Come along for a week in the life vlog, Spring edition. Spring has definitely sprung on the farm. We are having fun doing all the outside activities. Me too because so many parents these days are afraid of dirt. 😂. I grew up in the era of you got sent outside after breakfast and you only got let in for lunch (if even) and to use the bathroom. Daily drinks were sips from the garden hose. Bath water was filled with dirt. 😂.
My boys all were allowed to play in the dirt and be messy as well.
Children should smell of dirt and cookies, I’ve often said. Anyway, the dirt part is still good, and butter bites are yummy too! 🧈
Outside fun helps to strengthen immune systems and so much more! Love seeing this!

I'm in Maine, and yes, we have TONS of ladybugs on the inside of windows in the sun. I must vacuum up hundreds daily on the windows! Yuk. They stink and they bite!😝

When you take your kids to their extracurricular activities, you can listen or read your books. You can also make it your time. I crochet usually while I watch my kid.

The extra curricular activities for kids....sigh....it's such a double edged sword. On one hand, I'm excited for them and on the other hand, the time management and balance part of it can get so tricky.
For us, homebody homemakers, that can get overwhelming. I love being at home and creating, cooking, and working on projects.

Neisha if you like series, then definitely read the Karin slaughter series that she has. The Grant county one is finished and amazing and the will Trent one is ongoing still but has a ton of books in it.
If you like scifi at all there is the Vorkosigan Saga by Lois Mcmaster Bujold its over a dozen books that are awesome. Its gripping and deep but funny and very snarky.

Last week I was thinking, I need a Beckett cooking episode. I was thinking he could show how to crack an egg correctly. Well the video starts and there he was with an egg, and again later. Good job Beckett. House is coming along. I love french doors for a view and a big deck. Nice to see kids, animals and that huge yard. Vegas is fun, hotels are amazing. Have fun

If your looking for some romance book ideas i would suggest authors Madison Love, Emma St. Clair, Ash Keller, carina Taylor, Melanie Jacobson, and Cindy Roland Anderson..
Also i highly recommend Trying out some of K.M. Shea any of the trillogies in her Magiford series for a funny feel good modern day fantasy with a little romance thrown in.😊
I love Cooking with Beckett. I loved cooking with our 3 boys when they were little. We still cook together some now and they are in their 20s. So precious.

Way back when I learned to cook, my dad had me in the kitchen when I was 13. Then when I went to SC I learned on my own to bake.
I usually don’t read a lot BUT after the silent patient. Well. I’m now on the court of thorns and roses 😀

I agree with Ken, sign Beckett up for martial arts of some type. We brought my son to Isshinryu karate when he was 6. He is 28 now and a 4 time black belt and he is teaching it. He loves it. Always has. I have been a fan of this since he was little because it helped with his disciplinary issues at that age and it has taught him so much. He had, and still does have, a wonderful teacher. Whatever you choose, if he gets into it fairly quickly then you will know it is for him. If he doesn’t take to it, and shows no improvement, then it isn’t. Not just he doesn’t want to do it, he doesn’t talk about how fun it is, doesn’t practice at home, then quit it and go somewhere else. Give it a month or so. Yes, it is hard to let them go and try things. If you have to sit there and watch him. Do not call out to him from the bleachers. Just let him learn. Do not be a helicopter mom.
Anyway, the children are totally adorable and they are doing so well. You are a terrific mom!

Here in Wi we very seldom see Lady Bugs anymore we see Asian Beetles that stink and bite but look very similar to lady bugs
