaks, left and right turn signals, reverse light, horn, street tires, and increased ride height, and your good to go!

This makes me anxious for Assetto Corsa Competizione to finish development. GT3 is such a great class. Just the right amount of modification to make them serious racecars while staying surprisingly true to the road version, IMO at least. The Huracan is one of my favorites. Who doesn't love a mean looking Lambo? Great video. Excellent quality.
