Thanks for the Garden Tour.
You’re welcome! Hope you enjoyed
Im trying habanada for the first time! Beautiful garden❤
Good luck! I think you will like them. Thank you Kim!
Greetings from Wisconsin, from my garden to yours. 🙂
Hello!! How is your garden doing?
My garden is doing great! However I was unable to successfully germinate the seeds for the Indigo Apple tomato you recommended. I think I got some old seeds because all my other tomatoes I started came up just fine. Hopefully I can try again next season. Your garden looks awesome!
@@lesliemontemayer4253 Glad to hear things are going well overall. That is disappointing about the indigo apple seeds! If you have any left you can try germinating them on a wet paper towel in a plastic baggie to get a good look at what is going on with them. Thank you for the kind words!
🌼🌼🌿🌿🌺🌺🙏🙏 from las Vegas
Wow hi! How is it growing in Las Vegas?
@@bloomandwiltgardens Hi, things are growing great! the heat is on big time going to get up to 110 degrees this weekend, growing hydroponically indoors allows me to grow year-round in Vegas, I lived in Hawaii my whole life and wish I could grow outdoors 🌿🌿 thanks for asking, Aloha Dean
@@HYDROPONICS-INDOORS I really like how you've found a successful system that works for you and your climate to continue growing food year-round! Great job
12:57 that looks like evening primrose.
It is very similar but is shaped differently than the evening primrose I have in my perennial garden. Are there multiple varieties?
how is it that your brassica's look so clean? I mean, not one leaf is eaten on. You have such a great garden. I like how you inter mix plants.
Just luck this year Mary.. usually the cabbage worms are decimating the leaves. I see the white moths fluttering around so it's only a matter of time! Thank you for the kind words!
Try starting your cabbage a month earlier than you have. I'm dealing with similar conditions as you (hot and humid) zone 4. My cabbage typically matures in July even though I start them super early. I am now experimenting with January starts and doing another sowing for fall in May. I'm beginning to believe that hybrids are the secret.
When do you start yours? I sowed these plants indoors on Feb 18 and transplanted outside April 13.
Hybrids do seem to do better with the heat
Thank you for the tour. Wood chips release large amounts of acid. I suggest you test it and or add lime. If you don't know, you can purchase a 50 pound bag of Diatomaceous Earth for less than $1 per pound from animal feed suppliers. Always use Food Grade only. The pool water filter kind is more toxic than the food grade kind when inhaled. When working with the powder please use a qualified filter mask. Do you wet spray it or dust it? I have found wet spraying more effective. This is my first year watching your channel. I will be most interested to see how the celery grows. Good Luck
Thanks for the tip on the DE!
I dust it on my plants. I used a mason jar with tulle netting over top to dust. I’ll look into wet spraying! Thank you 😊😊
@@bloomandwiltgardens Wet spray is simply mixing it with water and a bit of soap to help it stay in suspension. It needs to be shaken as it will settle quickly. I just realized I have not had to use it this way for years so I have forgotten the rest of the instructions. Nuts!
@@MattTCfarm that sounds really easy and effective! Thank you!!
I will have to check out your garlic video. Where do you get your bulbs?
I first ordered them from MIGardener and Baker Creek. I’ve also grown bulbs from local farms
