I made my Oblate profession in the 80's in a NO monastery. Now as a Traditional Catholic I have no desire to go back there. The Superior insisted that I just had "nostalgia" for the old rite.

The stonecutters are so smart with their stategy and successful. But the heart is stronger than the mind

Made to feel that something is wrong with you for seeking the good true and beautiful.

Nostalgia in its original meaning is "homesickness." You are longing for the sacred home of your ancestors, which is an image of the sacred home of heaven. Nostalgia in a more contemporary sense is hankering for the past. That, IMHO, is what we see in the ageing hippies who were kids during Vatican II and pine for the 1960s/1970s.

Haven't been to my monastery in years. Very fond of oblate director, but its very NO and I love tradition. Felt like member of different religion at meetings.

Yes. Sadly, it's very much as if there are two different religions competing for the same space.
