I have a question on listening Computer based test - While moving sections from 1 to 2, do we have to manually move the pages? and automatically the second section's audio will start after 1 min gap or once we move the page to section 2, the audio will start? Also, I am trying to find any website where I can practice exactly like IELTS Computer-based test but I am unable to find it. This video really comes in handy, thanks for that. I’ve just got an overall score of 7 for a paper delivered IELTS test but unfortunately the speaking score is lower than expected hence I will have to resit next month but I have never done the test on computer. @@GenesisLearning I see. The challenging question for me or almost everyone would be Multiple choice questions in part 3 containing long sentences. On paper, I used to mark or write notes but on computer it is a little bothering to type notes as well as there is not much time to do so.

@@GenesisLearning Hi again. I took CD IELTS yesterday and was a good experience, although I think that I might have made mistakes in writing task 2. The writing topic was parents nowadays believe that they should limit their children in using TV and playing computer games and instead want them to read books. Do you agree or disagree? What I did was that after typing the introduction, in next para I started with "on the plus side ... " which I mentioned some advantages of TV programs and PC gaming and then in the next para I started with "On the minus side ..." which I gave some reasons why these kind of activities are harmful and should be limited. Finally in my conclusion para I said that although there are advantages but children should be supervised while using these devices. What do you think about my task achievement or coherence score? How much I might lose? Thanks in advance.
Hi Noel. Can you please suggest what would be the best way to answer CDT listening questions? Write answers directly on the computer or write them on paper first? Problem with directly writing on the computer is, you have to write the correct answers (with correct spellings) and listen to the audio simultaneously. I don't see much material available on the internet for CDT listening. How did you practice yourself? :) Appreciate your response.
Hello and thank you for your query. You can type directly or transfer later depending on your speed. You dont have to type out the full word as you listen. I have always found directly typing more comfortable. ☺️
To add to Meghana’s question, let say after completing Part 2, I will have 30 seconds to check my Part 2 answers and I finish checking those within the next 5 seconds, so I still have 25 seconds left. Can I now proceed to read Part 3 questions? If yes, then will the Part 3 audio start directly? Or will I still have those 25 secs (that I had saved in Part 2) to read Part 3 questions?
